Ella nodded, "Leave the country. Anything else?"
"You!!" Jenny’s fingers trembled, "I trusted you...!"
’’And I am telling you I have nothing to do with this," Ella leaned forward and pressed her palms on the desk, "Professor, let’s be frank. I know you are Dean Mo’s mistress, not his daughter. So, if I had to reveal it to the world, wouldn’t I..."
"The reason you did not reveal it all at once is just so you could threaten more with it!" Jenny’s nails dug into her palms, "But rember Ella, I will ruin you if you dream of doing that."
"Oh? How so?"
"You just said that I am Dean Mo’s mistress. Then let tell you one thing, you don’t know what he is capable of!" Jenny smirked, "If you ss with , you cannot imagine the consequences you will suffer..."
Ella sighed, ’’Haven’t you given a demo of it years ago already? You pulled down from the peak of my career with a well-crafted scandal just to keep quiet... Now, I am already afraid of you..."
As she spoke, she retreated with her hands raised.
When Ella walked out of Jenny’s office, she found Ruby standing at the door.
"How was it?" Ruby looked at her.
Ella hooked her arm around Ruby’s and placed her head on her shoulder, "She is caught up in a scandal and she thinks I caused it."
’’Did you?"
Ella blinked, "Of course not. Do I look like such a an person?"
Ruby gave her a look.
Ella raised three fingers, "I swear."
On their way, Ruby’s footsteps slowed. Ella followed her gaze and glanced at the grand audition ground being arranged for the drama auditions.
Due to the intricate preparations, the audition dates have been a little delayed.
As Ruby looked at the place, a glint flickered in her eyes but in no ti, she looked away and continued walking.
Ella did not miss the subtle change in her reaction, "Have you thought about what you want to do after this?"
Ruby froze, "Not yet."
’’Do you love Max?" On their way out of the campus, Ella finally asked the question that she had been holding back on.
Before Ruby could say a word, Ella continued, "The Hill Family is very rigid in their customs. If you marry him, then they will expect you to only be his dutiful wife. Ruby, tell honestly, are you content with that...?"
"I..." Ruby’s eyes dimd.
Before Ella could say another word, a bouquet of flowers was shoved into her hands. And in the next mont, she was separated from Ruby.
Both Ella and Ruby looked up.
Ronan released Ruby’s hand and coughed once.
’’What are you doing here?" Ella frowned.
"I ca here to apologize."
’’These are... for ?" Ella looked at the bouquet of white carnations and white lilies.
’’Of course not, I got it for your ex-boyfriend,’’ Ronan said in an attempt to mock her but the mont he uttered those words, he felt stifled by the awkward air.
Crap!
Ruby stepped away from him.
Ella pinched the spot between her brows, "It seems like you have brought these for my funeral..."
’’You can choose to throw it away as well," Ronan glanced at her, "In any case, I am sorry for being insensitive yesterday."
Ella was curious whether Adrian forced him to co here with apology flowers but seeing the sincerity on his face, she decided to be the bigger person by not pointing out.
After Ronan left, Ella and Ruby also separated at the main entrance.
Ruby stepped past the gates and imdiately spotted the driver who was waiting on the other side of the road.
Just as she had taken a step forward, soone yanked her from behind.
One mont, she was still standing in the middle of the road and the next mont, she was pinned to a tree. A hand covered her mouth.
Ruby opened her mouth and ruthlessly bit onto the palm.
"Ssss!"
Hearing the familiar voice, she looked up.
"It’s ..." Ronan’s scrunched brows slowly loosened when she released her teeth.
Ronan pulled his hand back and massaged it gently.
"What do you want?"
"You didn’t reply to my last ssage."
"I didn’t feel the need to,’’ Ruby lifted her chin.
’’But you replied to my other ssages before."
"I was bored."
Ronan frowned, "Do you have no sense of morals?"
"We are strangers. I don’t need to check my morals around you."
"That must be the reason why you can ignore so confidently after taking my virginity, yeah?" Ronan lifted an eyebrow, "Miss Ambrose, you cannot act like a cat who drinks milk with her eyes closed and expects the world to not know about it."
Ruby’s lips twitched, "You..."
"In one way or another, you have to be responsible for your actions," Ronan clicked his tongue, "My apologies for behaving improperly earlier. I just wanted to give you... this."
Ruby glanced at the single sunflower placed in her hand. It was not much of a huge bouquet but it was one single flower, delicately and beautifully wrapped.
"I think it suits you,’’Ronan’s lips arched as he saw her examining the flower with a touch of curiosity on her face.
But in the next mont, the smile on his face dropped.
The flower landed on the ground and Ruby calmly stepped on it, "I think it doesn’t,’’ She walked past him.
Ronan looked at her retreating back. With a soft sigh, he leaned back on the tree.

The next few days, Ella attended the classes regularly, video calling Riri and Lala when she got ti but she did not hear from Adrian.
Like before, the man seed to have disappeared again. Considering his hectic work schedules, she didn’t text him.
But rather, she texted Ji Yan who told her that Adrian was unusually busy with things, which aligned with her previous guess.
Ella religiously posted on her social dia account using the pictures of herself that she had clicked beforehand.
For a few days, she hadn’t checked people’s responses at all but when she did, sothing caught her eye.
