If the Railgun represented kinetic destruction, then the Energy Cannon- the X-99 "Solaris" Photonic Disintegrator embodied pure annihilation!
The weapon was housed within a cylindrical armored assembly that was lined with glowing energy conduits and plasma containnt rings.
Its core contains a miniature reactor-linked energy compression chamber that’s capable of gathering enormous amounts of power before releasing it in a concentrated beam.
When activated, the weapon awakens like a living star!
Energy surges through transparent conduits running along the barrel while brilliant blue-white light spills from its cooling vents, while the containnt rings begin rotating at increasing speeds as the electromagnetic stabilizers struggle to control the growing power.
Leon’s first test run of the weapon was done under Ren Nora’s supervision in the wasteland beyond the walls of Iron Reef in a starless night.
That night, the wasteland itself reacted- dust lifting off the ground, tal objects vibrating even as static electricity crackled through the air itself!
And when the cannon fired, the sound was like a thousand overlapping thunders as a blinding lance of condensed energy erupted from the barrel, transforming night into day!
The beam moved across the wasteland with terrifying precision, carving through 3 different hills in rapid succession, vaporizing everything in its path!
Nothing stood where it passed.
Unlike explosive weapons, there was no dramatic impact point- the target simply ceased to exist.
The energy beam carried temperatures capable of reducing steel to liquid within monts and possessed enough force to bore through multiple layers of fortification before dissipating.
Even after firing, the air remained scarred.
Trails of glowing plasma lingered in the atmosphere, while the holes through the 3 hills glowed red-hot from the residual heat.
From the way Ren Nora’s eyes twitched after witnessing it, Leon knew that he finally got his hand on a weapon that was capable of reliably proving a threat against C Rank entities!
Against infantry, the Energy Cannon was excessive.
Against armored vehicles, it was devastating.
Against fortifications, it was catastrophic.
Against chs like the Bulwark MK.II Titan Fra, it was feared.
Its appearance in any battlefield ant one thing; sothing important was about to be turned into ash!
Alongside the Guass-X Kinetic Accelerator, adding the X-99 "Solaris" Photonic Disintegrator into his repertoire of weapons plus his already existing war machines gave Leon the qualifications to actually face the incoming Civil War.
In the hands of a Cannon Master, both weapons would only make the chanist a threat against C Rank entities, but with nothing to protect him against the ire of the caliber of C Rank entities, he was vulnerable.
But for Leon, it was different.
With both the Guass-X Kinetic Accelerator and the X-99 "Solaris" Photonic Disintegrator giving him the profane power to damage C Rank entities with either the Sentry-IV or the Bulwark MK powering them, plus the protection that the V-7 Kinetic-Ion Barrier gave him, he now had the ability to actually confront C Rank entities and survive.
In the history of Neo-Tokara, Leon was 100% sure that there had never been another D Rank chanist like him.
No D Rank chanist managed to gather all the Infinity Stones which were the Class Exclusive Blueprints like him.
And in extension no D Rank chanist in history was as powerful as him.
Heck, Leon was pretty sure now that there had never been a D Rank Ascended as powerful as him in history.
Despite all this power, this was still not all the projects that Leon had been working on for the past 20 days.
This was still just the tip of the iceberg.
...there was still the Korrelite-I "Vanguard" Auto-Turret!
The other weapons and war machines that Leon already explored answered offensive and defensive questions already, but the War Turret was Leon’s answer to a simple but even more important question:
How do you hold ground against an army?
All is fair in love and war.
In war, anything can happen. From the beginning, Leon was not naïve to think that he would always fight a fair battle.
If there was anything that the events of 5 months ago taught him, it was this.
The encounter against the assassin taught him that he would not always get to fight in his favored battlefield, and the encounter against General Sylvary Charr told him that he would not always get to fight in favorable battle matchups.
If he really intended to fight a Civil War and survive, he had to accept that there were situations in the nearest future where he would be isolated in battle, where he would be outnumbered and jumped.
In those situations, he needed a guarantee for survival and thankfully, there is a facet of the Cannon Master Class Specialization that had that covered and the answer is the Korrelite-I "Vanguard" Auto-Turret.
The construct stood at nearly 6 ters tall when fully deployed, a squat but imnsely powerful fortress of armor, weaponry, and battlefield automation.
Unlike the ch suit which marched forward or the Gun Drone which hunted through the skies, the War Turret was built for a Cannon Master. It was built to beco the center of a defensive line, a machine that transford any position into a fortress.
Afterall, for a Cannon Master to reliably snipe enemies from range, he needed a defensive fortress to fall back on when the going got tough.
The Turret’s lower section consist of a heavily armored deploynt base that is reinforced with hydraulic stabilizers. Upon activation, massive anchor spikes slam into the ground, locking the turret in place.
The stabilizers are capable of digging deep into concrete, soil, or even tal flooring, creating an immovable firing platform that’s capable of absorbing trendous recoil.
The primary weapon sits atop the rotating turret housing- a two-linked heavy autocannon assembly.
Each barrel is almost 2 ters long and fed by internal ammunition drums containing thousands of armor-piercing rounds.
Above the autocannons rests a missile interception array that’s composed of compact radar-guided launch cells.
The mont hostile rockets, artillery shells, drones, or missiles enters its engagent zone, the system responds automatically, sending interceptor missiles streaking into the sky to detonate threats before they can reach friendly forces.
The Turret’s armor is exceptionally thick, comprising layer upon layer of composite armor plating that protects the internal systems.
Just like he did with the Bulwark MK and the Sentry-IV, Leon modified the original blueprint, switching the Turret’s original energy shield with the far more formidable and sturdy V-7 Kinetic-Ion Barrier, making it an even fiercer monster.
The combination of 2 Class Exclusive Blueprints always creates monsters, and this one was no exception to that rule that Leon discovered.
Embedded throughout the chassis of the Turret are dozens of advanced targeting sensors that can connect directly to the Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV, another combination that made it even more formidable.
The Turret can originally identify threats kiloters away, but now, with the help of the stealth aircraft, it can identify threats from hundreds of kiloters away in any battlefield!
It also has sophisticated missile deploynt systems.
The War Turret can hold a position for days without human supervision; it’s integrated ADE reactors supplies and regenerates power continuously!
It also has an in-built ammunition fabrication system that can manufacture basic rounds from raw materials.
Even worse is the fact that multiple War Turrets can link together through a tactical network, becoming sothing far more dangerous than individual constructs in the process.
They beco an automated defense grid; a chanical army that never sleeps, panic, or retreats.
In the hands of a true Cannon Master, a single Turret changes everything.
rely imagining a Cannon Master safely hidden within the confines of the Turret while shooting outside at enemies with his X-99 "Solaris" Photonic Disintegrator filled Leon with goosebumps.
And now, this harrowing combination of war weapons was his to use.
Even crazier was the fact that not only can the Turret house and protect the Sentry-IV Autocannon Drone in active combat situations, it is also big enough to house and protect the Bulwark MK.II Titan Fra!
This ans that by combining the X-99 "Solaris" Photonic Disintegrator to the Sentry-IV and then holing up inside the Turret, Leon can effectively combine 3 Class Exclusive Constructs to devastating effect!
The re imagination of the combination filled him with excitent.
If Leon had this combination, he would have never had to wait for Ren Nora’s intervention just to be able to survive 5 months ago.
This combination made him an anomaly that was capable of hitting above his rank at the higher ranks!
This combination made him capable of standing his ground against a C Rank Ascended!
