In the endless desert, there was no spiritual energy, the heat was intense, and the solar essence was abundant.

How could there be walking corpses deep in the desert?

Could it be that the unique environnt of Black Stone Mountain produced these walking corpses?

Deep beneath Black Stone Mountain, there was indeed so yin energy, but it wasn't particularly strong.

Logically, this would make it difficult for a walking corpse to reach the level of a second- stage copper corpse.

Could it be that deeper within the passage, there was a place with a highly concentrated yin energy?

Song Wen pondered this silently.

The lizardman, the ghost, and the man continued deeper.

Song Wen was extrely cautious along the way, yet the underground passage was eerily silent, with no disturbances at all.

After traveling over ten miles, a vast underground cavern appeared before them.

Concerned about exposing his position, Song Wen didn't dare to cast a fireball spell to illuminate the cave. His spiritual sense was severely suppressed, making it impossible to discern the details of the cavern.

But he had a feeling that this cavern was larger than expected.

It gave an illusion of having no boundaries on all sides and no ceiling above.

Vaguely visible in the center of the cave was a towering peak.

Standing at the cave's entrance, Song Wen felt a sudden surge of unease.

It seed as if an imnse danger was lurking in the depths of the cave, and entering it would pose a life-and-death threat.

The female lizardman standing at the entrance of the passage also looked terrified.

If it weren't for the Ghost King holding a giant sword against its back, it would have turned and fled long ago.

Song Wen thought for a mont and then looked at the Ghost King.

Receiving Song Wen's command, the Ghost King kicked the lizardman on the back.

The lizardman was kicked forward, panicking and letting out a few frantic yelps.

The piercing cries echoed through the silent underground, making them even more jarring.

"Thud."

The lizardman hit the ground, tumbling like a rolling gourd.

Realizing how loud its cries were, it quickly fell silent.

The lizardman got up from the ground and looked back at Song Wen at the entrance with resentnt in its eyes.

It glanced back and forth between Song Wen and the Ghost King multiple tis.

Though not particularly intelligent, it knew that Song Wen would not allow it to return to the passage.

The female lizardman turned and cautiously headed toward the center of the cavern.

Its figure soon disappeared into the darkness, beyond Song Wen's perception.

Seeing that the lizardman didn't seem to encounter any danger, Song Wen stepped into the

cavern.

Suddenly,

Song Wen felt a force, similar to a sealing power, enveloping him.

The spiritual energy and spiritual sense in his body were both suppressed, unable to extend

outside his body.

Startled, Song Wen quickly retracted his foot.

The sensation of his spiritual energy and sense being sealed vanished imdiately.

Song Wen's expression shifted, uncertain.

Inside this cave, his spiritual sense and energy were completely suppressed, unable to leave

his body.

This ant that many of his techniques couldn't be used.

He stepped back into the cave and began testing various thods.

He found that he could still open his storage ring and retrieve items.

He could ride his flying sword to move but couldn't send it out of his hand.

In summary, spiritual tools worked normally when in physical contact but couldn't be controlled once separated from his body.

Song Wen directed six Sacred Gus to stay within a hundred-foot radius around him.

In this area, even in total darkness, he could see clearly, allowing him to communicate with the Sacred Gus in real-ti.

Song Wen entered the cavern, riding his sword, moving slowly toward the towering

mountain.

After traveling over a hundred miles, he finally arrived at the foot of the mountain.

Looking up, he saw the peak hidden in darkness.

The height of the mountain was unknown.

The mountain was pitch-black, with smooth rock walls that would be extrely difficult to

climb.

Song Wen flew on his sword, aiming toward the summit.

After ascending roughly ten miles, he saw the peak before him.

The entire mountain peak had been leveled by so great force, forming a broad, flat

platform.

On the platform stood a grand hall.

In front of the hall was a spacious plaza.

Dozens of massive stone pillars stood on the plaza.

Song Wen descended on his flying sword, landing in front of one of the stone pillars at the

center of the plaza.

Only then did he notice that this pillar was wrapped with a chain, binding a lizardman.

The chain pierced through the lizardman's collarbone and feet, preventing it from mustering

any strength to break free.

The lizardman was covered in scars and had fainted from the ordeal.

Song Wen sent his Sacred Gus to inspect the other pillars.

A mont later, he learned that a total of eight pillars had lizardn bound to them.

One of these lizardn was tall and robust, exuding a powerful aura-it was the Lizard King

Song Wen had been searching for.

However, he did not find the female lizardman he had previously captured.

It was clear that these eight lizardn had been bound here before Song Wen entered the

cave.

Suddenly, a heavy footstep echoed from the direction of the hall.

Song Wen's expression tensed. Moving like a ghost, he silently slipped to the outskirts of the

plaza.

After a few miles, Song Wen reached the edge of the plaza, restraining his presence and hiding

behind a pillar.

A figure erged from the hall.

He walked straight to the center of the plaza, stopping in front of the Lizard King.

Seeing that the Lizard King was unconscious, he raised his hand and struck it with a gust of

force.

"Gah!"

The Lizard King groaned in pain and gradually regained consciousness.

"Human... despicable... tricked ... used ... as bait."

The Lizard King's intelligence was surprisingly high, and it could even speak human words.

But its speech was halting, requiring a pause every two or three words.

"Hehehe..."

The figure let out a sinister laugh.

His voice was grating, inexplicably chilling, as if his vocal cords had petrified, making it

difficult for him to control them fluidly.

"Lizardn are usually low-intelligence beasts, but you're a bit different. Not only have you uniquely advanced to the third stage, but you've even gained intelligence."

"I ca here intending to use you as cannon fodder to lure out the Nether Fox. But that

wretched creature is so cowardly it's hiding in the inner hall of the Nether Shrine, refusing to show itself."

"So I can only tie you all up here and use the yin aura from your bodies to attract the Nether

Fox to co out."

"Unfortunately, although you lizardn are humanoid, you're not truly human. The Nether Fox craves the souls and flesh of humans most of all."

The figure rambled on, seemingly trying to make noise to lure the Nether Fox out from the

hall.

"Human... I will not... let you... live!" the Lizard King roared.

"I am not a human. At best, I'm half-human now."

The figure's grating voice sounded again.

"Huh!"

The figure suddenly tilted his head, looking toward the edge of the plaza.

"It seems we have another little rat."

Hiding at the edge of the plaza, Song Wen thought he had been discovered and felt a shock.

But his mont of panic quickly faded.

He watched as the figure stomped heavily on the black stone ground.

His body shot forward, moving swiftly to the edge of the plaza.

A mont later, he returned, holding another figure in his hands.

It was the female lizardman that Song Wen had previously captured.

"Who would have thought that you lizardn are so loyal. One of your kin even risked coming

here to find you."

The figure bound the female lizardman to a stone pillar and spoke to the Lizard King.

"Graah!"

Seeing another mber of his kind fall into the figure's hands, the Lizard King let out an enraged roar.
