(Rose)
A malicious smile, face leaning sideways. A deep husky voice.
B - Rember ?
She lifts her chin and repeats her question with a kinder face.
B - Rember ?
How will it happen? I don’t know. But sothing there made think about Licht.
Bleue thinks about it as we walk. And suddenly, it blooms inside her mind. Another taphorical dream.
The tale of the child of light.
In the deepest marshes of a very distant land, once flourished a civilisation deifying day and night. One god of night, and one goddess of day, living together in their harmonious pantheon.
But eons have passed and the jungle slowly claid back the land. Wild life made the gods disappear.
The old days beca legends and fringe cults.
And on a very rare occasion, a sacrifice was given to the old mostly forgotten gods.
She, Licht, was supposed to be one of them.
As a baby, she was brought away from her ho, to this older land.
Surrounded by decay, ruins, old ntos and dead titans of the past, she was supposed to die.
So that the current tis kept a deep link of fear and rembrance with its past.
But the group got lost over ti, because of exceptional bad weather.
Disease took a few of them on their way to the temple.
She, the sacrifice, had to renew the link to the past with her death.
But wild animals didn’t care and hunted down a few of the other travellers carrying her.
And in the end, by a sheer line of luck and chance, the one ant to die was the only one who remained alive, right before they reached the place where she was supposed to die.
The monster of this land, it did not kill nor eat the little one that cried there. It didn’t want to help the people from the distant lands in doing their sacrifice. Thus, after a long ti thinking about it, while baby Licht was crying alone, the monster chose to help her, and to raise her.
And the child Licht was raised slowly, in the depths of the hidden world, by a monster.
Alone and hungry every day, Licht had to eat everything she could find. Her body was weak and discoloured. It wasn’t a place for humans to grow, but she survived.
The monster watched over her, teaching her in ti to speak, to think, and to hunt.
And finally, as she revealed her power, her magical power, the monster taught her how to use that strength as well.
Licht grew in the shadow of the world monster, but alone, always alone.
Until one day, a new group ca in for a sacrifice.
As she watched them from afar, Licht learnt what they were going to do, and where she really ca from.
The monster didn’t want to actively affect the outside civilisation. He didn’t plan to stop them any more than he did before.
But Licht however, she showed herself. To speak, to learn, to teach, to convince them to renounce and go back.
But she scared them. Her tongue was not theirs. Her look was not theirs any longer. Her life had beco incompatible with their beliefs and choices.
By luck, by accident, by mistake, everything Licht had hoped for went wrong.
Most of them died. So fled, and the baby was sacrificed in front of her, because she had shown herself.
Licht realised the weight of her curse, and the weight of History over even distant civilisations.
The monster remaining hidden in the shades stood alone, as it ever was, and silent when there was no lesson to teach the child. This day, Licht had to learn by herself and alone.
Soon after, she had left the forsaken lands, leaving the monster alone again.
Over the years, the monster saw many more to be sacrificed coming into the old land and world. He was surprised to see them, as he thought Licht would have ought to end this culture after returning to the human world.
But with so unknown irony, the pilgrimage escalated in slaughter.
The monster saw a growing invasion of aggressive people, ravaging land and building new temples of death.
The nausea kept growing wider, until he could no longer remain hidden and aside. The monster fought even for his life, and they retaliated.
The conflict escalated, and the cornered beast unleashed its full wrath, slaughtering cities and families.
The jungle burnt as this war raged even further.
The monster gave birth to new weapons and beasts, building an army of death and destruction.
Its shape and na had now entered history of the new world, as their war raged on.
After many years, the monster got weak and tired of fighting for its life and domain. The humans as well, but they kept pushing through despair.
It was incomprehensible to the monster, until he realised what they were driven by.
He was the old god of darkness, and they were led by the new goddess of light.
Driving them to reclaim the world.
Her child was waging war on him, slaughtering her old ho creatures, and throwing the lives of her new ho’s population recklessly.
Infuriated even more, the monster unleashed what was left of his army to finish all the survivors in the old world, as he flew off outside and above the land, to hunt down Licht himself.
Wrath in mind, the monster flew over the remaining forests and deserts, toward the new world of humans, to kill the Licht that ruled over them. It was the day of reckoning for the gods that Licht had prophesised many years ago.
The battle of the last day and night, in the world bleeding, and land destroyed. Everyone died.
The immortal monster slayed Licht and her civilisation. As he ripped apart Licht’s flesh, he found her unborn child within.
He hesitated, having already killed every other child of Licht.
Everything was burning. He had executed the head of humanity. What lingered aside would sooner or later fall.
He had been manipulated by Licht, to leave his own older land and life, to bring the doom to the new one.
Licht had manipulated him to use his power, to destroy her own kind once and for all. And she had succeeded, as she died, murdered by her father in blind wrath.
All that was left, was the unborn grand-child of light.
The monster was the only one left to choose and judge, and to know.
Save it, and live with a new child, or sacrifice it, and end the world war for ever. Kill or help the last child of light, that will face you soday.
The end.

R - What did he chose?
B - Who knows?
Bleue has a mind of her own and ideas I can’t really grasp sotis. It’s a little painful when she leaves behind like that. I can’t always follow her...
R - I want him to save the child, and live again the peaceful happiness of the years raising Licht. Would you have chosen the sad ending to this sad story?
B - Probably not, but the choice is yours, my sweet monster.
Bleue kissed gently, teasing my poor mind in more ways than one...
R - This was a sad story...
B - Probably because I’m a little anxious about what will happen next for us, lately.
R - At least, I don’t see Blu trying to kill us.
Bleue isn’t entirely convinced I can tell. She gives a sad smile and remains silent. Here I know what it ans.
Who knows? That’s what it says...
Who knows...
We shall see.
