Raith jumped back, flustered.

There was soone behind him this whole ti. He frowned as he beheld the visage of the dark-skinned man with a red scarf that covered all of his head and eyes.

Raith’s head went backwards, it was difficult to accept that soone like that had been standing behind him the entire ti and he didn’t see it. The soulless had a tall and athletic build, although he didn’t let his aura run amok as Reeves had, he still had a terrifying presence by looks alone.

His red scarf covering his eyes, the tattoos on his dark skin and the appealing smile on his lips, all ca together to add a very weary feel about him. At least to Raith.

And there was one more thing Raith could not just miss.

He couldn’t sense any at all from the soulless. No kind of energy, not cosmic energy, not magic energy not even aura. Which was a very weird phenonon.

Either the soulless was able to perfectly hide his energy which would make him a master at energy control and soone that Raith should be wary of—or he didn’t have any at all.

Which still made him an object of obscene curiosity but Raith was willing to bet on the forr.

"I am sorry to have startled you like that."

The soulless’ voice was warm and thick, sort of a match to what anyone would have thought a dark, tall, muscled guy to sound like but suspiciously genteel.

Raith belatedly saved himself from falling into the deep ardor of the gorgeousness of the guy’s baritone. He responded with a little strength to his own voice too.

"Oh, there’s no problem. You must be a very skillful person. I didn’t even sense you there... and trust , I am very sharp and sensitive."

The soulless smiled delightfully, "Please do not be wary about it, even a god wouldn’t have noticed around them." His tone was so nice.

Raith felt irritated then felt bad at himself for feeling irritated at soone that sounded very kind even though his appearance insinuated otherwise.

"You are exaggerating right?" He queried after looking at the soulless dubiously for a second or two.

"No, I am not. Since my body cannot withhold energy, I make it for a very fast reflex and a unique stealth art."

"Hm, so it was the latter..." Raith mumbled.

"Pardon?"

"Nothing."

Raith displaced him sharply. Things beca silent between the both of them for a couple of minutes. It beca unbearingly awkward. Perhaps because Raith couldn’t seem to be able to recover from the truth that even if the soulless was to sneak up on him, he still wouldn’t see it coming.

’Darn, I should be able to counter that art of his sohow’

Raith was sure he would be able to if he explored [soul force] to its best.

The rest of the soulless were very silent, expecting one of the two to break the tension in the air.

The soulless looked at Raith again and broke the awkward silence:

"Still, it’s an honor to be praised by the great one." He placed his hand over his chest and bowed his head. "My na is Othorman... I am the second soulless that was created after Hans."

Raith raised his chin.

’I knew it... there was an order!’

He hesitated for a few seconds and uttered after thinking about his question.

"You are okay with addressing as great one? Or becoming the leader of the soulless."

Othorman smiled with the grace of a deity.

"Why not? Your presence here today was by prophecy. You are a man that divine nightmare told us would co. You have earned the right to herald our path, this is our destiny, our fate. As it yours... beyond being okay with it... I am grateful that you decided to yield yourself to lead us."

’Ah... I don’t think this guy knows that I am taking their asses to felfhiem just so I can get earth...’

A crooked grin passed his face in a quick second.

"Uhm, well if you are okay with it. Then we are cool. Welco ho I guess." Raith shrugged and turned away from them, heading towards the main building on his own.

Hans quickly bid Othorman farewell, telling him to take charge. He ran after Raith afterwards.

"Great one, great one, are you not supposed to give a few words maybe?"

"What few words, don’t make break your head."

"Yes sir..." Hans bowed in reverie and walked silently behind Raith as they went in.

"By the way... I forgot to ask. Is he blind? That guy Otto."

"Othorman."

"Yea, that’s what I said, just answer the damn question."

"Well, he doesn’t have eyes to begin with, he was created that way. He tends to believe it is a fatal flaw the trendous power he received."

Raith stopped just at the entrance of the main building, he drew a confused frown.

’Trendous power?’

"He’s blind, his body is incapable of accommodating energy and he smiles too much. What’s trendous about that? Sounds to like soone dood for eternal suffering one way or the other"

Of course, Raith murmured the latter part of his statent and walked inside. Hans glanced towards the gate where the other soulless now greeted themselves and went all jolly. Then he followed Raith inside.

Reeves walked up to Othorman as the crowd freed them.

"What do you think? He isn’t a swindler?"

Othorman with a radiant smile turned his head to Reeves, looking down.

"You would have died in his bare hands, do you still think him to be a swindler?"

Reeves frowned, he looked like he just wanted to keep disagreeing even though facts are staring at him in the face.

"Brother Reeves is just being egoistic. You more than anyone know that we need a leader. And he’s going to be facing the sky lord on our behalf. Hey, is that not great news?"

The only lady of them pointed out, gently placing her hand on Reeves shoulders.

"I think I like him!"

The high spirited soulless proclaid.

"Yes you like him. You literally like everyone."

Reeves turned to Othorman and the soulless lady.

"It’s not like I don’t understand how important and crucial this is for us... but." He paused, gritting his teeth and swallowed back what he wanted to say.

A new resolve steeled on his face as he raised his head and looked up at Othorman.

"Don’t worry, I’ll work on myself. This is for the good of the soulless after all."

Othorman smiled and patted his shoulder, which made Reeves blush, like he had accomplished sothing great. It was no news – both Othorman and Hans, was well respected by every soulless, especially since they were the two people that served Diving nightmare very closely.

Everyone sort of looked up to them.

The entire space was shrouded in a backdrop of purple hue, there were overlays of glinting dots, seeming stars but the strangeness of this space would make anyone think twice before they reached this conclusion.

Everything about this place was eerie. From the fact that it was just a vast endless sea of velvet space, that had no land it water.

A loneso castle floated in its middle, adorning the entire area with a sense of mystery. The castle was built using sophisticated tals, it’s pillars rose from the floating cone stone, piercing through the velvet sky with a crude sharpness.

Runic engravings could be seen carved on the walls like a wave of drawing. By a glance they looked intriguing but when one notice the crimson splashes on the surface of the walls, it made the entire scenery uncomfortable.

At the balcony of one towers that erected from the castle stood a man, pale and with blue eyes.

His white hair was long and fluttered gracefully in the gentle wind of this strange space. The man had a fearso aura around him, his very pale... almost purple skin made him a subject of wariness, but that was not what hinted people of the danger that he might pose.

It wasn’t his pointed ears either.

It was his entire being as a whole, the way he carried himself with his humanly yet unhumanly features. He stood silently and stared into the nothingness of the sky.

Then another man cladded in silver armor from head to toe approached him from behind and bowed.

"The reports have co sire."

After hearing the agile and sharp voice, the man exhaled tiredly.

"They refused..."

The soldier bowed his head. "The news is that they claim to have a leader now."

A slight frown appeared on the man’s face. That was the first ti his expression changed noticeably.

"The soulless have a leader..."

He wore the frown for a few more seconds then it beca a cunning smile.

"Well, that makes things so much easier doesn’t it?"

The soldier lowered his head but did not respond to the man. Adequate training had inford him and others like him that they don’t respond to the sky lord. Except when they are giving reports.

To him, he had finished giving his reports, the sky lord was just deliberating on the best possible way to handle the situation. And if he had a say in that... it would spell the end for him.

"If I will be taking the job of a transporter. I need the soulless, since they don’t have a soul, they won’t take soul damages when we forcefully jump between spaces ti rips. Even if they have a leader. I have no choice but to destroy him... the fact that he is a player makes it even more interesting..."

A grin plastered his face, as he raised his hand and watched it crush the pebble in it.
