“Xuexue, I understand what you an, but I really don’t want to get married right now. At least for now, I have no feelings for that man. I’ve ntioned this before; if we’re really ant to be together, it’ll happen naturally. You don’t have to worry about it, okay?” Qing Zhu didn’t bla Qin Xue for being nosy; she knew Qin Xue just wanted her to be happy.
Among the three of them, in their past lives, they’d all led rather joyless days without much love. But having t each other, they beca the best of friends, the best of sisters, and shared everything with one another.
They hadn’t expected that a series of events would lead them here and change the courses of their lives so dramatically. Now, they were all mothers, and Qin Xue had found her own happiness. Qing Zhu was genuinely happy for her, but that didn’t an she had to marry just because she had a child, right?
Qing Zhu believed that even when her daughter grew up, she would understand her reasons as a mother.
However, Qin Xue didn’t want Qing Zhu to brush off the matter so casually, yet she wasn’t sure how to discuss it with her.
“Alright, do as you please. I was just saying my piece. After all, it’s your life, and as your sister, of course, I support you.” Qin Xue felt helpless. Previously, she had wanted Nangong Beiying to be with Xiao Qi, but Beiying’s attitude was the sa, making Qin Xue wonder if she was being too overbearing, ignoring their wishes.
At this point, Qin Xue began reflecting on herself. What she thought was good might not be the sa for Nangong Beiying and Qing Zhu. Was she being too domineering in trying to make them accept her suggestions?
“Xuexue, what are you thinking about? Are you eating here or going back ho to eat?” Qing Zhu called out to the pensive Qin Xue.
“I’ll eat at ho. The kids are all there, and Xue Ling can’t manage everything alone, nor is there anyone to cook for them,” Qin Xue replied to Qing Zhu without thinking much.
“I made so dumplings for them when I left, so if they’re hungry, they can cook them,” Qing Zhu said. After Qin Xue and the others had gone, she decided to make dumplings for them to avoid them being hungry with nothing to eat.
“You’re always so considerate. But since there’s no fridge, we can’t store too many, so I definitely can’t stay here for dinner. I’ll go back and cook dumplings to eat with the kids,” Qin Xue thought. Once a fridge is available, she would definitely buy one; otherwise, it would be a sha if things spoiled.
“True enough, alright then, take care on your way back,” Qing Zhu didn’t insist she stay. They knew each other so well that being casual with each other was just fine.
“By the way, where’s Dongfang Li?” Qin Xue had been talking with Qing Zhu for a while but hadn’t seen her.
“She took her child out to familiarize themselves with the place. They’ve been out for a while and should be back soon.” Qing Zhu, due to her old habits, would morize the route just by passing through a place, so there was no need for her to consciously rember it again.
But Dongfang Li was different, so when she said she wanted to go out, Qing Zhu didn’t say anything, just reminded them to be careful not to trip.
“What were you talking about when I ca back?” Dongfang Li, holding her son Nannan’s hand, had just co upstairs and heard Qing Zhu and the others talking, though she didn’t catch the details.
“We were talking about you coming back soon.” Qing Zhu didn’t expect it; as soon as they ntioned her, she arrived. Luckily, they weren’t saying anything bad, or it would have been awkward if she’d caught them.
