Xue Yang knew there was a hidden aning to her words. Moreover, her seeking him out today ant she definitely had sothing important to discuss.
Jiang Wei continued, "President Xue, I actually ca to you today to tell you that our company’s boss wants to revoke the authorization for King’s Ga and launch the mobile version of ’Lulu’. But now... I don’t think that’s necessary. There are so many mobile gas on the market. If our ga is truly well-made, we don’t have to be afraid of your ga already capturing the mobile player base. If it’s not good enough, then even shutting down King’s Ga won’t help us achieve our expected results."
He’d expected them to bring up the ga, but he never imagined they’d be thinking of shutting him down. They had signed a contract in black and white. The ’Lulu’ officials had authorized King’s Ga. At the ti, he’d even offered to buy the copyright, but the ’Lulu’ officials had voluntarily passed on the offer. Most importantly, that agreent was still in effect. So now that they see how successful King’s Ga is, they want to take back their piece of the pie?
"President Xue, you don’t need to worry about us revoking the authorization. I will make things clear to my boss when I return," Jiang Wei said. "It’s getting late, so I’ll take Sisi ho now. I hope you and Miss Lin enjoy the rest of your day."
After speaking, Jiang Wei stood up and walked toward the play area.
"Mommy~ I still want to play~"
Jiang Sisi was following Lin Xi across a rope bridge, another one of the park’s attractions. She used to find it terrifying, worried she might fall through the net. But after trying it once with Sister Lin Xi, she wasn’t scared at all.
Jiang Wei gently stroked Jiang Sisi’s head and said softly, "Be good. Mommy is busy today. How about this weekend, when I have the day off? I’ll spend the whole day at the amusent park with you, okay?"
Jiang Sisi stared blankly at her mother. In her mory, her mom had rarely been so patient, explaining things and making promises. The feeling was strange, but it filled Sisi’s heart with warmth.
"Mommy, I’ll go back with you. Sister Xiao Xi, I have to go ho now!"
Jiang Sisi ran back into the play area, found Lin Xi playing with the children in the ball pit, said her goodbyes, and then left with her mother.
Lin Xi walked out and saw Xue Yang sitting in the rest area.
"Ah, why did Sisi leave so soon?" she asked.
"Her mom was busy, so they headed back."
"But I still want to play."
Xue Yang patted her soft head. "If you want to play, then keep playing. There are plenty of kids in here to play with."
"Then I’m going back to play!"
Lin Xi braced her hands on the railing, hopped up to plant a quick kiss on Xue Yang’s cheek, and then fled the scene, diving back into the ball pit to play hide-and-seek with the other children.
"Sister Xiao Xi, co find !"
"Sister Xiao Xi, I’m over here!"
"Sister Xiao Xi, are you hidden yet? We’re coming to find you!"
...
When Lin Xi was little, she had always wanted to go to an amusent park and play with other kids. But her father always said they were too crowded and worried that an accident might happen. He told her if she wanted to play, he could build an amusent park right at ho for her to enjoy. And he did—he built a private amusent park just for her. But she was the only one there, and it was too lonely. She never once played in it, and it was just left to collect dust. When she got older, she had the butler dismantle it. Now that she finally had the chance to play to her heart’s content, she certainly wasn’t going to miss it.
By noon, Xiao Naimao had finally tired herself out—or rather, worked up an appetite. She erged from the play area.
"Xue Yang~ I’m hungry~"
Xue Yang took her hand. "Co on, let’s go get sothing to eat."
"Miss, this is a discount card for our amusent park. We hope you’ll visit again," a staff mber said, handing her a card.
"Ah? Oh, thank you." Lin Xi accepted it, a little puzzled. "Xue Yang, why do you think they gave a discount card?"
Xue Yang glanced at the rest area, which was now so packed there was barely room to stand. "Maybe... because you’re cute."
With Xiao Naimao’s presence, this amusent park is probably going to beco a huge hit. Giving her a discount card... the owner of this place certainly knows how to do business. Still, who knows when they’ll co back here to play again.
After lunch, Xue Yang first dropped Lin Xi back at the villa and then drove to the studio.
"Boss, is it true? I heard ’Lulu’ wants to back out of our authorization deal," Cui Hao asked, sniffing out the news the mont Xue Yang returned to the office. Yu Kexin was with him.
King’s Ga was the fruit of all three of their labors. If the ’Lulu’ officials were really going to renege, they would have no choice but to fight them head-on.
"Don’t worry, they won’t do that," Xue Yang assured them.
"Boss, don’t tell you’ve already handled it?" Cui Hao knew Xue Yang well. If the matter wasn’t resolved, Xue Yang would have called him and Kexin in imdiately. But he hadn’t. Plus, he looked completely unbothered. Ten to one, it was already solved.
"I just t with General Manager Jiang from ’Lulu’," Xue Yang explained. "She said she would try to persuade their boss not to go through with it."
Hearing this, Cui Hao’s expression imdiately turned gossipy. "Stepfather, you and General Manager Jiang..."
Xue Yang glanced up at him and said dryly, "I went with Xiao Xi. She even brought Jiang Wei’s daughter to play at the amusent park."
Yu Kexin shot Cui Hao a disdainful look. "Cui Hao, do you think every man is as irresponsible as you? You have a full bowl, but you’re still eyeing what’s in the pot."
"I don’t even have a girlfriend! How am I eyeing what’s in the pot?"
"It’s a good thing you don’t. Your girlfriend would be so pitiful."
At a loss for words, Cui Hao ignored Yu Kexin and turned back to Xue Yang. "Stepfather, aren’t you getting engaged? How’s that going? Do you need a best man? I can do it!" He flexed his bicep.
"What?" a sharp squeal ca from nearby.
"Boss, you’re getting engaged?" Yu Kexin fired off a volley of questions. "To Miss Lin? When? Where will it be? Are you inviting people from the company?"
Xue Yang didn’t know which to answer first. He collected his thoughts and addressed them one by one, "Yes, we’re getting engaged, but we haven’t set a specific date yet. I also don’t know where it will be held. As for inviting people from the company... it’s just an engagent, so it’ll probably just be a dinner with our two families. It won’t be too late to invite everyone to the wedding..."
"That makes sense. An engagent is usually just the two families having a al to witness it and all. The wedding is the main event. Ah, the boss is finally getting engaged! I’m so moved!" Yu Kexin clasped her hands to her face, a completely smitten look on her face.
