Shalon's mind was stuck in shut down for a long while, and it remains so even as we arrived at the classroom. She finally ca to herself when her classmate's cheers poured in for her as we announced her success. The first thing she uttered was her gratitude to us.
But—tch-tch, rt. Now that was one bland reply. We still had the mission to bring her curiosity in «Eden» and invite her in.
"So, have you thought of it? We would love to have you in «Eden», or if you think it might be too much pressure, then you can also try out from our sub-ordinate guild «Arc-Arcadia»."
"Um, well... I might turn out to be disappointed though?"
"Hah, now that's sothing a novice would say. Just co over to check the vibe, I will make sure you got everything down."

As a fact, Shalon was found by Misato. Honestly, she was the number one scout of our guild in that aspect. Well, the response was very pale, so she started by building their friendship. Then rt, a fellow «Count» joined in, paving the groundwork for the IFT—It's Friendship Ti—project.
She opened herself quite a lot with rt, and I think they're just getting along well. Now all she required was a slight push.
And sure enough, Shalon turned to look at rt, her gaze clinging to him. At the end, it had co to rt to give her the final pat on her back. I also looked into his eyes, telling him to move forward.
There wasn't a change in his expression, but it was apparent he had been thinking quite a lot. Though he didn't keep his silence for long.
"I am also in Eden, Shalon. I will tag along to help with your training. We are looking forward to having you in the guild too. Of course, it's still your decision at the end, but I also hope you can join in."
"!!"
Ooh! Now that's a speech! Well then, would it beco a much needed final push?
I glanced at Misato beside , albeit later was murmuring sothing like "Ugh, Zephyr-kun is having a bad influence on r-kun...", as if she had noticed a surging crisis. It did pick my interest slightly.
But, for the ti being, we both took a step backward and watched over as spectators. Shalon fixated her gaze on rt, as if finding her answer, and at last—
"Um, will you really accompany in training?"
"Rest assured. I will make sure you learn everything."
"Really? That would be a promise, alright?"
"Yeah."
"...Fine. I have just started myself, but please allow to join your guild."
" "Yay!" "
At long last, Shalon had fallen—ahem, I an beca one of us!
Misato and I echoed a hurray unwittingly. I applauded as welco.
"Welco to Eden, Shalon! We're glad to have you in!"
"Phew~, I had no idea how it would turn out until the end. It's great you decided to join in, Shalon. Welco to Eden."
After working through her initial surprise, Shalon remarked in an embarrassed gesture.
"Hmm. I may be a bother sotis, but please continue to guide the way, Misato-chan, Zephyr-kun."
Alright, the Quest - Its Friendship Ti completed.
Eden now had as many as three «Count» category holders. It was huge. I know it's possible only because it wasn't a ga, but still, it was just an amazing result from my perspective. Just thinking about the future, I was already jumping inside my head!
Eden now had a new guild mber. Everything was going great—saving one thing.
"Wait there, now!"
"So, if I heard it right, it appears there are still a few vacancies left, aren't there?"
"I, I also hope to join the guild!"
Yep, I had completely forgotten we're in Class-51. Perhaps they'd been waiting for our conversation to settle out, Fraumina-san, Katalina-san, and Rosetta-san—they'd returned just a while ago from their volunteering support—chid in to join our guild.
Whew. There were three category holders at once! Hah, I think my blood vessels might burst from too much excitent! I wasn't expecting to reap the effort I was sowing by helping the glass so soon!
"Alright. We can talk then"
"H-hey, Zephyr."
I spoke with the implied intention to accept their request. Suddenly, rt raised a flustered voice, and chatter broke out as if soone had dropped a bomb.
"Wha—wait, seriously?! Can we join Eden?!"
"O-Oh my god! Z-Zephyr-sensei, please allow to join you too!"
"Wait—hey! Stop taking headstart! Tch. I, I am sure I will be much more helpful than any of them."
"A subordinate, and ? Hmph, but alright. But it's because you'd defeated !"
"Hey now, stop getting ahead of yourself! The seat in Eden belonged to us."
"No, you're not having them! It appears it's my turn to step forward! —Everyone, please cease your behaviour now!!"
"Eek! E-Ekatrina-shan?!"
The chaos erupting inside the classroom abruptly ceased at one shout.
Haa... I was a bit overwheld to be honest. It reminded of the recruitnt war during the entrance ceremony.
At one command of Rina, the class leader, the students attempting to appeal themselves promptly stopped on their tracks. She really had the class on her palm, eh? Amazing.
"For now, I speak as one of Eden's mbers. It wouldn't do anyone good by crowding together. Rest assured. Zephyr-san will properly see through it. —Zephyr-san, I presu you will be holding a test to find the mbers for Eden, right?"
Rina used the montum to create an opening, allowing my thoughts to be conveyed.
It was honestly very helpful. The sudden rush did kinda get to . Besides, I couldn't have just anyone in the guild after all.
Eden at present had 19 mbers, leaving only one spot vacant. Shalon now occupied it. As for Arc-Arcadia, of the 15 slots, 8 of them were currently vacant. Eden would be trying to reach B-rank next, so we could already start scouting the mbers. We could recruit up to 8 people until then.
It was alright with , and so I turned to speak, but—
"Now, hold on your horses!"
Misato chid in.
"Aah. What's it, Misato?"
"It's not 'what's it', Zephyr-kun! Have you forgotten we discussed the second mass interview!?"
"I...... do rember a bit?"
"We had to put it off for so ti, rember?"
She was speaking of the discussion we had before sumr vacation.
We had just risen to D-rank guild, leaving us free spots to recruit. I talked with Misato to hold another mass interview, and have her set-up the scene once more. Albeit, the timing got in the way.
We had exams, then sumr vacation—which ant we might miss potential talent if they're back at ho—which was followed by inter-class competition. There was barely enough ti to have it. So, it's definitely not that I had forgotten it..
"The special exam week for class-change would begin as soon as Dungeon Week is over, and then it would be followed by hustle and bustle of class change. You may not know, but there are many more who've been looking forward to another chance after not making into first ti! The more we drag it, the more it would beco an afterthought, and we can't have it!"
She certainly spoke with a reason. I gesture a nod that I understand.
The «Job Transfer System» would be officially in working soon, which was another factor why we had postponed recruitnt. Indeed, I also had co to this class hoping to find so category holders with prospects and have them go through a job change of my desire. But the mass interview was important too.
And since seniors would be trying the new system too, I also hoped to recruit so of them. I guess it was a bit too hasty to fill up spots with just Class-51 mbers. I was careless.
But on another note, it didn't seem like a bad idea to hold the second mass interview now. Alright, then it's settled.
"You're right, Misato. Can we already begin with a mass interview?"
"Huh? Well, it's pretty much ready. I just needed you to tell when."
"That's great then. I should know you would always be prepared."
"Hey, Zephyr."
"Zephyr-san?"
Perhaps having guessed my intention from my words, rt and Rina looked my way.
It's fine guys. We're still on it, except the scale was just going to be a bit bigger. I was also done with this class. Shalon's case was in fact the last. The whole class now were assured a high-ranking job. Now that I had nothing scheduled for the rest of the day, it's just ti to jump on it.
"We're having a mass interview! Misato, cue them up!"
With this, Eden now initiated its second mass interview.
