Slowing the Geri down until it stopped completely, I let out a long sigh and stared at the giant mountain in the distance, pushing down the desire to just keep going and instead doing the smarter thing.

Going about the motions of setting up the tent, I ignored her grumbling and instead focused on getting my place for the night set up, knowing that this was going to be the last peaceful sleep for a little while now.
"Once we're there we're going to have to be on alert at all tis. Taking shifts nappin' and always wary of another attack... it wears at the mind and will eventually slow us down to a complete crawl.
Stopping here for tonight gives us ti to rest up and get ready for a long day tomorrow, and it lets us pick the ti of our arrival. Wake up before the sun rises and scout the place a little before dawn, then strike if it seems favorable. Shifts should rotate around that ti and they'll be too tired to be a real problem."
