“Isn’t everything alright now?” After hearing his daughter’s comnt, Qin Lei realized they hadn’t thought it through. As their daughter said, they didn’t want their children to worry, but the children would worry anyway if they found out.

“Alright, why are you worrying so much all of a sudden?” Nangong Shulan replied to her daughter’s comnt.
“If you don’t keep us in the dark, I wouldn’t worry. You’ve never done business before, and there’s no one backing you up here. It’s a good thing everything turned out well.” Chu Molin joined in when he saw his wife being admonished. They didn’t know who had helped them, but Chu Molin thought of one person – Qin Lang. During their ti in the Imperial Capital, Qin Lang had ntioned he would look into so matters when he travelled for work. Chu Molin figured he ant he wanted to investigate his wife’s family background.
In his opinion, there was no point in looking into it. The family had been good to them and didn’t mistreat them. It didn’t seem necessary to him, but it was important to Qin Lang because Qin Xue and her siblings might be his family. That’s why Chu Molin didn’t stop Qin Lang when he started his investigation.

His younger brother had always been stronger than him. Being the eldest, most of their parents’ attention had always been on him.
He didn’t expect that his younger brother would still solve his problems on his own, without telling him or the rest of the family a thing.
“What did I do wrong? The incident has passed, can’t we just drop it? From now on, if anything happens, we’ll talk it out and solve it together, okay?” Qin Lei felt as though he had committed a grave cri. He found it all so frustrating. He had just wanted to prevent them from worrying. How had that beco his fault?
