"As you wish, Your Majesty." Wheatman then looked at her, "Let's hope we completed our mission successfully, Miss Audrey."

"Yeah, sure." Audrey simply gave a flat-tone reply.

She didn't know the details of Wheatman's mission, but the fact that the king had personally handed it over hinted at its importance.

Every high-ranking official in the governnt knows that dealing with Cerdeauxia is always complicated.

Because their king is the last of the Cerdeaux dynasty, the other side always tries to screw them over whenever the opportunity arises.

It wouldn't be too far to say the Cerdeauxia is so sort of live on the edge and in constant fear.

"That's it! You guys can leave and make your preparations," said Riz.

"Yes, Your Majesty," both Audrey and Wheatman responded simultaneously, offering bows before exiting the room.

The heavy wooden door creaked as it swung open, revealing the bustling corridors of the highest floor of the governnt complex.

While the scene looks busy with workers scurrying about, their footsteps beco remarkably delicate whenever they walk near the king's office, generating only a subtle echo.

As they made their way down, the duo passed by two high-profile individuals—Theodora and Charlotte.

Theodora with her regal poise and a gown adorned with intricate embroidery, exuded an air of authority befitting her status as a queen of this kingdom.

Charlotte, by her side, was equally elegant even though she was wearing a much more practical attire compared to the queen.

Audrey, in the midst of her own thoughts, cast a quick glance at the passing figures.

She's not the only one who does it.

Almost everyone there did the sa.

For so, it's not every day that they get to witness the queen with their own eyes.

For others, well... they did it simply because they could anyway.

Seeing both of them headed toward the king's office, a thought crossed Audrey's mind, 'I guess the king doesn't have as much free ti as I assud.'

....

Inside the office,

"Aarrhh!" Riz stretched out both of his arms, lifting them high in the air.

The seriousness aorund him completely disappeared.

Hours of being seated in one spot had stiffened his body. "I finally had so free ti now."

But his mont of relaxation was abruptly interrupted by a series of knocks on his office door.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"What the..." Riz grumbled the mont he heard that. His brows furrowed in irritation at the unexpected disturbance.

"Who dares to co here without making an appointnt? What is my secretary doing? Blocking unwanted guests should be part of her job."

Riz had a constant influx of people wanting to et with him on a daily basis even though he long passed the era of single-handedly managing everything and had delegated many tasks to various ministries.

However, so were persistent and still wished to seek an audience with him directly.

Thanks to their stubbornness, he decided to put a limit or else he would collapsed from exhaustion.

Nevertheless, his curiosity got him better.

Instead of dismissing the uninvited guests outright, he decided to see who it was.

"Enter," Riz called out.

The door swung open, revealing two figures well known to him.

'Oh! No wonder she didn't block them. To be more accurate, she can't.'

"You seem surprised seeing us," Theodora remarked.

Replying to his wife, "Well yeah...You guys didn't make any appointnt with . But anyway, since you're here, why not take a seat."

Both of them take a seat across from him.

"So, what brings you guys here?"

"Not wasting ti... I see," Charlotte comnted. "Milord, I've been thinking about the Tegrot case for so ti now."

"Which part is it?" Riz asked.

"The children part," Charlotte replied.

"And?"

"It's about ti to have orphanages in this kingdom. I know this has never been done by any other rule—"

"Sure!" Riz cut her words off and instantly agreed. "Actually, I have been thinking the sa. The ones available in this kingdom are privately-owned and depend on charity from people to operate. The quality of those places is not the best but better than nothing. We should be able to do better in terms of quality and treatnt since we have the budget, right?"

He looks at Theodora.

"Yeah, we had a ton of money lying around to the point where I got scared," Theodora confessed with a wry smile.

"That is to be expected. However, for the construction of orphanages across the kingdom, we will use our own wealth. That will boost our image among the people. I believe our family wealth is also lying around in the treasury."

Theodora nods, "It is. Why don't you splurge on sothing?"

"On what? There's no place to splurge." he shrugged.

Riz had seen a lot of better things in the past that made everything here looks dull.

Moreover, whatever he had now was more than what he could ever imagine.

"Why don't you spend the money?" Riz asked the sa question to his wife.

"I already did. I bought dresses, jewellery, furniture, and more. But it didn't put a dent, so I gave up. I don't want to fill the mansion with useless stuff."

"Um, Milord? I have so ideas regarding the orphanage," Charlotte spoke up.

It's kind of rude to interrupt them but she doesn't want the conversation to derail since she hasn't finished yet.

"Go ahead, I'm listening."

"We should use the soon-to-be-built orphanages to scout talents," Charlotte proposed.

"Talent for?"

"For becoming our agent. As you know, SIN can't simply hold an open recruitnt like the military did. We need to be discreet in searching for new agents. These orphanages can be used to find that talent."

"Hmm..." Riz gave the idea so thought. He personally likes the concept.

It was similar to when the NPC offers a hidden profession or quest in a ga.

"Sure! But only for recruiting and don't go overboard," he added.

"Don't worry about it, milord. I'll keep that in mind."
