(Rose)
Nightmare reached the peak long before .
Just by looking at her, I can already say there is sothing impressive to see on the other side, because even she is surprised.
I climb over the large rocks. There’s no path anymore. Only that floating feeling in the air. Hard to describe.
Sothing that makes you feel like you’re floating a little. Sothing soft and fluid.
I finally am about to reach the rock she’s sitting on, waiting for .
I almost slip as I already can see what’s behind that edge. A summit of it anyway.
A skyscraper of very unusual architecture, very far away, covered by sky and clouds. Reaching heights only mountains or planes could reach.
But each ti I manage to pull myself a little closer to the edge, the more I discover that landscape and that thing that is not a skyscraper. Although it reaches quite impressive heights, the more the horizon reveals itself, the less that structure looks like a tower of that kind.
The tip of the first summit I could spot was one from a thousand, and the thin tip of a much bigger and surreal iceberg.
Bluish lands stretch along the valleys and hills with turquoise grass. The fields stretch in every direction and grow into sculptures of tubes and fruits peelings, gigantic peels. Round shapes, thin and hollow, cluttering like so sort of foam and arches, reaching the sky.
The valleys stretch over all the dinsions of space, along these peculiar sculptures all over the land. Arches the height of mountains, standing there against all odds, fragnts of land almost flying around and above each other in a bubbly way up to peaks height and into the horizon. All is mostly hollow, and makes the sights travel through countless mountains haphazardly. It’s weirding out.
For a second, I shiver. I pictured a golden door fra just around us. We’ve opened the doors to this land already.
I almost tear up. Nightmare smiles. She probably admits we won’t have to beat up Blu for misleading us here. I’m frozen, swallowed by the sight.
A different world. It’s all I can think.
The mountainous structures that stretch the shapes of the land in every direction are indeed gleaming, as they reflect the sunlight oddly. More closely, the land of the steppes itself below shines and reflects the light like lakes would. The turquoise grass that grows everywhere has an oily shine to it. It gives it a lush aspect. Over entire fields, it makes them glow under the like a velvet fur. On an entire landscape, it becos a golden mirror.
The valley is manifold wider than I thought and expected. It goes also deeper below into the earth as it spread. The slopes are steep before us. It’s a landscape sohow wider than ocean sight because of how high in altitude we are from this frontier.
We see flocks of birds in the distance, flying below an arch like it’s an imnse bridge, or a tree branch that would span kilotres. Birds...
Nightmare points at a spot where the sunlight pierces thin clouds. The rays that reach the land in spots are sprayed and scattered like rain, and even twirl in the sky. I see the rays being curved as they reach the ground.
Think Rose... The light doesn’t always go in straight lines... Rember what you learnt...
N – There’s probably pockets of heavy air like in the city you gave .
R – Although nothing floats here, I think you’re right. The air is probably just as uneven.
Regardless of what the air streams are out there, the sight it gorgeous. We sit there and enjoy the landscape from our height until the evening, and even Nightfall.
The gleam disperses and spreads. So living things in the valleys glow a little in the night.
Like twirling stars.

On the next morning, we entered the Eldorado valleys.
A wild landscape of the Andes that was changed by sothing naless, down to its geology.
Mountains were hollowed out and sculpted into gigantic springs or foams that still stand, and accept fields of flora on all their sides.
The jungle that spread is green and bluish in overtone, with that oily sheen all over. It grows even upside down below these arches, and down to the deep valley from the consud ground as well. This valley is like a giant sinkhole that gnawed on the bedrock and all the surrounding mountains gradually.
And the sunlight itself is stretched upon entering this land and its depth, and diffused into it.
This doesn’t look like Earth anymore.
And yet, it is.
We see small animals running away from us, and large ones too. It’s a different environnt.
We recognise so of the wild plants growing around us as we slowly make our way down along dangerous slopes.
We can’t see the end of these sculpted and hollowed mountains that beca part of this imnse valley. This land spreads in the mists of the horizon and so peaks still standing.
Even the mountain we climb down from, a border wall, from this inner side is being twisted slowly.
Caves are digging themselves inside of it slowly, swallowing the core of the rocks from inside.
In a year or so, this mountain will beco another set of these skeletal hollow rock formations that still stand sohow.
That daiûa at the core of it... It’s eating rocks.
R – It’s an autotrophic lifeform?
B – It appears so. And there’s a good chance that it produces as wastes what is essentially a fertile soil for these grass and trees we see there.
Like a colony of a new strain of bacteria, the thing at the heart of it just tries to live and grow, without a shred of self-awareness.
Here, it turns rocks from the mountains into sothing for itself, and rejects what becos food for plants that manage to thrive easily here.
It’s the ideal scenario of life expansion.
R – It’s a new ecosystem. Entirely. From rocks to life.
N – ... It appears so.
R – Hm?
Nightmare plucked a fruit I never encountered before from a nearby shrub. She and Blu inspect them.
B – The nature here is not frozen in ti like everywhere else on Earth. That’s interesting.
It’s easy not to notice when you’re mostly travelling, but mother Nature fell asleep on the white day.
As years go by, landscapes essentially don’t change since that day. I’ve noticed that countless tis indirectly, that grasses, shrubs and trees don’t propagate as they used to. That’s why even a decade later, most cities that were still inhabited at the ti of the end still aren’t covered with vegetation. Nothing new grows, and nothing old dies, generally for plants.
Unless sothing breaks their locks.
They are amongst the species that weren’t affected that way as much that as the others by the flood of T.I.
When they beco dünyanın çiçekleri, or are forcefully cultivated by a new hand.
Here is one of the seldom exceptions where nature managed to break the lock by itself in a way.
R – Never underestimate life, right?
B – Never. We’re everywhere.
N – And we’ll always evolve and thrive.
The valley blossod sohow, years ago. And now, it grows.
And the new world blossoms thrive along. New flowers will bloom...
What had dried or wilted leaves room for sothing new to grow.
What we found here is infinitely brighter than gold.
