John shifted uncomfortably in his cave, his large body pushing against the walls as he tried to rest. The cave, which had once been a perfect shelter, now felt cramped. His wings, which had expanded to an impressive span since his last evolution, were tucked tightly against his sides, leaving him little room to stretch. Every ti he moved, the rough stone scraped against his scales, reminding him that he had grown far too large for this place.
He let out a frustrated growl, the sound echoing through the cave. It had been his ho for months, ever since he had claid it after a fierce battle with a Tier 4 monster. Back then, it was more than enough for him—large enough to offer protection, small enough to keep hidden from other predators. But now, as a Tier 5 dragon, the space was beginning to feel more like a cage than a refuge.
John knew he had to move soon. His body wasn’t going to stop growing, and every day he felt the cave shrinking around him. Staying here would only limit his potential, and in a world full of dangerous creatures, limitations could be deadly.
He rose to his feet, his head brushing against the ceiling. "I need more space," he muttered, stretching his wings as much as the confined space would allow. "This cave served its purpose, but it’s ti to move on."
The next morning, John stood at the entrance of the cave, his massive form silhouetted against the rising sun. The forest stretched out before him, an endless expanse of towering trees and dark shadows. Sowhere out there was a place that would suit him—a larger, more secure ho. He just had to find it.
He leaped into the air, his powerful wings beating rhythmically as he soared above the treetops. The wind rushed past him, and for the first ti in a while, he felt free. The sky was his domain, and up here, there were no limits. He could fly as far as he needed, explore the vast forest below, and find a new territory that would accommodate his growing body.
As he flew, his mind began to drift. The cave had been a symbol of his early struggles, a reminder of how far he had co. Now that he was stronger, smarter, and more capable, the world felt different. It was no longer just about surviving—it was about thriving, about building sothing greater. He had been toying with the idea of expanding his territory, and moving to a bigger lair would be the first step in making that dream a reality.
Flying over the forest, John’s sharp eyes scanned the ground below, searching for any sign of a suitable location. A cave nestled in the side of a mountain would be ideal—sowhere high, where other creatures would think twice before challenging him. He needed a place where he could store food, hide from potential threats, and—eventually—rule.
But before he could continue his search, sothing caught his attention. Off in the distance, a strange movent below. At first, it seed like just another animal or monster going about its day, but as he focused, he noticed sothing unusual.
His instincts kicked in, a subtle tension forming in his chest. Whatever was down there, it wasn’t normal.
John circled around, lowering his altitude slightly as he tried to get a better look.
"What is that...?" he muttered to himself.
