“If you don’t believe then nothing is going to change that. Now get back to work. My brother-in-law is coming back tomorrow, so we can ask Qin Xue when she’ll be leaving. Shouldn’t you go check in on your mistress, see how her preparations are going?” Xue Ling noted that Qing Teng had been helping here for three days straight, but they hadn’t heard anything from Nangong Beiying’s side, nor had Qing Teng suggested going to check on her.
Xue Ling had no words for her, was it her careless nature or sothing else? Didn’t Qing Teng say it was urgent on that end? And yet she idled around here, passing ti.

“You make a good point, I won’t co by tomorrow. I’ll check on my mistress’ situation.” Upon hearing Xue Ling’s reasonable argunt, Qing Teng decided to go have a look. That way, once the ti was decided upon, she could arrange her future tasks accordingly.
“Yes, Qin Xue will be fine. I am here, so nothing will go wrong.” What Xue Ling wanted to say was, weren’t things fine before Qing Teng arrived? And what could possibly change now?
“That’s not right, I’m now her bodyguard. I can’t leave her side.” Upon hearing this, Qing Teng imdiately objected. After all, she worked for her mistress; how could she bear not to stay by her side?
“Big sister, do you know what Qin Xue hates the most? You following her around all the ti. How can she spend quality ti alone with her husband if you’re always there? Do you want Qin Xue to kick you out?” Xue Ling really wanted to take a look inside Qing Teng’s brain to see how it was structured.
Even her master wouldn’t allow her around all the ti. If Qing Teng dared to follow Qin Xue around constantly, Xue Ling would have a pretty good idea of what the master would do.
“But what about the mistress’s safety…” Qing Teng knew Xue Ling was making sense, but what about Qin Xue then?
“What era do you think we live in? Nothing will happen. Besides, the mistress you see is not who she appears to be. Honestly, you wouldn’t stand a chance against her in a fight, so you’d better relax. It would be more helpful if you made so extra dicine for her instead. If she sells it and makes money, she might even thank you.” Xue Ling chuckled.
She was kidding around. If her master constantly had soone like Qing Teng by her side, how could she get into the space? And how could she and the little master go in to practice martial arts together?
“Are you sure nothing bad will happen?” Qing Teng asked Xue Ling, uncertain. She rembered tis when things were not so peaceful and could be hazardous.
If Xue Ling knew how Qing Teng felt, she would roll her eyes at her. Who do you think you’re ssing with? The master keeps to the straight and narrow, unlike you on the shady side. But Xue Ling and Qing Teng didn’t have any telepathic connection, so she didn’t know what Qing Teng was thinking.
“Fang Xiu, how does having duck for dinner sound?” Qin Xue had a craving for ginger duck.
“Sure, whatever you guys want to eat, just buy the ingredients for it.” Fang Xiu had no particular preference.
