Yuan Beizheng and the others ca over from ti to ti to watch. Seeing Wu Tian stop, Yuan Beizheng frowned slightly.

At that mont, in the forest, two figures erged from the bushes, having avoided the main path. They now stood before the entrance to Peach Blossom Spring Village.

Wu Wo imdiately stopped. "Master, what is it?" he asked respectfully.

Wu Wo looked around but couldn’t see anything amiss. Is it because no one is here? But it’s early morning, so how could there not be anyone around? It’s normal for it to be quiet.

Wu Wo’s impatience got the better of him. "Master, don’t worry about any traps. With your incredible power, getting past this will be simple, won’t it?"
The argunt tempted Bai Yang, but he wasn’t a fool. He still sensed danger ahead.
Wu Wo pressed on, "Master, we’ve already investigated Peach Blossom Spring. The people here don’t follow the ways of Cultivation or even the Martial Path. As soon as we get inside and release the Sedative Drug, it’ll all be over."
Bai Yang took a deep breath. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. For the blood of Wu Tian and his daughter, it’s worth the risk.
With that resolve, he led Wu Wo into Peach Blossom Spring.
But as they reached the village entrance, a violent buzzing suddenly filled the air. Bai Yang and Wu Wo felt the air grow heavy. Then, the ground began to shake as if it had co to life. The earth cracked open, and one by one, massive stone hands struggled to erge from the soil. They were ferocious to behold, and a deep RUMBLE spread through the area.
Bai Yang and Wu Wo were stunned.
This sudden spectacle also caused everyone on the hillside to gasp. On the slope, Liu Tianji and the rest of Wu Tian’s followers were shocked. They stared with bewildered eyes as the terrain below them suddenly warped, the Formation revealing its complexity.
"This Formation... it’s magnificent!"
Liu Tianji and the others felt the surging power within the great Formation below, and their faces filled with dread. A Formation of this caliber... it might even be stronger than the Great General’s sect-protecting Formation!
"This is bad! The Formation is too strong! We have to leave, now!" Bai Yang, trapped within, shouted urgently, his pupils constricting in terror. Judging by the power fluctuating from the stone hands, this Formation was terrifying. Forcing their way through would be certain death. Their only hope was that the Formation hadn’t fully activated yet. They scrambled to retreat.
Wu Wo nodded, and the two of them shot toward the village entrance with every ounce of strength they possessed. But it was too late.
A giant stone hand descended, slapping down toward Bai Yang and Wu Wo. The palm sundered the air as it moved, and the faces of Bai Yang and Wu Wo twisted in horror.
"Master, save !" Wu Wo cried out.
Bai Yang reacted instantly. He condensed his Yuan Force and activated his Earth Spirit Root, forming a thick wall of earth in front of them.
BOOM!
The massive stone hand slamd into the barrier without the slightest hesitation. The wall didn’t hold for even a second before shattering into pieces. The stone hand then struck Bai Yang’s body rcilessly. A ferocious force erupted, sending him flying backward.
The impact would have sent him flying out of the Formation, but another massive stone hand imdiately erupted from the ground behind him and swatted him back.
PFFT!
Bai Yang spat out a mouthful of blood as he was sent tumbling through the air again. He beca like a tennis ball, smacked back and forth between the two giant hands.
"AAGH!" Bai Yang scread, his body already drenched in blood. "Disciple, save !" His voice was weak, a desperate cry for help.
Seeing this, Wu Wo didn’t dare approach. He stood frozen, not daring to move an inch.
The stone hands only attack moving things! If I stay still, I’ll be fine. The realization struck him, but he didn’t warn Bai Yang. Why? What would happen inside the Formation if nothing was moving? No one knew. Wu Wo wasn’t willing to gamble on an uncertain outco. He didn’t necessarily want Bai Yang to die, but he hoped the man would continue to be beaten. That way, he—Wu Wo—could live just a little bit longer.
On the hillside, Liu Tianji and the others watched Wu Tian’s back with complex expressions.
Wu Tian’s Cultivation was already incredibly high. Who would have thought his mastery of Formations was this profound as well? Is he even leaving a path for others to live?
