Ye Li looked at the two people across from him. Fortunately, when they said two, they really ant two, otherwise he would have acted too rashly. He originally wanted to make a good impression but almost ended up doing the opposite. That was a close call.
"Brother Ye Li, you’re here too. Are you also going to the Imperial Capital?" Just as they were talking, Qin Lei returned with so purchases.
"Hello, Uncle Qin. Yes, I’m going ho. Shushu is my cousin, and we’re together." Ye Li hadn’t expected Qin Lei to co too. Were they really going to travel together? What about his ticket? Would he have to buy another one? Ye Li felt like crying; why did this have to happen to him?
If this is how things turned out, all the good impressions he made earlier were instantly shattered, weren’t they?
"Oh, I see. I heard a bit about it last ti but didn’t expect you’d be going to the Imperial Capital together. It’s a good thing you have each other for company. Xiao Yu, keep an eye on Lele. They’re both classmates of little Le, so help look after them." Qin Lei had heard they were relatives last ti, but he didn’t know what kind of relatives.
Seeing them heading there together, he asked his son to help take care of them. They’re all classmates, so helping each other is the right thing to do.
"Dad, I got it. Take care of yourself when you go back." Qin Yu nodded in agreent.
Ye Li, listening to them talk from the side, quietly breathed a sigh of relief. It was good they weren’t traveling together, or he seriously would have cried.
"Okay, I’ll see you onto the bus and then head back." Qin Lei noted that they had quite a bit of luggage. If he didn’t see them onto the bus, it would be hard to manage. Once everything was settled, he’d feel more at ease going ho.
"Sounds good." Qin Yu didn’t refuse. If their father wasn’t at ease unless he saw them onto the bus, then he should let him do just that.
While they waited, the bus finally arrived. When the ticket inspector called for boarding, there was a long line.
After Qin Lei saw them onto the bus, he slowly walked back. Now only two people were left at ho. Soon, no one would be ho, and who knew when the family would have another lively gathering together.
Qin Lei felt lancholic, but he didn’t say anything to make the children worry.
So as he looked at the surrounding scenery, he thought, just fly, as long as you’re doing well.
"Jiale, this is for you." Shortly after boarding, Ye Zishu took out so snacks, planning to eat while reading. He offered a portion to Qin Yu and his siblings, while keeping one for themselves.
"Thanks." Qin Yu hadn’t spoken yet when Qin Jiale took it.
"No need to be polite. We’ve eaten plenty of your food usually. You’re the one who taught to make this. It’s okay if it doesn’t taste great." When Ye Zishu and a few friends visited Jiale’s ho, she had taught them so of her culinary skills. However, she knew only a few dishes and taught them only what she was familiar with.
"Haha, it won’t be bad." Qin Jiale didn’t want to cook herself anyway, so now that there was sothing to eat, how could she be picky?
"Brother, do you want so?" Qin Jiale placed the snacks in front of her brother.
"No, you eat it yourself." Qin Xue looked at the sweets before him. He wasn’t much into sweets; he preferred spicy food.
"Alright, I’ll eat it myself then. You read your book. This is sothing sis brought back for last ti, and there are a few problems in it that I can’t solve. Can you take a look and see how they should be done?" Qin Jiale, hearing her brother say he didn’t want any, didn’t insist. Being family, she knew Qin Yu’s tastes well.
"Sure, let take a look." Qin Yu didn’t say much but took the book his sister handed him and started looking at it. anwhile, on the other side, Ye Li and Ye Zishu were eating snacks and looking at the scenery outside, their thoughts wandering far away.
