Chen Xiaoqian cleared her throat in an attempt to cover her reaction, and asked the young man,
"Who are you looking for?"

Yu Minglang snorted, knowing that sneaky Mai couldn’t hold it in. He was just itching to make his presence known.
That day, Yu Minglang and Xiaoqian had tead up to ss with Mai. Mai, having burned his foot, left early, and there was no word from him all night. He probably went back to sulk and sche.
According to Xiaoqian’s guess, Mai would shalessly make one last-ditch effort, launching a crazy offensive on Xuan. Look, he had the flowers sent first thing in the morning.
Xuan heard and ca out.
"Hello, ma’am. There are flowers here from Mr. Mahadi for Ms. Chen Xiaoqian. Are you Ms. Chen Xiaoqian?" The flower delivery boy presented the blazing red roses.
"...Who?!" Xuan thought she misheard.
"These flowers are for Ms. Chen Xiaoqian, sent by Mr. Mahadi. A total of 99 roses. Please sign for them."

Yu Minglang was in the middle of bending down to change his shoes, his foot halfway out, paused.
Xuan faced the young delivery man, speechless, frozen in ti.

The young delivery man looked at the three of them in bewildernt—why weren’t they moving?
He thought he hadn’t made himself clear, so he repeated himself.
"These 99 roses symbolize love, with red roses as the base, and pure white roses arranged into the shape of a heart. They are from Mr. Mahadi to Ms. Chen Xiaoqian. Could you please sign off if you are Ms. Chen Xiaoqian?"
Even without turning around, Xiaoqian could feel the strong wave of jealousy ion zing from the shoe-changing man behind her!
She helplessly turned back, as expected, finding deep displeasure written all over Yu Minglang’s face.
What on earth was Mahadi attempting, sending flowers to her instead of Xuan?!
And that man bending over trying to change shoes, glaring sideways—wasn’t that tiring!
"Return it the way it ca!" Yu Minglang stood up, wearing a black face, addressing the young delivery man.
The young man, startled by such a fierce deanor, stepped back holding the flowers. Yu Minglang took the opportunity to slam the door shut, glaring at Xiaoqian.
Xiaoqian is sowhat emotionally obtuse. She can keenly detect others’ feelings, but when it cos to her own, she’s often slow on the uptake, never quite realizing which man has a thing for her. Regarding this flower-delivery incident, Xiaoqian was as clueless as could be.
Yu Minglang realized she hadn’t figured out that Mai was interested in her. He wasn’t truly angry with Xiaoqian, just not expecting Mai to be so bold, holding in for so long only to set his sights on Xiaoqian!
No one would be happy with a man coveting their wife. Yu Minglang suspected Mai didn’t know he was with Xiaoqian, which was why he so fearlessly sent the flowers.
Yu Minglang wasn’t really angry at Xiaoqian; it was more that he was diverting his anger, just itching to give that shaless Mahadi a good beating!
"What are you staring at, think your eyes are so big?" Xiaoqian complained to him, "I find this whole thing very inexplicable, okay? Why on earth would he send flowers to ?"
"Hmph!" thought Yu Minglang, probably because you’re just too attractive?
The door knocked again, and an unhappy Yu Minglang opened it, finding the young delivery man trembling as he handed the flowers, using them to cover his face to avoid the man with the black face.
