After the bounty hunters settled, a lot of commoration was done in the na of their arrival. People had fun, the ratio of food that was cooked was larger than the usual.

That evening Reeves and so selected soulless even went out to hunt a very large water-based monster. Which they used to cook a delicious sea-soup.

There was a long table sitting in the middle of the wide space. Then chairs were arranged on both the left and right side. Other tables were joined around the extraordinarily long one for more people to be able to dine with the great one.

Then the head seat at the table was presented to Raith to sit. Usually, he would have refused such gestures. But these days, after all that had happened with the Therutians, he was a bit used to it.

He also knew that if he refused, they wouldn’t stop asking him. At least to stop them from asking he had to just accept him - however, as humble as he could.

He sat with a smile and ate the soup heartily. The monster grub was especially edible, it was succulent and since it was cooked with a lot of oil and ingredients, each ti he took a bite, the whole thing lted into his mouth unleashing different platters of tastes.

It was a good feeling that made him forget all his troubles both of the past and of the future.

Even though he didn’t look like it, he had so much he had been thinking about.

He wanted to avoid a confrontation with a god by all ans, he wanted to escape Thard - Harl by all ans, he really hoped that chief was not going to find him or the girl, Theta wouldn’t suddenly pop up from no where... the least he wanted was adding one more bag of nonsense to all the turmoil surrounding him right now.

He also needed to go back to earth and find out if they are doing well over there. If he was to guess Mok Jae-Hwa would most likely be the one leading them.

Of course, he trusted Mok Jae-Hwa’s leadership, it reflected in the way Rain guild was built. Sadly, because of him all that legacy ca crashing down. But he also believed that Mok Jae-Hwa might be too soft for the position. He was worried about his friend’s ntal state.

He was also worried about Ruan Zhaohui and what Arica may be planning.

But nothing worried him more than the issue of the gold temple, retrieving his lost soldiers which was the most heaviest matter in his heart.

But right now, as he took slices of this monster at, he felt nothing. He just dove deep into the pool of delicacy that it offered.

The past didn’t matter, nor did the future.

There was also scotch, which had a bittersweet taste but taking alcohol felt so nice – although it was pretty useless since he couldn’t get drunk thanks to the [undefeated commander king] body constitution which detected alcohol as poison.

For once, Raith actually wished he wasn’t resistant to poison.

However, watching the drunk ones misbehave was delighting. He laughed on several occasions, as the free spirited soulless whose na was Jackal displayed embarrassingly

Soti he even tried dancing, Raith got to know in that mont that the soulless or perhaps beings in this side of the world had a bad sense of dancing.

It was terrifying to watch. Raith had seen the K pop stars, he had also witnessed several foreign dancers and artist, he wouldn’t say he was any good at it but seriously. You can bend your knees and arms like a zombie doll and call it dancing?!

The most fascinating part was the mass of soulless seed awfully impressed by it. While Raith was the only irritated ones.

Another thing he enjoyed were the stories of the cohort’s journey. It took a while but when Reeves eventually got drunk, all he could do was tell stories.

Raith could tell from the way he spoke that the young man had been through a lot and had go grow from a lot. But he could also tell that Reeves was a very arrogant and proud man.

Fine, he had his own fair share of strength but Raith didn’t know if it was enough to make up for his arrogance.

There were silent people like him – the lady soulless and Othorman who even did not take any scotch.

He was an amazing man, and too gentle to be brute in shape like that.

Raith discarded whatever he had preconceived against him and tried to know him better through the night. Which also went well, a little bit too well.

The next morning, everywhere was a ss. People had passed out on the floor, sleeping here and there on themselves ‐ except for Raith and Othorman.

Every other soulless was sleeping nonchalantly under the white morning sky.

Bang!

Bang!!

Bang!!!

A loud knock rang out of the gate. Everyone was heavily asleep so it took about three more rounds for soone to get up and answer it.

The scrawny soulless that had co to call Hans when one of the sky lord’s servant ca around was also the sa guy that stood up.

His bucket helt dangled around his head as he stood up sluggishly, hurling himself with tired steps.

He yawned and opened the door only to see a young lady with pointed ears.

"Is Warrior Raven in this place?"

The young lady had pointed ears, her skin was like porcelain, her eyes were bright as if they had been carved out of the stone of sunlight and placed inside her sockets.

They were heavenly and made the scrawny soulless frozen in stare.

He couldn’t move and just gazed at the lady with a potato-red face.

"Hello?"

Theta shook her palm in front of the boy’s face.

Imdiately, the soulless regained his senses and made a fist, putting it forward and ready to strike.

"What are you doing?! What attack have you used on ?!!" He shouted.

Theta frowned at the accusation. But she didn’t have ti for this.

"I have co to inform Warrior Raven. There is trouble. I need to speak to him." She intoned rudely.

The soulless noticing that tone of hers, stood upright with an edgy shoulder, raising his chin.

"Ehn ehn... you want to see the great one?" He paused, observing the young lady in front of him. "For what?!"

"What else?!!" Theta lean in angrily, throwing her breast to his face. His cheeks beca red hot again.

"There’s danger! The sky lord left his castle and has stepped on our region. You think a player like this sky lord is any good. Everyone knows of how desperately he has been seeking to be your lords. And rumors now is that you have a new lord which I’m guessing to be warrior Raven. If by chance the sky lord is coming here to challenge my betrothed then I have to tell you I will not allow it!"

The soldier stared at her with disgust. All the redness on his face was utterly gone, it was like he had suddenly beco a strong man with no emotions after hearing so certain words from the lady.

"The soulless business is the soulless business to take care of. Don’t co barking at our gate and defiling the na of our great one, calling yourself his betrothed." He sounded with palpable irritation.

Theta was flabbergasted for a while. She stared in unbelief before attempting to speak again.

"You..."

She stopped as soone entered the conversation. She didn’t even see the person there until he spoke.

"The great one has asked that I bring her in."

Imdiately, the scrawny soulless fell to one knee and responded with all his vocal might:

"Sir! Yes sir!!"

Theta stared blankly, confused at who the man was but after being invited in, she didn’t care. She stuck out her tongue at the scrawny soulless on his knees and walked away majestically. Keeping her pace behind the blindfolded soulless.

In a minute or two, they were inside Raith’s abode – as insisted by the Hans.

Raith sat cross-legged on the makeshift couch. His hands were comfortably placed on his legs and there was only one thing he was doing.

He was in his soul scape, checking if he is ready to face what is to co.

From the last ti the scenery of the scape had not changed. Greed had also not undergone any visible changes. But Raith had a feeling a lot would have changed should he decide to wield the power of greed.

But he had [soul force]. With the kind of fulfillnt [soul force] would be needing the power of a ruler. Except if he wanted to just test it out.

’Maybe, I should test it out?’

Raith thought about but discarded the thought the next second.

’I have not tested [force] too if you think about it. I think I’d lobe to test that one out first’

Then Theta entered.

Slowly, he opened his eyes to the familiar visage of the young fairy.

"Theta... what brings you here?"

"There’s trouble!" She began hastily, "The sky lord is coming to this stronghold with his army!!...
