Zoe turned the laptop in front of her, so the screen was facing everyone.

"Max Gibson, only 24 years old, but he's been with the 54th Street gang for over 10 years."

"He was recently charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder in Victorville and sentenced to 12 years in prison. The 54th Street gang will do anything to help him escape, including helping him flee to another state."

Tim nodded. "I have an informant in the 54th Street gang. He might be able to give us so inside information."

Commander Gray ordered, "Go talk to your informant."

Tim indicated he understood and turned to leave with Lucy.

Zoe continued, "Ok, then. The next fugitive is Caleb Yost. In my opinion, he's the most dangerous one."

"He's 44 years old. He's a forr banker and investor. He was sentenced to 5 years for securities fraud, and then had his sentence extended to 8 years for resisting arrest and biting off the deputy sheriff's nose."

The onlookers exchanged glances at his past but Zoe's high eval.

Commander Gray interjected, "The FBI believes Caleb hid a large amount of cash before his arrest. He's likely to try to retrieve it and flee to other states."

"So, we need to use the FBI's leads to find where he's hiding the cash, and then wait for him to co to us?" Nolan seed thoughtful.

"Alright, everyone get moving. Before Tim gets enough information from his informants, you guys use the FBI's data to visit Caleb's relatives and find out where he's hiding the cash."

Zoe waved for everyone to disperse and go about their business.

Jack and Hannah visited Caleb Yost's first wife, a forr model in her early thirties. She had remarried and seed quite happy with her current wealthy husband.

After a few brief questions, they said goodbye and left. Back in their police car, Hannah radioed the command center for the latest updates; the two escaped prisoners hadn't been found yet.

However, Tim had so bad news. His informant said that the gang mber nad Max Gibson was unlikely to go back to the 54th Street gang for help because the guy had gotten involved with the gang leader's woman.

Jack almost laughed out loud when he heard this: "Why would this guy run? Doesn't he know that staying in prison is the safest place for him right now?"

Hannah shook her head: "Not necessarily. Victorville Prison isn't high-security. There might be gang mbers inside who want to kill him."

"It's more troubleso if he gets killed outside. If the body gets disposed of, our mission will be in trouble."

Jack shook his head and contacted Nolan's team through the walkie-talkie.

"Hey Nolan, anything found over there?"

Nolan's reply ca through the walkie-talkie. "We just arrived at Caleb Yost's second wife's aunt's house. The volunteer in charge of the community said she goes to church every day, but she didn't show up today, so…"

"Damn it, I think we need backup. The locks are broken."

Jack and Hannah exchanged a glance, checked Nolan's reported location on their police laptops, started the police car, sirens blaring, and drove off.

"Nolan, be careful, we're nearby, almost there."

Five minutes later, the two arrived at their destination. During the drive, Nolan described the situation over the public radio.

Caleb Yost hid the money in the fireplace at his ex-wife's aunt's house. When John and Nyla Harper arrived, he took the unfortunate old woman hostage and currently had her cornered in front of the fireplace in the living room.

Jack and Hannah got out of the car, about to go inside to help Nolan, when Zoe's call ca through the walkie-talkie.

It turned out that Tim's informant was a forr low-level mob boss who had retired from active cri. The gangster who had slept with his boss's wife had previously been his subordinate. The informant lured the gangster to his house and notified Tim to co and arrest him.

However, the 54th Street gang mbers discovered this and poured out, sealing off the informant's neighborhood. Tim and Lucy had already arrived, but a large number of police officers were on their way to Nolan and Jack and couldn't provide tily support.

According to Tim's report, thirty or forty gang mbers had gathered at the scene, determined to spill blood.

Of course, this was Jack's own interpretation.

However, Tim's situation was actually more dangerous. If a brawl broke out, innocent residents throughout the neighborhood would be caught in the crossfire.

Zoe demanded that the hostage situation be resolved as quickly as possible, while Tim would try to stall for ti until Jack and his team, along with reinforcents from other districts, arrived.

"What a ss, everything's all piled up together," Jack grumbled, rushing into the house with Hannah.

They were both stunned by the scene before them. This wasn't a normal hostage situation; the suspect had a gun to the hostage's head and was threatening the police to let him go.

The current situation was that Nolan and Nyla Harper were guarding opposite ends of the living room, one from the front and the other from the back.

Forr banker Caleb Yost, looking disheveled, leaned against the fireplace, surrounded by a dozen stacks of money pulled from it.

His right hand gripped a rope, the other end of which was tied to the trigger of a shotgun, which was taped to the shoulders of an elderly woman bound at the other end of the living room, the muzzle pointed directly at her head.

Well, this is basically putting a gun to the hostage's head, just a few more steps.

Nolan was still shouting at the forr banker, "Caleb, it's all over, you can't escape."

The forr banker looked like a desperate madman, his right hand raised high, the trigger strapped to it, yelling madly.

"Get out, you f*ckers, or I'll stain the walls red with blood."

Nolan was still using his signature verbal skills: "Right now, you only face charges of aggravated assault, which might put you in jail for a few more years, but if you kill her—"

"Shut up!"

Caleb Yost straightened the rope in his hand and shouted, "Don't talk nonsense to . I hate prison. If I get a chance to escape, I'll take it."

"Get back. Find soone who can make decisions, or I'm going to pull the trigger."

'Heh, I initially thought it was a bit silly to tie Aunt Sally up with duct tape, but now I think he did the right thing...for .'

Seeing this, Jack relaxed, quickly reviewed the guy's information in his mind, and imdiately had a plan.

He patted Nolan on the shoulder and whispered in his ear, "Don't you think this guy talks too much? Leave him to ."
