Xiaoxiao expected they would ask, since even family mbers were so curious, not to ntion people outside, "Her family owns a lot of land, and we’re thinking about what to plant next year. Corn isn’t worth much, so we’re considering planting sothing more valuable."
"Can she decide on that land?"
"Yes, she can decide."
She could more than just decide; that land was intended as Li Chuntao’s dowry, but unfortunately, it wasn’t used.
This was just a casual excuse she gave to Li Chuntao, but thinking about it now, it actually seems feasible. If Li Chuntao’s land is only used to plant corn, it would be a waste.
