Katari sat on a simple boulder hanging on the side of the mountain. She had been waiting for a very long ti for her beloved to co back.
This was the last place he was reported to have been seen and he had told her that he was coming here before coming himself.
Now, Katari did not trust mphis. Actually, she did not trust anyone besides Kael.
So she had been worried sick that sothing might have happened to Kael.
Although Katari never really showed it visibly, she could easily get very worried about Kael at the slightest bit of an issue.
Her face was always calm and expressionless but only she knew all the worst-case scenarios she repeated in her head every hour.
She had to do this.
She would map out the worst-case scenarios that could happen to Kael and her, and try her best to prevent them.
She could even predict when sothing was going to put Kael in a very bad mood, like when Zabita and Olivia had been so reckless.
She has been waiting here on this monitor Kael and for mphis to return. She observed with cold indifference, the many possibilities that could explain why both of them had not yet co back.
Well, the black shuttle was still here and Katari had perceived Kael’s majestic scent.
The All-King’s arkship was still here also, so she was sure that Kael was still on this continent.
She hadn’t spoken any more words about it and decided to wait. She decided that if a year was to pass with her sitting still and Kael did not appear, then she would find him by any ans necessary.
Just as Katari was planning how she would burn the world down in search of her beloved, her two ears twitched.
The sound of tal plates shifting was heard.
Instantly, Katari’s spatial sense erupted from her body in the form of an invisible pulse.
She saw it.
The arrival of the All-King with an aged lion coming from behind him while levitating.
Katari had never seen mphis in her true form but she was able to guess that that was mphis.
Katari’s body instantly blurred out of existence before appearing in front of the mountain peak.
As usual, she kept a strong and firm expression, struggling to hide the satisfied smile on her face.
He was here. She could comfortably get rid of so of her bad thoughts and there was no need to plan for them again.
Kael looked to the distance, seemingly deep in thought.
Katari did not know what she was thinking. Just before the veil of spatial distortion that had been hiding her presence could be lifted, Katari received a telepathic ssage.
"Katari, how long has it been?" Kael asked, turning his attention away from the unconscious mphis.
The spatial veil over Katari’s form dissolved and her bitch was exposed clearly both to Kael and the world.
How did Kael know that she was there? Katari didn’t think about it.
"A month and two weeks, Your Majesty," Katari responded truthfully.
"Hmm," Kael nodded.
He had expected that ti travel might be a bit different than what he thought it would be. It wasn’t like he could go back in ti and co back in that very instant.
"How’s everything?" Kael asked as he summoned the golden screens to check the public forums.
At the sa ti, the Web began to pour vast amounts of information into his mind related to all the events that had occurred when he was away.
"Exactly as you want it, Your Majesty. Well...almost," Katari said, looking a bit worried at the end of her sentence.
Kael frowned, he read the chats of the lions who had already begun to fight with the Destruction Dragons and got a faint awareness of what was going on.
"Conquering Essence?" Kael muttered, "Reversed Conquering Essence..."
Katari nodded, "It seems the Destruction Dragons have gotten a hold of Conquering Essence which they are using to directly fight the top tiers."
Kael’s frown beca increasingly worrying.
He only needed to connect so dots together before he realized what was going on.
The Horse Federation had called with the Destruction Dragons. This was expected as it was the most logical thing the horses could do to ensure their survival.
But who would have thought that they would do the sa thing that Derylia had done? Offering Conquering Essence for it to be in a subjugated state in the hands of the lions.
These horses had just created reverse Conquering Essence, all so that they could stand a better chance of winning against the lions.
Were they that desperate?
Kael shook his head in pity. There was no use in wondering why they had done it since it was already done.
Yes, the reversed Conquering Essence was lethal to the lion but it was also lethal to the horses.
Kael’s eyes flashed with a ruthless glint.
"Very well then..." He said.
Then summoned the golden screen of the lion system to alter one of the objectives for the biggest mission.
There was already a special mission with the focus on killing President Musty. The reward was a mystery but it had also gotten the attention of many.
However, because the reward was a mystery, most were not willing to go after Musty just yet.
Sure, he was an everlasting annoying thorn that Kael had to get rid of for multiple reasons. But if he wasn’t clear about what he wanted, others may assu it wasn’t that necessary.
Now look at what Musty had done?

The scenes of what happened during the ti of Derylia and the pain Noel had to go through to rebuild the civilization flashed through his mind.
Kael altered the objective for the killing of President Musty.

Kael turned around to observe mphis’s body which had begun to visibly change.
Katari also turned to mphis, feeling the strange fluctuations in space.
As she looked at mphis, Katari got the funny feeling that mphis was existing in two different places at the sa ti.
That is, she was here, but at the sa ti, she wasn’t.
Lying on the ground in her true form, mphis’s limbs began to twitch. The greyish fur began to regain its color and vitality was returning to her.
With a single breath, mphis did not just breathe in the air around them, she inhaled the past of the surrounding continent.
Her eyelids shot open, revealing the glowing green eyes.
Her mind began to fracture and rearrange itself.
Under the gaze of Kael and Katari, mphis began to regain her youth as her aura beca heavier and more powerful.
"Kael..." mphis uttered, putting one limb down and pressing her paw to stand up.
*CRACK!*
The mountain groaned as cracks ford all over the surface.
mphis’s mass on her own was so great that her attempt to stand up was destroying her surroundings.
She wasn’t even a War Lion.
mphis paused her movents. She realized that not only had she succeeded, but she also needed to control herself.
The smile that had appeared on Kael’s face was infectious.
"You did it," He said to her.
mphis managed to stand up, this ti without breaking anything.
She hadn’t increased in size or had any physical transformation that would separate her from other lionesses.
By the ti she was standing fully on her four limbs, her fur had returned to its bright healthy color and she looked like she was full of strength.
Standing nearly three ters tall in her lioness form, she towered over Kael and Katari.
"Thank you," mphis said as she bowed her head, "For your assistance..." She completed.
Kael waved his hand, "We both benefited, I’m sure there are things you would want to do with this power that you have now," He said.
mphis’s eyes flashed with excitent, "Indeed," Her voice reverberated through ti itself.
Katari frowned.
"Your Majesty, is she now your consort?" She asked.
Not only was mphis’s new aura terrifying, but Katari could also sense Conquering Essence oozing off of her.
Not to ntion the blatant crown-shaped tattoo plastered on mphis’s head at the mont.
"Temporarily," Kael said nonchalantly, "At least, not until she showed so demonstration of might."
Hearing this, mphis’s smile got wider. She had already signed the contract and was in a very joyful mood, of course she was willing to test the boundaries once again.
Why would she let go of Kael now? Why? Was she dumb? Of course not.
"Alas, I’m not as powerful as Ibadon," mphis said. She had indeed beco an immortal, but it was nowhere near what Ibadon or Noel had once had.
Kael shrugged his shoulders, "All in due ti. I’m more eager to see what you can do..."
