Chapter 920: Chapter 914: Falling ill_1
The very next day, when Qin Xue woke up, she found her throat extrely dry and sore, realizing she had caught a cold. She rembered Chu Molin suggesting she take dication last night, but did she end up taking it?
Unable to recall, Qin Xue shook her slightly aching head, wore her shoes, got down from the bed and opened the door to step outside. She was surprised by the brightness of the day outside and noticed that everyone else had already started their routine chores, leaving her as the only person who had been sleeping until now.
“Sister-in-law, you’re up,” Chu Xiaoqiao spotted Qin Xue as she stepped out of the kitchen.
“Qin Xue, how are you feeling? Are you okay?” Upon hearing Chu Xiaoqiao’s voice, An Hao looked towards Qin Xue’s room and asked her.
“It’s nothing serious, just a cold. A dose of cold dicine should sort it out. Why are all of you up so early though?” Qin Xue observed everyone engaged in their tasks, even Fang Xiu assisting with the cooking, while Jingtao sat on a small stool keeping the Yu Ze brothers company.
“It’s not early anymore, we’ve all had breakfast. Yours is warming in the pot, let serve it for you,” said Chu Xiaoqiao. The porridge was cooked and kept warm by her older brother for her sister-in-law to enjoy upon waking up.

Chu Xiaoqiao admired the bond between her brother and sister-in-law, knowing well that they both had put great effort into their relationship. Therefore, seeing their married life flourish made her nothing but happy.
“Alright, thanks, Xiaoqiao.” It was the first ti Qin Xue had referred to Chu Xiaoqiao by this title. She usually just called her Xiaoqiao but the sudden change in formality made Chu Xiaoqiao feel uneasy.
“Sister-in-law, please continue calling Xiaoqiao as before,” Chu Xiaoqiao really wasn’t accustod to Qin Xue changing the way she addressed her.
“That’s okay, go ahead. I’m going to freshen up.” Qin Xue herself had only changed the way she referred to Chu Xiaoqiao on a whim and wasn’t comfortable with the change either.
“Where’s Chu Molin?” Qin Xue was enjoying the porridge and pickled cucumbers, but noticed that one particular man who was supposed to be resting at ho was absent.
“He went to find Xiao Qi. He said he had to return a telegram to soone.” An Hao knew that Fang Xiu’s breakdown had sothing to do with her husband, but she wasn’t aware of the specifics, so she didn’t ntion any nas.
“Oh,” Qin Xue understood who the ‘soone’ An Hao referred to was, from the tone of her voice.
“Taotao, which of the younger brothers do you prefer?” Qin Xue finished her al and was looking at the busy won around her. She felt so weak that she didn’t offer to help but, instead, sat next to Jingtao, keeping him and the two kids company.
“Him,” Jingtao pointed at one of the ones in the crib without even thinking after hearing Qin Xue’s question.
“So, you prefer your older brother. Can you tell Auntie why you prefer your older brother over the younger one?” Qin Xue followed his finger pointing at Yu Ze and turned to ask him.
“Doesn’t cry,” Jingtao frowned and mumbled these words after a mont.
“Pfft, Taotao, you’re a child too, you know. Which child doesn’t cry?” Qin Xue laughed at his response.
“Taotao doesn’t cry, he doesn’t cry, this one cries,” Jingtao stuttered his words out.
“So you only like people who don’t cry? What if he cries too, will you still like him?” Qin Xue playfully asked Jingtao. She thought Jingtao was too sensible for a one-year-old, unlike other children his age.
“No,” Jingtao took quite a while to answer.
“Babies, did you hear that? If you want your brother to play with you, you have to behave and not cry. Otherwise, nobody will want to play with you, understand?” After hearing Jingtao’s response, Qin Xue turned to the two kids looking at her with round eyes and told them.
