ANSWER , r̴̻̙͕̒u̸̥̔̀ḩ̸͈͊̅͘t̴̢̏̒̿r̸̗̞̠͂̚͝ͅ!!!
In her anger, Artemisia disregarded his 'Unspeakable Na' and directly called him by it, entreating everyone to an ear-grinding wave of static noise, forcing them to their knees, clutching their heads in pain.
The one whom she shouted at, only looked at her with a calm deanour as he spoke with a normal voice.
"I'm sorry to say, Artemisia, but I would NOT indulge you this ti."
Within the distorted mass of colours, a pair of blue eyes appeared as he continued his words.
"I cannot allow you to interfere with a Nexus Event."
Nexus Event?! What the hell are you talking about?!
Artemisia, having dabbled in Basic Ti Laws, understood the gravity of a Nexus Event.
The Future was a complex web of infinite possibilities, represented by the labyrinth of 'Parallel Pathways', branching out like an endless tree of potential outcos. These pathways diverged with every choice made, yet pivotal monts would cause these paths to converge, narrowing the infinite possibilities to a singular path.
This Convergence marked a Nexus Event, a critical juncture where all potential futures aligned into one inevitable reality. At this point, Ti intertwined with the laws of Fate, demonstrating that while the future was vast and full of possibilities, there were monts where fate dictated only one way forward, an unavoidable path.
Only after surpassing this juncture could one regain the vast expanse of potential futures. Interfering with Nexus Events, however, had dire consequences, rippling across ti and space.
Past, Present or Future—it mattered not where you were, you'd be affected.
"If you save Evan now, the paradox would be broken, and ti would collapse.
You've reached a level of power that'd allow you to understand how bad things would be if Ti—the Fourth Dinsion—were to collapse, haven't you?"
…
Artemisia felt a chill as EOTD spoke.
She sotis forgot because of how casual he could be with her, but this man governed the Concept of Ti. There was no way he would allow an action that could cause a Ti Collapse.
Still...
'I can't just let Evan get sent to sowhere I don't know! What if he ends up in a Danger Zone? Or another Dinsional plane?
What if he ends up in an Apex World? It's too dangerous!!'
Before she could speak, a streak of golden lightning flashed in her peripheral vision, colliding with EOTD's body faster than she could utter a word.
¬FUCK THAT NEXUS BULLSHIT!!! WHERE IS HE???!!!¬
Kayla grabbed the man by his collar and questioned, her eyes glowing fiercely as tendrils of causality law energy snaked around her arms.
Her crown glowed, and her power as Spirit Empress seed to return, granting her a Faux True Voice similar to Conroe and Faulin.
Despite her intensity, EOTD was unbothered. He just pushed Kayla's hands off him, and faster than she could question him again, he threw a question to her.
"Where did you first et him?"
¬Huh? What are you talking ab-?!¬
Where Did You First et Him?
EOTD switched to his True Voice, freezing Kayla with the weight of his question.
The 'Him' in question was naturally Evan, and there was no way that Kayla would ever forget where she first t Evan.
But the mont the answer ca to her head, her eyes shook and her anger dissipated in an instant.
Seeing this, EOTD chuckled and turned to Artemisia who was looking at them with confusion before saying.
It's been 10,000 years, Artemisia. Think about the significance of that number.
10,000 years.
The sa amount of ti that the goddess of Ti and Space had been waiting for.
Artemisia knew the significance of the number. She always did. She just never expected it to co up in this manner.
The realization hit her hard, and she grasped why EOTD claid that saving Evan would cause a Ti Collapse. She knew precisely which Nexus Event EOTD was protecting.
Seems you finally understand. Now then, do you still want to go after him?
Artemisia was silent, her teeth clenched in frustration.
Her emotional side urged her to chase after Evan, confident she could catch up and save him. But her logical side warned that for her sake, for Evan's sake, and Aidos' sake, she should not.
Balling up her fists, she looked up at EOTD and asked.
I can at least warn him…can't I? Things to avoid…the dangers he may face…
In response, the man only shrugged his shoulders as his feet slowly descended to the ground.
You can go ahead. But you, more than anyone else should know that it wouldn't be worth much.
Still, he knew that even if he told her this, Artemisia would still do as she said either way.
Spatial power wrapped around her and she vanished from view, making EOTD sigh as comnted aloud.
Its situations like that that break down her cold exterior and reveal that girl's underlying attachnt to Evan.
He seed to smile behind the mosaic covering his face, but the happy mont was brief. His deanour shifted as he turned to the FCDs and Evan's companions, who were all frozen in place.
The man walked forward, ignoring the trembling FCDs while extending his left hand in Glazard's direction.
Frostshade escaped the Verglas Celestial's grip and flew into his hand, then he tossed the sword towards Kayla.
Here. You should keep it.
After giving the silent Spirit the weapon belonging to her old friend, he walked to Laurene and spoke normally.
"It would be bad if you were to lose those eyes of yours now, so I'd give you a bonus for Evan's sake."
His hand reached out and he poked her head with his finger, conjuring a Tier 7 Magic circle that rewound the damage done to her Mystic Eyes.
After this, the man disappeared and reappeared right in front of Eliza, reaching towards her teary eyes but stopping halfway.
"Evan wouldn't let hear the end of it…"
He chuckled softly before clapping once, releasing an omnidirectional surge of ti law energy that washed over Eliza and her companions.
This surge of power rewound all the damage they had taken since entering Kreah, returning them to their states from over an hour ago.
"Don't thank . Evan would."
EOTD said this and turned to Conroe, who backed away in fear. The man laughed at the celestial's terrified expression and then ford his hand into a finger gun, pointing at the Sun Celestial.
"Bang!"
He said it playfully, but the result was NOT playful at all.
A bullet of destruction energy shot from his finger, piercing Conroe's head, obliterating his skull, and destroying his soul instantly. He then turned to Fluviel, repeating the action and killing the Legion Celestial effortlessly.
As soon as he did this, space fractured open, and a dark humanoid figure surrounded by a white glow erged from the tear. Its facial features were white, and it emanated the presence of the law of causality.
It glanced at Kayla montarily before turning to EOTD, speaking in a chanical voice.
[NOTICE: OUR MASTER QUESTIONS; 'WHY HAVE YOU DESCENDED ON AIDOS PRI AND INTERFERED WITHOUT JUSTIFICA-?']
"Shut up and tell Roland that I'd do whatever I want, whenever I want. If he doesn't want to die, then he should sit back on Elo Katra and play house with himself."
EOTD cut the featureless humanoid off before it even finished its question. He raised his hand and pointed at Kayla who was holding Frostshade, and continued.
"And tell him that if any of his stupid Enforcers dares to go after Kaylatheurge again, I wouldn't hesitate to reduce the number of Eternals in existence by 1."
The man blatantly threatened the Eternal who sent this dark humanoid, the Master of the Enforcer who had targeted Evan and Kayla earlier in the day.
After saying his bit, he waved his hand and the dark humanoid fell back into the spatial rift it erged from, closing it up.
Turning to Evan's companions, who were looking at him with wide eyes, utterly confused by the events, he spoke.
"Pretend you didn't see that."
He glanced at the remaining FCDs who were still alive and continued.
"You guys should be able to handle these ones so I'd leave the rest to you. I need to go check on Artemisia and make sure she doesn't do anything foolish."
With those words, the man waved at them and vanished, leaving them with the unanswered question of 'Where Evan Was'.
