In the underground lab inside the military base, Vanish looked at the doctor who was standing so close to him that he didn’t seem to be on guard at all.
This has beco the norm. The researchers would co into the room and inject them with chemicals then later take their blood and take it sowhere else, Vanish assud that they were going to study the changes occurring in their bodies.
However, all this ti, vanish was not idle, he had been cultivating using the dicine they injected him with. He had noticed long ago that the dicine had so properties similar to crystal cores.
As such, it had the ability to improve superpowers while doing whatever else the researchers wanted it to do.
He had witnessed so of the people brought in and injected with that drug turn into zombies. So, he assud that the drug wasn’t ant to really help them improve.
Therefore, he had been cultivating secretly. He had taken a few days first to make sure that among the test subjects, there wasn’t a spy sent by the people behind the scenes.
He had been trained well and he was aware that so organizations would put their own people in such situations to flash out any spies.
That was why he had waited for a few days to make sure that it was safe before sharing with the others the thod to use the drug to make their superpowers stronger.
The others were also very grateful and happily followed his instructions to do what he taught them.
Therefore, at this mont, the people who had managed to survive were so much stronger than how they arrived there but the people doing research hadn’t found out.
This was because Vanish had told them to be careful and pretend to be weak when those people were around. Therefore, no one took them as a threat.
At this mont, Vanish had received a ssage from his superior who also happened to be in the military to evacuate.
Actually, he had only found out recently that so of the mbers of their organization were actually soldiers. But he felt that, since the organization didn’t do anything that could be terd as a cri, then it wasn’t unacceptable that there were soldiers in their midst.
After the researcher took a vial of their blood then injected them with more drugs, he collected his things and left.
Vanish listened to the sounds outside and made sure that there was no one nearby before becoming invisible.
He stayed that way until he ran out of energy. He had also been counting the seconds and minutes and found out that he could now stay invisible for ten minutes.
He knew that he could also turn others invisible as long as they held onto him when he made himself vanish.
However, this took too much energy and so he wouldn’t last as long. However, as long as he knew their position, he could take everyone out.
Therefore, he planned to leave first and go to scout the way before returning to get the rest.
Among the people locked up, there was soone with a fire superpower, strength, space, water, wind, and speed.
The people in the lab had targeted people with all kinds of superpowers to experint on which explained why there were so many varieties.
However, this was also good because when it ca to escaping, they would need all the help they could get.
After Vanish recovered, he removed the chains locking him and set them aside. He then asked everyone to stay still and make sure they used the ti to digest the drug that had just been injected to increase their strength to the peak while he finds a way to leave.
The others trusted him, even though so were skeptical thinking that he may leave and not co back, but they didn’t voice their doubts.
Vanish then sneaked out of the lab using his skills and training, even without using his superpower.
He managed to find his way to the surface and surveyed around to check the topography of the base. Only then did he find out that he was in a military base, and by the looks of it, it was the sa base where his superior worked at.
Thus, he morized everything he saw and went back to the lab. He also wanted to digest the drug and restore his strength and ability to its peak.
When the others saw him co back and put the chains back on with such expertise, they realized that he wasn’t a simple young man.
As such, they had more faith in him. Vanish, however, didn’t tell them when he planned to break them out because he was worried that they would let their emotions get the better of them and sell them out.
The researchers and guards who ca to the lab from ti-to-ti weren’t stupid. If they noticed that sothing was amiss, they might change the security protocol of the place then he will have to wait until he understood it again. That would waste precious ti. So, he kept quiet about his plan to escape that night.
After he settled in his place once more, he sent a ssage to his superior through the channels they had agreed upon. It was funny how the people in the lab had not discovered their communication device.
But that was good because now he could seek help. He let his superior know that he was breaking out that night but he wouldn’t leave alone, he had people with him and needed help in evacuation.
Ouyang Jin was in his office when the watch on his wrist suddenly made a noise as if an alarm had been set off.
Since he was alone in the office, he didn’t care very much as he removed the watch and pressed a hidden button at the bottom.
A panel slid out of the side of the watch and lit up. There were words written on the panel and after reading them, Ouyang Jin stood up imdiately as he also restored the watch to its previous appearance and wore it back on the wrist.
He left his office and headed towards his car before driving out.
