Seeing how the gnolls began to cautiously approach that she was hidden inside of, Scaly wasted no ti in using her water magic to conjure a water spear for each of the approaching gnolls. Intending to try and see if she could directly finish them off with a single decisive strike.

By the ti that the first gnoll got close enough to the bush to see one of the water spears that had been conjured by her and let out a confused growling sound, it was already too late for them to do anything-

As the first of the water spears directly pierced through its head before it could defend itself. Having been only a few centiters away from the water spear when Scaly sent it out.

Not even a second after the death of the first gnoll, the rest of the water spears conjured by Scaly flew out in the direction of the remaining gnolls-
Bang-bang-bang!
Unfortunately, having seen the fate of their companion, the remaining gnolls managed to react in ti to block the water spears flying towards them. Although not without any injuries, as the power of the water spears had ended up shattering most of their weapons and parts of their armor when they used all their strength to block it in an attempt to not end up like the first gnoll.

Of course, this was just the opportunity Scaly had been looking for, as she rushed out of the bush and attacked the gnoll closest to her. Killing it with a simple swipe of her claws, as she easily tore through the already half broken armor of the gnoll. Only really encountering so resistance after reaching the skin.

Knowing that she still had the advantage of her enemy still not fully comprehending what had happened or the fact that they were being attacked, Scaly wasted no ti as she charged towards the next target-

Finishing it up just in ti for the two remaining gnolls to recover enough to gather together in an attempt to resist the strange lizard that had suddenly appeared to attack them.
Hmph! If all five of you gathered together at the start and worked together, it might have been a bit difficult, but dealing with just two of you at once is no problem at all!
Thinking this to herself as she watched the two remaining gnolls gathering together and raising their already broken weapons threateningly towards her, Scaly showed a proud expression filled with a sense of superiority at the sight of this. Not feeling the slightest bit threatened by the two remaining gnolls.
Thump~!
However, just as she was about to finish off the two remaining gnolls, a loud sound of sothing massive moving towards the direction of the encampnt echoed out behind the two gnolls.

Catching a glimpse of the owner behind the loud sound, a gnoll covered in what could only be described as trophies belonging to powerful creatures he had hunted down, and different kinds of tribal symbols inscribed on his more than three-ter-tall body muscular body, Scaly didn’t have to think twice as she directly turned around and escaped in the opposite direction of the terrifying creature that had suddenly appeared behind the two remaining gnolls.
No matter how confident she was in herself, she wasn’t delusional enough to think she had the ability to fight a monster of that level. Even if she reached the end of her current evolution, she felt that it would be difficult to reach the sa level as that monster. Only after going through another evolution did, she feel like she might stand a chance against it...
It’s... A future goal! Yes! A target I work towards killing, like a milestone for my increase in strength!
Finding a way to rationalize why she had escaped without shattering her own pride, Scaly beca determined to increase her strength and face the terrifying monster she had just encountered. Not bothering to think about how she had been able to escape from such a terrifying monster in the first place with her current strength. Instead focusing her attention on trying to find more gnolls or other monsters to hunt down after she had escaped for a good half hour without sensing the terrifying monster in question chasing her.
As for the reason why the Gnoll Chieftain hadn’t chased after Scaly...

That was because the gnoll chieftain had been faced with the perpetrator behind the destruction of the gnoll encampnt only a few seconds after Scaly had turned around to run away. Not giving him any ti to chase after Scaly and properly punish her for daring to kill his subordinates, as he was forced to stay and contend with the terrifying monster that had wiped out one of his encampnts.
Bang!
As a result, a terrifying battle ensued inside the destroyed encampnt, as two terrifying monsters began clashing with each other without Scaly having the slightest clue about what was happening as she continued to escape from the terrifying monster she thought was chasing after her.
Given the nature of Scaly and the fact that she would undoubtedly have decided to stay behind and wait on the sidelines for a possible chance to attack one of the terrifying monsters when they exhausted themselves like she had done in the past at the second floor of the dungeon, it might have been for the best that she didn’t know about the battle raging on behind her.
After all, she might have been lucky to erge alive from such a greedy move once, but it might not turn out so if she tried to do so again...
