Two of his Sacred Gu fluttered their wings, quietly flying to the stone gate of the hall to monitor any movent inside.
Song Wu stepped out from behind the stone pillar and moved toward the center of the plaza.
The struggling Lizard King saw Song Wu appear, hatred flickering in its eyes.
Hatred by association!
It despised the person who had entered the hall earlier and now loathed all humans.
Just as it was about to curse, Song Wu made a silencing gesture, beating it to the punch.
"I'm here to rescue you; don't alert the person inside the hall," Song Wu whispered.
The Lizard King, hearing this, imdiately understood.
The person before him was not allied with that previous villain.
It nodded slightly.
Seeing this, Song Wu pulled out a drawing of the Soul Concealnt Jade and held it in front of the Lizard King.
"I'll free you from these chains. In return, tell where I can find this stone."
The Lizard King stared at the drawing for a mont, then its eyes flickered, and it nodded.
Song Wu waved his hand, and the Ghost King suddenly appeared.
The Ghost King stepped forward, grabbed the chain, and yanked it out of the Lizard King's body.
The heavy chain ripped through the Lizard King's flesh, dragging with it large pieces of bloody tissue.
The Lizard King grimaced in pain but didn't utter a sound.
Freed from the chains, the Lizard King imdiately slumped from the pillar to the ground.
The Ghost King swung its giant sword, pressing it against the Lizard King's chest.
"I've kept my promise. Now tell where the Soul Concealnt Jade is," Song Wu whispered.
The Lizard King sat on the ground, panting heavily.
Its injuries were severe, and it needed a mont to catch its breath.
It was precisely because of these severe wounds that Song Wu dared to free it without fear of betrayal.
The Lizard King looked at the huge sword at its chest, then raised its gaze to et Song Wu's,
a sly glint flashing in its eyes.
"Soul Concealnt Jade, Nether Fox, Brow Bone."
Song Wu's face stiffened.
"You're toying with !"
The Lizard King sneered.
"No lies. The Nether Fox is in the hall. Kill it, and you'll obtain the Soul Concealnt Jade."
Unable to discern the truth of its words, Song Wu chose not to dwell on it. He activated his escape technique, heading for the edge of the plaza.
The Ghost King withdrew its sword and followed behind Song Wu.
As for the Lizard King, Song Wu did not kill it.
Although heavily injured, the Lizard King still had so strength left. Killing it would surely provoke a desperate counterattack.
