Chapter 2015: Chapter 2009: Making a Mountain Out of a Molehill
“Sister-in-law, who exactly did you run into? It sounds a bit strange.” Wen Qing got more confused as he listened.
“I don’t know who she was either. When she first saw , her expression lit up like she was really aggrieved, but I didn’t do anything, did I? That’s what I find funny. If I really had done sothing, it would be another matter, but all I did was sit at Xiao Qi’s desk and look at a report, and now it’s like I committed so unforgivable act.” Qin Xue was bored with nothing to do, so she sat at Xiao Qi’s desk, wanting to see if the boss chair now was any different from those in the future. And so, this scene unfolded.
“Sister-in-law, it’s not just others; even I would be shocked.” Wen Qing imagined the scene after hearing what Qin Xue said, and he filled in so other scenarios in his mind.
“You’re making a fuss over nothing.” Qin Xue said, speechless.
“Were you stopped at the secretary’s office?” Wen Qing asked.
“Yeah.” Qin Xue took a sip of coffee and nodded.
“So, you were stopped, then Xiao Qi went out to get you, right? After that, Xiao Qi and I left, but you sat in his chair. How do you think others would perceive that situation?” Wen Qing thought Qin Xue wasn’t usually soone so oblivious, so why couldn’t she figure this out?
“I know what you an. Listening to you, I recall who that woman was. She was the one who stopped outside, and when she ca in and saw sitting in the boss’s chair, she either thought I was so big shot or thought I was fearless and worried I would implicate her. That’s why she was scared, right?” Qin Xue thought about that person’s appearance. Wasn’t she the one who said Qin Xue couldn’t see Xiao Qi without an appointnt? But really, was that necessary? She hadn’t taken it to heart at all.
“Smart, that’s exactly it.” Wen Qing and Xiao Qi nodded together.
“But even if that’s the case, it’s no big deal, is it? You guys brought in; even if you’re not here, I wouldn’t be able to do anything, right? I have zero interest in knowing your secrets.” If Qin Xue really wanted to beco a company boss, she wouldn’t have turned down Xiao Qi’s proposal.
“The problem is, we know that, but others don’t, right? So just be more understanding and don’t scare people off. I still need them to help work.” Xiao Qi didn’t expect Qin Xue to be so cheeky; now he wondered if Nangong Beiying would do the sa.
Thinking of Nangong Beiying, Xiao Qi lost the mood to work. That damned woman had been gone for so many days without a word. What was she thinking?
Feeling irritable, Xiao Qi really didn’t want to work anymore. He thought about going out to drink, but he was always very disciplined and knew he shouldn’t, so he tried to adjust his mood and picked up his pen to keep signing nas. Seeing there were several docunts needing his signature to proceed, he resigned himself to continue working hard.
“Xiao Qi, since that woman hasn’t shown up, I’m heading back. There’s nothing for to do here, so I won’t disturb your work.” Qin Xue decided to change her plans since the person she had arranged to et hadn’t shown up.
“Alright, be careful on your way back.” Xiao Qi understood what Qin Xue ant. She had ntioned yesterday that if plans changed, she’d do sothing else.
When he first heard Qin Xue’s words, he was a bit puzzled, but then he rembered that she knew Su Yun, so he just let her be.
