Leona Grant returned ho early the next morning.

When he arrived ho, Annabelle Linton was already awake.

She was sitting quietly on the sofa in a long white dress, her face expressionless, her gaze lowered, lost in thought.

Beside her, one maid was applying dicine to her hand while another combed her hair.

The maid looked frightened, her hands trembling as she applied dicine and wrapped the gauze. The wound was grueso, a mangled ss of flesh and blood.

Annabelle Linton remained completely expressionless, not even furrowing her brow.

"Go pack my things," Annabelle Linton suddenly said.

"Well..."

The maid hesitated, then looked up and saw the tall figure of Leona Grant by the door. She looked at him respectfully, seeking his instruction.

Leona Grant paused for a few seconds before saying in a deep voice, "Go help her pack her things."

A flicker of emotion finally appeared in Annabelle Linton’s eyes as she looked up at him.

Seeing the surprise and anticipation in her eyes, Leona Grant’s chest tightened. He turned away, refusing to look at her any longer.

"Annabelle Linton, after your brother’s birthday, we’re getting a divorce."

’What did he just say?’

’A divorce?!’

Happiness ca so suddenly that Annabelle Linton froze for a second. Then, an irrepressible smile spread across her face. As if afraid he’d change his mind, she quickly answered, "Good!"

In truth, she wanted to say they could get divorced right away, but she thought it might be bad for his company.

’Everyone has sothing they value most. For , just getting a divorce is enough. In my past life, our marriage lasted four years, so a few more days won’t make a difference.’

Annabelle Linton was finally happy.

She watched excitedly as the maids packed her belongings, a rare hint of excitent on her face.

Once her things were packed, Annabelle Linton picked up her suitcase, wincing in pain. A maid saw her and, full of sympathy, offered to take it from her. "Young Madam, let us help you."

Annabelle Linton dodged the maid’s hand. She had already called for a car. "Thank you, but that’s alright. I can manage. As for whatever is left, you can decide what to do with it. Thank you for taking care of these past two years."

Madam King’s eyes were red and looked ready to fill with tears. "Young Madam, your hands are in such a state... At least let us help you bring your things back."

"There’s no need, I can manage. Madam King, I’m not the Young Madam of the Grant Family anymore. Please don’t call Young Madam from now on. Just call Annabelle."

’Though I suppose there won’t be another chance for you to call anything. I have nothing to do with this place anymore.’

At this thought, Annabelle Linton couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Leona Grant watched her. Her hands were wrapped in gauze and she was carrying a suitcase, yet she was beaming as she said goodbye to the maids. She hadn’t glanced at him even once, and a surge of anger rose in his heart.

He was sitting right there on the sofa, yet she ignored him so effortlessly. Especially after hearing her tell Madam King not to call her Young Madam anymore, he felt completely justified in his decision.

’Let the ungrateful wretch leave, for all I care. There are plenty of won lining up to be the Young Madam of the Grant Family!’

"Do you all have nothing better to do? Fawning over so irrelevant person!" Leona Grant glared sharply at the maids. "Do I pay you to stand around and socialize?!"

Startled, the maids quickly scattered to resu their duties.

Then, Leona Grant turned his grim, sarcastic gaze to Annabelle Linton. "Make sure you take all your trash with you. Since you’re no longer the Young Madam of the Grant Family, don’t leave any of your junk behind to be an eyesore. And pack it up yourself. You have no right to order the Grant Family’s maids around."

Annabelle Linton was unfazed by his words. The more heartless he was, the more it proved that he was serious about the divorce.
