Chapter 1741: Chapter 1735: Living a Failure

“Mom and Dad, you’re here! Co in and have a seat.” Nangong Shulan heard her daughter’s greeting and ca out to welco her in-laws.

“Alright, we’ll go inside and sit.” Mrs. Qin didn’t know what else to say; everyone’s just too enthusiastic.

“Grandpa, Grandma (Great-grandpa, Great-grandma), hello.” The people inside the house saw the elderly couple arrive and quickly greeted them.

“Hello, hello to all of you.” Mr. Qin smiled warmly as he looked around at the house full of people. Such good kids, wonderful!

“Grandpa, as long as you’re well, we’re all doing well.” Qin Xue carried two cups of tea in and placed them on the table, smiling as she responded.

“Mhm, exactly! Don’t they say that having an elder at ho is like having a treasure? You Qins are lucky, you’ve got two treasures.” Nangong Beiying chid in with a laugh.

“Haha.” In that mont, the Qins were filled with laughter and cheer, which only made Qin Su’e, standing outside, twist her face in resentnt.

“Su’E, what are you doing here?” Aunt Qin Five happened to see Qin Su’e standing outside the Qins’ door as she passed by, puzzled as to why a lunatic like her would show up here.

“Food.” Qin Su’e hadn’t expected anyone to show up at this ti—wasn’t everyone supposed to be off working? But being seen didn’t faze her in the slightest.

“Ah, poor thing. Go back ho. There’s no food here for you to eat.” Aunt Qin Five sighed helplessly. This Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin—they truly went too far. The way they treated their daughter versus their son couldn’t have been more different.

But, this was ultimately soone else’s family business. She was just an outsider; it wouldn’t be appropriate to ddle too much.

“Food. I want food.” Qin Su’e didn’t say anything else, stubbornly repeating the sa words.

“Go ho. Otherwise, when your mom can’t find you, she’ll hit you again.” Aunt Qin Five left her with these parting words before walking away. She despised Mr. Qin and Mrs. Qin deeply; it was no wonder their daughter had ended up in this state. Then again, no matter the circumstances, they shouldn’t have been so neglectful.

Aunt Qin Five pitied Qin Su’e, but she wasn’t a Bodhisattva. She couldn’t possibly take care of everyone. Besides, it was evident that Qin E wasn’t a good person—pitiful, yes, but she couldn’t be brought ho. If her own parents didn’t care, how could an outsider? Such involvent would only disrupt her own peaceful household, and that wouldn’t be worth it.

After Aunt Qin Five left, Qin Su’e curled her lips. Even with all those supposedly kind words, ultimately no one cared about her, so what was the point? Anyone could talk the talk, but action was what truly mattered.

What Qin Su’e hadn’t anticipated was that Qin Xue had just stepped outside and overheard their conversation. Qin Xue thought Aunt Qin Five was just wasting her pity—soone like Qin Su’e didn’t deserve sympathy. She was rotten to the core, plain and simple.

So, Qin Su’e wasn’t going to confront her directly; instead, she was lingering outside. But why wouldn’t she co in? Qin Xue couldn’t make sense of it.

Qin Xue brought so snacks into the kitchen, then headed out the door. She wanted to see what Qin Su’e was up to.

As Qin Xue walked out, she caught Qin Su’e’s hateful glare. Qin Xue didn’t say a word; instead, she strolled down toward the foot of the hill. Initially, she had planned to head to the river, but she reconsidered, knowing the flowing water there still posed so danger, so she decided against it.

Qin Su’e hadn’t expected Qin Xue to suddenly step out, so she froze for a mont when she saw her. But when Qin Xue didn’t utter a single word and simply walked away, Qin Su’e hesitated briefly before picking up her pace to follow—not too closely but not too far behind.

This was the perfect opportunity. Qin Su’e felt as though the heavens were helping her, and she couldn’t afford to let this chance slip away.

“Qin Su’e, do you think your life is a complete failure? To the point where you resort to this kind of behavior just to avoid being kicked out by your family?” Qin Xue stopped as soon as she reached a secluded hillside, then turned around, addressing Qin Su’e, who was still maintaining so distance.
