"Yes." Under the circumstances, Bai Yang was quick to admit it.

Wu Wo’s mind, however, worked faster than Bai Yang’s. He knew Wu Tian’s character well—ruthless and decisive. Making an enemy of him would never end well. Even if they told him the truth, Wu Tian probably wouldn’t let them go. With this in mind, Wu Wo imdiately said, "Let us go, and we’ll release Wu Fa and his wife. Otherwise..."

Bai Yang looked at Wu Wo, hesitant. He felt sothing was off but couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

Noticing the change in Bai Yang’s expression, Wu Wo approached and whispered, "Master, trust ."

The last ti he had trusted Wu Wo, he’d walked into a formation and was nearly beaten to death. Can I still trust him? Bai Yang was dejected.

"Master, trust ," Wu Wo urged more emphatically, his eyes filled with earnest sincerity as he stared at Bai Yang.

Such a sincere gaze moved Bai Yang, and he found himself nodding. "Alright. I will trust you one more ti."

Wu Wo nodded, then turned to Wu Tian. "Did you hear that? If you want to save Wu Fa and his wife, let us leave. I’m telling you, if my master and I die, the rest of the Ghost Valley sect will kill that couple imdiately. So, you’d better do as we say."

Wu Wo simply couldn’t believe that Wu Tian could be so ruthless as to abandon his own father. Wu Wo himself was capable of such a thing, but he refused to believe others could be as heartless and treacherous as he was.

Just as Wu Wo was convinced his plan would succeed, a cold glint flashed in Wu Tian’s eyes. "Kill them!" he ordered in a low voice.

Yin Fengxue, Liu Tianji, and the others nodded. At Wu Tian’s command, they all charged toward Bai Yang and Wu Wo.

Yin Fengxue was, after all, the Palace Master of the Heavenly Demon Palace, and Liu Tianji had once been one of the ten great elders of the Righteous Alliance. Their strength was far beyond anything Bai Yang and Wu Wo could hope to withstand.

"No!" Bai Yang panicked, finding himself at a disadvantage against Yin Fengxue.

anwhile, Wu Wo was utterly outmatched by Liu Tianji. "Master, save !" he cried in terror.

Save you? Bai Yang wanted to scream. When Wu Wo was being battered by the giant stone hands and cried, "Master, save !" Bai Yang had imdiately rushed to his aid. But when Bai Yang had called for help, Wu Wo had completely ignored him. When Bai Yang had warned that sothing was strange up ahead and they shouldn’t enter, Wu Wo had insisted, "Master, trust ," leading them straight into the trap.

"Master, save !"

"Master, trust !"

Those two phrases from Wu Wo now filled Bai Yang with absolute disgust.

"No!" At that mont, Bai Yang was killed by Yin Fengxue’s hand.

And Wu Wo, of course, was toyed with and then killed by Liu Tianji. Before he died, Wu Tian used the Soul Searching Technique to discover the location of Wu Fa and Wang Cai.

It turned out that the Ghost Valley sect had once aided a certain Mr. Jiang in his attempt to seize the River and Mountains. Unfortunately, they were defeated and forced to retreat to an island. Unwilling to accept their fate of being cooped up on a small island, the sect eventually left and found their way to the Underground World.

So why was there no trace of Ghost Valley in the Underground World? Because the sect had swallowed its pride and beca servants to the Diviner family, one of the Four Great Families among the world’s major powers. The Diviners, unaware of the Ghost Valley sect’s true identity, had taken them in.

The Diviners, who originated from the West, practiced a different art from fortune-telling. Divination could generally only perceive events that were currently happening or would happen in the future; it was incapable of probing into a person’s past. This ant the Ghost Valley sect had captured Wu Fa and hidden him among the Diviners, and the Diviners themselves had no idea.

Wu Tian looked at Liu Tianji. "The Diviners, where are they? Do you know?"

Liu Tianji and the others exchanged a glance and nodded. As it turned out, the Diviners’ ho was not far from Peach Blossom Spring.

Wu Tian issued another order. "Then we’ll pay them a visit."

"Yes, my lord."

Liu Tianji and his companions nodded. The Diviners’ abode was not a city or a mansion, but a single, massive pavilion. Its surface was engraved with countless incomprehensible sigils, showcasing the family’s profound and mysterious craft.

The pavilion’s main doors were tightly shut. Liu Tianji approached and, adhering to the principle of courtesy before force, knocked politely.

"Scram! Divinations are booked for today. Co back tomorrow if you’ve got a death wish!" a coarse voice roared from within the pavilion, dripping with impatience and contempt.

Wu Tian chuckled softly. I gave you a chance to be civil, and you spat on it? Fine. "Break down the door!" he commanded.

Yin Fengxue imdiately stepped forward and unleashed a blast of Daoist Magic. With a trendous crash, the grand doors of the Diviner pavilion were shattered, and terrifying cracks spread across the surrounding walls.

Instantly, people rushed out from within.

"Who are you people?"

"Didn’t we tell you? Divinations are booked for today! Are you deaf?"

"Damn it, can’t you see every brick and tile of this pavilion has a history? You dare to smash them? You must be blind, too!"

This group was just as rude as the first, their mouths spewing filth. Wu Tian’s eyes turned icy. He had always detested such insolent people. With a wave of his hand, the Immortal Seekers behind him charged forward.

At that mont, the slaughter began.

By the ti the Immortal Seeker guards who rushed out of the pavilion realized what was happening, more than half of their number were already dead, leaving them frantic with a mixture of rage, shock, and fear.

"Why are you killing us?"

"Yes, why are you killing us?"

The Diviners’ guards still couldn’t understand. Why had these people attacked without any provocation? Was it just because of a few rude words? No, no, no! They refused to believe it. Others who had co seeking divinations had been t with the sa foul language, and none of them had ever made a fuss.

The commotion drew out the head of the family: the Diviner, a white-haired, witch-like old woman.

"Why?" Seeing the carnage, she scread like a madwoman, her voice trembling with anger, shock, and utter incomprehension. Her family, the Diviners, rarely ventured into the outside world. They spent nearly all their ti at ho. How could they possibly have made such enemies?

"Your guards have foul mouths," Wu Tian stated coolly. "And your servants are hiding people I’m looking for. Those two reasons alone are enough for to annihilate you."

At that mont, Liu Tianji, Yin Fengxue, and the others unleashed their Daoist Magic. Instantly, a storm of flas, lightning, and flying swords rained down upon the Diviner pavilion. A series of explosions rocked the structure, and it quickly began to collapse. The people inside scrambled to escape, among them a group of servants clutching two large sacks.

"Put down the sacks!" Wu Tian commanded.

The servants froze, their faces masks of reluctance.

"I don’t understand you people," Wu Tian said, his voice laced with disdain. "This could have been resolved peacefully, but you insisted on making it a bloodbath. Fine. If that’s what you want, you’ll get it!"

Wu Tian was not a man given to rcy. At his command, blood flowed freely, and the nightmare began.
