"Welco, Mr. Han, to the Mandarin Oriental!"
Two etiquette attendants dressed in form-fitting qipao bowed in unison, then stood silently to one side.
It was evident that the Mandarin Oriental placed great importance on this private exhibition. The two young won, post-makeup, both scored over 90 points. They had pretty faces, great figures, and were tall—definitely not your typical hotel receptionists.
Han Lie's gaze swept over their faces. He felt nothing himself, but one of the young won was eyeing him with shining eyes. When their gazes t, she hurriedly lowered her head.

Han Lie found it amusing and was in good spirits. Of course, this wasn't due to his looks, but rather the power of money. Anyone would be curious about receiving such grand treatnt from the Mandarin Oriental.
Generally speaking, so-called top-tier celebrities didn't qualify. While they might stay in hotels year-round, their spending levels weren't necessarily high. Only the truly top-tier wealthy would warrant the personal attention of the hotel's general manager.
After exchanging pleasantries with Han Lie, Lu Yisi imdiately led him into the lobby, approaching several people waiting by an entrance.
"Mr. Han, Eric, the general manager of the Mandarin Oriental, is an old friend of mine. When he heard you were coming, he specifically asked to introduce you..."
Eric was, in fact, from Hong Kong Island. He wasn't very tall, was sharply dressed in a suit, and wore a warm smile.
After a simple handshake and a few pleasantries, he handed over his business card with both hands. Han Lie glanced at it and casually passed it to his assistant, Liang Wu, who was always by his side.
He chuckled. "Sorry, I haven't had business cards printed yet."
Truthfully, Han Lie did have business cards. After Liang Wu had started, she had 100 exceptionally expensive cards made for him. He just wasn't inclined to hand them out indiscriminately.
The general manager of the Mandarin Oriental—to claim his social status wasn't high or his connections weren't extensive would be pure nonsense. But the question remained: in what way could he possibly help Han Lie? This type of connection was entirely superficial. Han Lie could interact with him, but there was no need to cultivate a deeper relationship.
"No problem, I understand," Eric said, his smile still warm. He turned and gestured graciously. "Mr. Han, if you please!"
In the vast hotel lobby, the group moved with Han Lie at the center, like a moon escorted by stars. So guests checking in cast curious glances their way.
The etiquette attendants walked at the very front, and security had already called an elevator.
As they passed through the lounge area, sothing unexpected happened—
A very fashionably dressed young woman suddenly raised her phone towards Han Lie.
Is she taking a picture of ? Why?
Han Lie frowned but didn't speak. Instead, he shot Eric a aningful glance.
Eric looked very uncomfortable. Having such an incident occur in his own hotel was indeed quite embarrassing. However, Eric had no solution. No rule prohibited guests from taking photos in the hotel lobby. Even though she had photographed him, it wasn't as if he were so notoriously impulsive big shot; he couldn't just go up and slap her, could he?

Han Lie paid no mind to how Eric handled it and continued walking in silence. In fact, more than one or two people in the lounge area were sneaking glances at him, and others were also taking pictures; it was too much to bother with.
Han Lie's attitude slightly reassured Eric.
Once they were inside the elevator and alone, Han Lie suddenly went on the offensive, directing his query at Lu Yisi and his Cartier team. "Mr. Lu, has the news about your company hosting an exhibition leaked?"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Han," Lu Yisi apologized before explaining. "Regarding the private gemstone exhibition we're hosting for you, I assure you, absolutely none of your personal information has been leaked. I only notified a few other VVIP clients, intending to hold a very small, exclusive salon after you've made your selections. If this girl taking photos has any connection to Cartier, I am willing to take full responsibility."

However, his attitude was good, so Han Lie nodded and didn't press the issue further.
A warning is just a warning. No need to act like I'm their actual father.
Soon, the group exited the elevator. Just as they were about to head towards the exhibition hall, another group ca bustling over from the corridor. Leading them were four or five n in black suits, surrounding a tall woman wearing sunglasses.
The two groups t in the middle of the small hall, looking each other up and down.
The woman spoke first, addressing Eric. "Manager Zhai, what's going on here?"
Eric recognized her at once. He stopped and replied courteously, "Ah, Miss Fan... what brings you downstairs?"
The woman raised a hand, removed her sunglasses, and said with a smile, "My assistant ntioned there seed to be so sort of exhibition downstairs. I happened to be free, so I thought I'd co down and see the excitent."
What a load of crap!
Almost everyone present knew the woman was spouting utter nonsense. Including herself. But she didn't seem the least bit awkward. Instead, she naturally turned her gaze to Han Lie, her expression shifting to one of slight surprise and puzzlent.
