An Quan drove the carriage quickly to the foot of the mountain.
This ti, they didn’t dare to blatantly leave the carriage at the foot of the mountain, fearing it would be discovered, especially by the governnt office.
So they drove the carriage a little further in, to a place out of sight from the road.
Although it was on the mountain, a small path had been trodden around the periter by people, so they could drive the carriage a bit further up, though not very far.
After settling the carriage, the three of them got off. Since they didn’t bring much, they let the little lamb carry it. Yang Ming carried the child, An Quan led the little lamb, and Xiaoxiao traveled lightly, following along.
In this way, they headed up the mountain. Initially, they were on the outskirts, where there weren’t many beasts. Even if they encountered any, they were small animals that posed no threat, so they traveled fairly safely.
As they continued, they entered the deep mountain area. In the deep mountains, the atmosphere felt different, and it seed that the surrounding sounds were much quieter than on the outskirts.
The group beca more vigilant, rembering the dangerous encounters they had before.
After walking a short distance, they suddenly heard so sounds. The sounds continued as they walked and stopped when they stopped.
It seed like an echo, but Xiaoxiao knew clearly that it wasn’t an echo; sothing was following them.
In such a deep mountain, this situation was indeed very creepy.
Yang Ming, leading the way, suddenly stretched out his hand, signaling everyone to stop. He then gestured for silence.
He handed the child to Xiaoxiao and took out a dagger from his body, preparing for a fight.
An Quan, also ard, drew his knife, preparing for combat as well.
In the tense atmosphere, a woman’s scream suddenly pierced the air, "Ah!"
A woman then jumped out from behind a thick tree.
Yang Ming quickly shielded his wife behind him, preparing to throw a knife, but in the next second, he was stunned.
Isn’t this An’an? How did An’an follow us?
An Quan also recognized An’an, his face twisted in anger, and he shouted, "An’an!"
But An’an wasn’t concerned about any of that now; she was overco with fear, running toward An Quan and shouting, "Big brother, there’s sothing, there’s sothing."
Everyone looked in the direction An’an pointed, only to see a little white rabbit hopping away.
Everyone, including An’an, felt like crows flew past overhead.
An’an wanted to join them on the mountain journey, but she knew they wouldn’t agree, so she set off early in the morning, waiting at the foot of the mountain to follow them, though she didn’t expect to be discovered.
Frightened, she hid behind a thick tree, not daring to co out.
But suddenly, she felt sothing touch her foot, scread in fear, and ran out, revealing herself, only to find it was a gentle little white rabbit.
Having been worried just a mont ago, An Quan now angrily reprimanded An’an, "An’an, what’s wrong with you? How dangerous is this? Do you know we almost mistook you for a beast and were about to throw knives at you."
An’an hung her head and apologized, feeling very wronged, "I’m sorry, I wanted to co, afraid you wouldn’t let ."
"And so you ca secretly like this? Huh? How old are you now? Why are you so reckless?" This was the first ti An Quan had spoken to his sister like this; he was truly scared for her safety.
