Fang Yuan opened his eyes as he felt his soul lightly damaged, and he began contemplating what it was that he needed to change about his approach. He did want to attempt to solve this dream realm one more ti, but there was little point in just throwing himself at it blindly. Now that he had so idea of what to do, he could rely upon resources outside to see if he could solve it.
He could go and ask in Yellow Treasure Heaven for information regarding those gu worms. It would have to be done anonymously, given that these were Blood Path Gu worms that he was inquiring about. But if he paid the appropriate amount of Immortal essence stones, he was sure that a Blood Path cultivator sowhere who was desperate for resources would agree to the trade.
Information on what those gu worms were would be quite valuable and could give him insight into what it was that he was trying to make.
Even as he thought about doing so, he realized that that might not be the most efficient option. He couldn't exactly tell what it was, but he felt like the answer was far simpler; but that he just wasn't looking at it the right way. It was like he was trying to interpret the true aning of a painting, but couldn't realize why he wasn't able to, only to realize that the painting was hung up upside down and that he hadn't been looking at it right in the first place.
A Gu House didn't just depend on the gu worms but also their spatial alignnt with each other as well as their orientation. But Fang Yuan didn't know what the finished Gu House was supposed to look like. It was sowhat like constructing a formation, but his Formation Path attainnt was sadly non-existent.
'What can I use, however, as a template for that kind of Gu House?'
He flew over to where the Dollhouse was kept. There was a plan for a Rank 6 Gu House within it, and he wondered whether by studying the Dollhouse, he would be able to extrapolate that to the Gu House he had seen within his dream realm.
After spending so ti trying to compare designs, he found that he had progressed no further than where he had started out. The construction plans didn't seem to be in any way alike.
And once again, the feeling that he was on the wrong track began to seep into his mind.
And yet, he was sure that there was sothing... familiar, for lack of a better term, about the Gu House in question. Even if he hadn't seen it before, he felt like he had seen so design similar to it. Only… what? And where?
As he closed his eyes and thought about it, the answer finally ca to him. He held out a hand and a very rough Gu House manifested itself from where he had stored it.
This is what it had reminded him of: the Blood Chariot Wheel that he had constructed earlier on Qing Mao Mountain. It was a very primitive design and had been built that way simply out of a lack of proper Gu worms. Now, though, he could certainly expand upon it to create a wheel which had several hundred Blood Path Gu worms.
And then it all clicked - what it was that the person within the dream realm had been trying to construct. Fang Yuan now knew what the general shape of the house was. He just needed to find a way to put the proper gu worms in their proper places. Part of the puzzle had just been solved.
He entered the dream realm once more, and once he approached the incomplete Gu House in question, he began stacking the gu worms from the deductions he had made while outside the dream realm.
When he was done, he had constructed a gigantic chariot with two massive wheels at the side. It was large enough to easily accommodate a dozen elephants inside it. This was not just an improved Blood Chariot Wheel. This was the Blood Chariot itself, a theoretical Gu House that he had contemplated soti in the past based off the existence of the White Bone Chariot.
The Fang Yuan in the dream realm activated the Gu House only to imdiately be faced with backlash. He spat out a mouthful of blood, realizing that there was so error with the gu worms. Above, the tribulation was forming and was about to be complete.
He activated his killer move once more, Dream Realm Emotional Compass, and found that there was a corner of the chariot which was giving him a bad feeling. He removed those gu worms and replaced them with sothing else and hoped that this was the right way to arrange them, because the Vajra Blood Serpent had already descended from the heavens.
Fang Yuan activated this person's Immortal essence and the Blood Chariot shot out at the creature, creating a massive gash in its hide from where blood began pouring out. The Blood Chariot was quite similar to the Blood Moon Gu that Fang Yuan had used back on Qing Mao Mountain in that, after it struck the target, it would cause them to exsanguinate a massive amount of blood over ti.
When it ca to this Gu House, however, this was more of a side effect of its creation rather than its main focus. Its main focus was still its offensive power, which rivaled that of a Rank 6 Gu Worm! This was sothing that it was thought only Shen Jie Ao, the Proud Bone Demon Lord, had managed to create. It turned out though that there was another Gu House that could also rival this effect.
Fang Yuan struck the creature with the chariot multiple tis. It fought back, its fangs trying to latch onto the chariot and crush it using its powerful jaws. The chariot groaned as it sustained a mild amount of damage, wood falling and pieces of it breaking off. However, it was able to maintain its structural integrity long enough for the Vajra Blood Serpent to be slain, its corpse falling to the bottom of this Gu Immortal's blessed land in question. Its nurous Blood Path dao marks upon its corpse could be used in various ways to enrich the Blessed Land.
The person Fang Yuan was in the dream realm laughed heartedly as they picked up their aperture from the ground and glanced around at the world, now triumphant.
"This... would be a wonderful place for an inheritance in the future..."
And with that, the dream realm faded to black.
However, it was not over yet.
Next, Fang Yuan found himself in a massive valley with verdant green trees painting the landscape. It looked like soplace in the Southern Border. He was not alone, there were a number of other Gu Immortals surrounding him - twelve in total. He still had Rank 6 cultivation and his aperture was much in the sa.
One thing that stood out, however, was the fact that everyone who was at this gathering had masks on like this was so kind of masquerade party. It wasn't just the fact that many of them wore masks, multiple killer moves were in play to hide people's identities.
"Now, that everyone is here, it is ti to begin," a voice called out.
