Rion wouldn’t have stopped making love to for the third ti tonight if I didn’t force him to. How could I even continue with Ares and Diaval knocking on his door?
Clutching the quilt to my chest, I looked worriedly at my torn clothes on the floor. Rion was getting dressed with a frown on his face.
"I can’t go out like this. Can you teleport back to my room right now?" I was panicking like a teenage girl who was about to get caught by her parents sneaking into the bedroom of her rebellious boyfriend. It was kind of silly.
Rion looked like he didn’t want the idea of leaving his room. But when he saw what he had done to my clothes, he sighed.
"Right. I’ll really kill them if they aren’t coming for sothing urgent." He closed our distance and held my hand.
The next second, I was in my room alone with his quilt. I smiled while running my fingers through my hair.

"Miss Vivien, the Alpha has requested your presence in the dining hall."
Just after taking a bath, Vincent knocked on my door to tell that. I asked him if Raye had returned yet, and she was expected to be back tonight but had yet to be seen in the castle.
Raye had beco my best friend here in the Undercity. Or even more like a sister. I couldn’t wait to tell her everything that happened. I was sure she’d be happy for and Rion.
When I reached the dining hall, the three n were there.
Ares looked at smirking as if he had so many ideas about how to taunt while Diaval just glanced. Did they know already? Unless Rion told them... my cheeks heated because with the way Ares was grinning teasingly, I had a good feeling he knew.
I cleared my throat and was about to take my usual seat, which was a seat away from Rion and beside Raye’s, when Rion suddenly spoke.
"Sit here," he said and pointed to the chair on his right. Ares usually sat there, but tonight it was empty.
"I’m fine anywhere," I said, but I just did what he said. I didn’t want to bring more attention to myself, especially after what happened earlier.
Did Ares and Diaval know I was in Rion’s room when they ca? They must have slled my scent on Rion! I bit the inside of my lip, feeling embarrassed.
’Don’t be shy,’ Rion’s sensual words caressed my mind.
’Did you tell them yet? About having the Celestial wolf’s power?’
’Not yet. I wanted to ask for your permission first. If you don’t want to tell them for now, I understand.’
I looked at him with warmth in my eyes. He smirked.
’It’s okay with . They are my friends too. I don’t want to hide it.’
’Alright. Let’s tell them when Raye returns.’
Ares suddenly groaned loudly.
"Co on, guys! Can’t you just talk aloud? I know you are mates now and you have a mind link, but it’s so weird to look at you staring at each other with those goo-goo eyes. It’s not as if there are any outsiders here anyway."
"All fine with . I prefer not to hear about a couple’s lovey-dovey conversations," Diaval said with a straight face.
I hid my smile and just started eating. I hadn’t made it to three bites yet when the doors of the dining hall opened.
My face brightened when I saw Raye entering. "Raye! You’re back!"
She danced her way to with a huge smile. She was about to hug when she noticed sothing.
Her eyes widened as her palm flew to her mouth. "Oh my Goddess."
Then she turned to Rion, still wearing that shocked expression.
"You two sll... like each other! What on earth is happening? It can’t be..."
I gave Raye a slow nod. She shook her head in disbelief.
"You are mates. When? How did it happen?" She was really confused. I guess she never saw it coming. "Was it the night of Mate Hunting? Did you choose each other as mates? Is the marking ceremony done?"
"You have too many questions. Let’s discuss it while having breakfast," Rion said, smirking at his spymaster.
I pulled Raye to take a seat. I gave her hand a press, assuring her with a smile that everything would be explained. Her eyes softened, erasing her frown.
Ares spoke first. "Our Alpha got real lucky and was blessed by the Goddess with a fated mate. I’m so envious!"
This revelation surprised Raye more.
"A fated mate? Is this real, Vivien?" Her eyes were suddenly teary. She clutched my hand. "Is it true? You are fated to mate with the Alpha?"
"But what about the..." Raye didn’t finish.
She looked at worriedly, and I knew what her concerns were. Of course they had been working together all this ti for Rion’s grand plan. And it wasn’t only because Rion wanted to grow more powerful. The plan was for the sake of the entire Undercity. Even if she was my friend, she had the right to question it.
"Please, don’t be offended, Vivien. I’m just confused."
"I know," I assured her and tapped her hand.
"I know we all have been working on how to awaken the Celestial wolf so I can mate with her," Rion began, and the table fell silent. "You have risked your lives for our plan. But we couldn’t run from fate, could we? I was the one who learned first about our mate bond. However, I also knew the responsibility on my shoulders. From that mont, I thought about keeping Vivien as my mate, if she accepted the bond, and also continuing our plan of breaking the wards of the Undersea Tower. I thought we could try to talk to the Celestial wolf and ask for her alliance. As soone blessed with divine power by the Goddess herself, I assud there is a chance she would side with us should a war break."
Ares nodded. "Yes, we can do that. It’s not your fault you got a fated mate. Both you and Vivien are our friends, and we wouldn’t want either of you hurt." He raised both hands. "I don’t have a problem with it."
"We can’t force things," Diaval agreed. "Also, we might risk losing an Alpha if you try to break the bond. Breaking a fated bond is unheard of. I only read in so old materials that breaking such a tie can be fatal."
Diaval’s gaze shifted from Rion to . "So you’re stuck with him for life. I don’t know if that is good news or not."
