Annabelle Linton moved so fast that no one had ti to prepare.
The blade sank into her flesh, and blood quickly stained a large patch of her clothes, trickling down her shoulder.
Annabelle Linton didn’t even frown. She simply gazed coolly at Leona Grant.
"Annabelle!" Aaron Wyatt’s eyes widened when he saw her stab herself. He lunged forward, trying to snatch the knife from her hand.
Annabelle Linton pushed him away.
Watching her bleed, Leona Grant’s vision suddenly blurred.
With her long hair and the hem of her dress fluttering in the breeze, she was still so beautiful, so graceful.
His mind went blank. He instinctively moved closer, wanting to hold her and check on her wound.
Annabelle Linton yelled sharply, "Don’t co any closer!"
Leona Grant froze, his expression a mixture of hurt and anguish. He pursed his lips. "Just one look."
Despite his words, he couldn’t stop himself from taking two more steps forward.
Annabelle Linton’s face was already deathly pale, and her steps were unsteady. Frowning, she seed to summon all her remaining strength to shout, "I told you not to co any closer!"
This ti, Leona Grant truly didn’t dare to move.
Clutching her wound, Annabelle Linton could no longer stand up straight. Her voice was hoarse. "Let us go. I’m saying this one last ti."
Leona Grant watched her for a mont, then suddenly started to laugh.
It was a pained, almost hysterical laugh, but his heart was aching. "If I don’t let you go, are you going to die right here in front of ?"
"Yes," Annabelle Linton answered resolutely.
Aaron Wyatt looked at Annabelle worriedly. "Annabelle..."
Leona Grant let out a few more hollow laughs, his face expressionless. Still unwilling to give up, he asked, "I’ll ask you one last ti. Tell , do you really want to leave?"
"Yes." Her resolve was unwavering.
Leona Grant kept laughing, but it was a quiet, sorrowful sound.
He gazed at her greedily, but seeing how much blood she was losing, he ultimately couldn’t bear it.
In the end, he sohow managed to force the word from his lips, with imnse difficulty. "Fine—"
The next second, he ordered everyone to withdraw. "All of you, leave. There’s nothing for you to do here."
The butler naturally objected. "Young Master, they’re ard..."
"Leave!" Leona Grant roared.
The butler had no choice but to lead his n away.
Leona Grant looked at Annabelle Linton.
’Honestly, even now, with the upper hand, he still had ways to make her stay.’

His vision grew hazy. Numb and dazed, Leona Grant sohow managed to get the words out. "If your greatest wish has always been to leave , then fine... I’ll grant it."
"You can go, Annabelle Linton. This ti, I won’t force you anymore." He gazed at her, lost in a daze. "Just... promise you’ll take care of yourself. Can you do that?"
