Seeing they were about to leave, the server at the bar called out, "Custors, you haven’t paid yet. The bill for the past four days hasn’t been settled. The total is nine thousand, eight hundred and fifty."
Ryan Linton shot her a venomous look. ’So she really did spend the last four days here!’
’This damn girl, she’s really pissing off!’
He stared at her with a piercing gaze, then tossed a card to the server. "No PIN."
The server was a work-study student. Upon seeing Ryan Linton’s handso face, she blushed, quickly swiped the card, and handed it back with both hands. "Your card, sir."
Ryan took it, then grabbed Ashley Grant and started dragging her outside.
"I’m not going! Ryan Linton, I won’t go! If you want to go, go by yourself! Leave alone!"
"Not going?"
"That’s right!"
Ryan Linton was so angry he laughed. He walked back to her, suddenly scooped her up, and headed for the door.
"Ah! Ryan Linton, put down! Put down..."
He paid no mind to her struggles, simply carrying her straight outside.
Behind them, a group of servers huddled together, all swooning. "Holy crap, so that’s Ryan Linton! He’s so much hotter than in the pictures on the forums."
Server A: "He’s Lynwood’s campus heartthrob. How could he not be hot? Who was that girl with him? She was really pretty, too."
Server B: "I think she’s the campus belle at Lynwood, but she’s a total bad girl. So I guess that’s his type. Oh man, you didn’t see it, but the way he threw down that card was so freaking cool. I swear, one look at him and my heart was pounding like crazy, and I couldn’t wipe this stupid-ass grin off my face. So thrilling~"
Server C: "Mhm, mhm, mhm, one look and I practically ascended. He’s just devastatingly handso..."
The Girls: "Oh my god, I need to get plastic surgery! I want to land a hottie..."
The Boss: "Why the hell aren’t you working?! You don’t want to get paid tonight, is that it?!"
"...Shit."
Ryan Linton tossed Ashley Grant into his car, his expression chilling. "Explain yourself."
Ashley Grant pressed her lips together for a long ti before finally gathering so liquid courage to say what was truly on her mind. "Ryan Linton, let’s break up!"
’If we break up, I won’t have to worry about so much. Besides, we’ll have to break up sooner or later anyway.’
Ryan Linton’s eyes turned sharp. He moved closer, pinning her against the car seat, and asked in a glacial voice, "Say that again."
Ashley Grant mustered her courage. "Let’s bre—mmph!"
Ryan Linton crushed his lips against hers.
Pinned against the back seat, Ashley Grant’s eyes flew open, and she began to struggle.
Ryan Linton easily pinned her hands above her head. He kissed her for a mont before letting go, raising an eyebrow with a blank expression. "Say it again."
Ashley Grant’s face was flushed, whether from anger or the kiss, it was impossible to tell. She shouted, "I said, let’s bre—mmph..."
Ryan Linton crushed his lips to hers again.
Ashley Grant struggled fiercely, but Ryan Linton grabbed her face and held it in place, kissing her forcefully.
Only when they were both breathless did Ryan Linton release her. He said coolly, "Go on. Say you want to break up one more ti, and I swear I’ll strip you bare and take you right here. You can try if you don’t believe it."
Ashley Grant looked at him, and tears started to fall.
’She’d loved him for so many years, searched for him for so many years. And now that they were finally, finally together, they had to face this again.’
Seeing her cry, Ryan Linton’s heart ached and he loosened his grip. "What are you crying for?"
Ashley Grant didn’t say anything.
His overly cold voice carried a trace of helpless gentleness. "Do you have any idea how I found you after you disappeared for the past few days? And now you want to break up with ? Hmm?"
Ashley Grant looked up, watching him through her tears as she asked pitifully, "Can you just leave alone?"
