From his days as an E Rank chanist, Leon had been agonizing about a proper battery that could et the energy needs of his increasingly complex chanic constructs.
All the way from when he constructed his first Sword Drones.
As a D Rank chanist, this obsession reduced as by taking loans from the Geneforge Clans then, he was able to afford higher-caliber cell batteries.
Since then, he didn’t upgrade a second ti since the Freegrid Collective’s cell batteries were more or less of the sa quality as the ones being used by the Gene Army in the South.
But now, he finally upgraded again.
From his previous battery cell, Leon upgraded to the Mark-IV Flux Cell Battery, another Technician Class Specialization Exclusive Blueprint.
Each Mark-IV Flux Cell Battery is powerful enough to fuel a Major City!
It is not a coincidence that Ren Nora allocated Leon a budget of 100 million Neo Credits for his projects, his projects were just that high-level this ti.
Every single Mark-IV Flux Cell Battery was created from an ocean of money, and this is why Leon was able to afford and create only 2 of them.
1 of them now powered the Zephyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV, increasing its longevity to a whole different level.
The stealth aircraft was now capable of surviving an entire year alone in the air without an imdiate need for refueling!
This gave Leon so many options.
For the first ti in his life, he got the option to try exploring the entirety of Neo-Tokara, the 99% of the world that was now devoured by the Endless Ocean.
Maybe this way, he would be able to see relics to history before Genesis, any clues to his past. He would also be able to understand the geography of the world better.
This also gave him an option to fly directly above the Abyssal Scar to the North any ti he wanted to the territory of the Synth Order.
Apart from the overpowered battery cell, Leon also constructed the Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix.
It was his very first energy matrix.
Unlike what he expected initially when he first heard of them in Leviathan Quay, energy matrix are not built like normal energy shields.
They use similar technology, but they’re vastly different.
A single Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix comprises 10 panels, and each panel is worth 20 million Neo Credits!
This was the only project that Leon didn’t bother Ren Nora with, he funded his very first energy matrix himself.
And there was a reason for it.
He spent 200 million Neo Credits just for the energy matrix, but he already made a deal with Colonel Alphonse and the Colonel agreed to purchase his very first energy matrix for a whopping sum of 500 million Neo Credits!
The Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix was the peak of Leon’s comrcial chanist career so far.
Each panel of the Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix can erect a shield encompassing approximately 100 square kiloters.
A complete Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix with 10 panels can cover an area of approximately 1000 square kiloters!
This was already bigger than most Major Cities in the world.
With this single blueprint, Leon knew that he was now a bigshot in the world of Ascended. Afterall, there were very few D Rank chanist Ascended in the world, and there were fewer chanist Technicians in the world outside the Synth Order.
And there were even fewer chanist Technicians in the world who could actually create functioning energy matrices.
But Leon managed to create one in 3 weeks despite also being engaged in other major chanist projects!
Of course, the sacrifice was that he now felt like a waking corpse, but it was all worth it in the end.
As for the reason why Ren Nora never thought of stealing these blueprints before; it is because in the short history of the Freegrid Collective, they were yet to create a single D Rank chanist.
Leon’s ergence now provided an entirely different advantage to the faction that was slowly getting ready for a massive Civil War with the Omnicore Federation.
In all of the Freegrid Collective, only Iron Reef had an active energy matrix. But with Leon’s sudden grasp over the Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix, all 3 cities of the faction were about to beco properly protected.
This is why Colonel Alphonse willingly accepted the business offer.
Leon was now both the main chanist liaison of the Freegrid Collective, and also a secret chanist contractor for the Geneforge Clans.
Upon all this though, there was still one last blueprint and construct that was unaccounted for.
...the Titan-Class 001 Siege Core.
But there was no Siege Core within the confines of this chanist workshop, this is because the workshop simply wasn’t big enough to house one.
In the past 3 weeks, apart from the Oculus-9 Gridlock Intercept Matrix, the other construct that took Leon’s ti the most was the Titan-Class 001 Siege Core.
And in the past 3 weeks, the Siege Core is the only reason why Leon regularly left the workshop and then the city, being escorted by Ren Nora as they snuck out deep into the wasteland where the Siege Core is hidden.
Unlike chanist Technicians and Warmachine Specialists, Cannon Masters have 4 Class Exclusive Blueprints instead of 3.
And unlike their 2 brothers, of their 4 Class Exclusive Blueprints, Cannon Masters have one that is outright clear as their Class Specialization’s main blueprint and that blueprint is the Titan-Class 001 Siege Core.
The Titan-Class 001 Siege Core is the core and heartbeat of the Cannon Master chanist Class Specialization.
It was their one true unique elent, and even their signature ability- Orbital Designator is tied to it.
It is the one construct that pushes them to the pinnacle of D Rank Class Specializations alongside Pulse Brawlers as one of the most destructive Class Specializations.
Leon didn’t leave imdiately to check it out; he was tired.
He left the basent properly for the first ti, visited Tyla at the hotel and let her pamper him to sleep.
Leon had a much-needed rest to recover, then early in the morning the next day, he snuck out alongside Ren Nora to go see his Siege Core.
