The bandit crew abruptly halted, the two henchn at the front staring agape at the black shadow ahead.

The black shadow climbed quickly; its climbing style was indeed unlike any human. It was hanging upside down on the iron railings like a spider with its arms forwards.

Perhaps sensing the human scent in the air, the "Climber" also paused, raising its gray-white pupils to excitably gaze at the prey before it.

That gaze was all it took to scare the front-line henchn out of their wits, causing them to retreat in panic.

Now, the bandit crew had truly beco trapped in a jar, with the "Climber" blocking the door at the front and "Guo Xiaohua" blocking the path behind.

Stuck in the middle, Sang Biao was sweating profusely with anxiety. He kept cursing under his breath at Wei Dazhuang and the others for being worthless, blaming them for dragging him into this damned place, trapped by these beasts and unable to move.

"Damn it! Everyone stay the hell calm! What’s there to panic about! Are you holding damn fire sticks or what? If you don’t want to die, then kill that damned beast!" Sang Biao shouted loudly. He knew if the crew continued in chaos, a complete wipeout was only a matter of ti.

His shout brought so sense back to the henchn, especially those in the front row forced into a corner, who thought they were dead anyway. Instead, their bloodlust was stimulated.

Holding their Steel Blades, the henchn scread as they charged at the "Climber" hanging on the iron railings.

But the henchn, witnessing the evolved "beast" of the "Climber" for the first ti, still underestimated its power.

When one got within a ter of the "Climber", just when he thought he could land a fatal strike...

He only saw his vision suddenly darken, and the next second, he was heavily knocked to the ground.

Indeed, it wasn’t anything else that knocked him down — it was the long-prepared "Climber".

The henchman, upon hitting the ground, felt a spine-cracking pain, and his raised Steel Blade was flung away in agony.

Yet the "Climber" was unaffected; its lost senses made it immune to pain long ago, especially since it landed entirely on the prey, thus sustaining no injury at all.

The henchman struggled to open his eyes, driven by the primal urge to survive, trying to escape the beast’s grip.

But just as he fought through the dizziness, preparing to flee for his life, a massive, bloody mouth bit into his cheek.

"Ah!" A scream exploded in the air, the eerie pipeline amplifying the hair-raising horror.

The cowardly henchman almost imdiately wet his pants, while the second in line stood petrified.

"Help ! Help ! Ah! Ah!"

The attacked "unlucky fellow" scread with heart-breaking desperation as the tender flesh on his face was swiftly torn and devoured by the "Climber".

Such a grueso and brutal scene would stir fear even in the staunchest warriors, let alone these "good-for-nothing bullies".

Soone pushed the second henchman from behind. Already in a dazed stupor, that push sent him stumbling right onto the beast.

This was perfect; from single-layer trapping to a ’double sandwich’.

The "Climber", bewildered by the sudden overhead pressure from the ’at’, took a mont to tear off a piece of neck flesh before instinctively turning its head.

This movent frightened the dazed henchman.

His rigid body twitched, and realizing the imminent danger, he summoned his mightiest strength.

In a flash, he sprang up, then began crazily hacking the Steel Blade in his hand.

"Die! Die! You damn die!"

In hysterical shouts, swings of fear and panic, the henchman hacked away at the black shadow in front until exhaustion forced him to stop.

He had no idea how many strikes he landed, for the latter movents were purely chanical repetition.

But one thing was certain, the "Climber" was indeed dead.

Staring at the shredded head of the beast, a tiny smile crept up the henchman’s lips, slowly expanding until it erupted into maniacal laughter. "Ha, haha, ha-ha, hahaha! You dare challenge ? You thought you could bite ? Co on! Stand up! Go ahead and try beating , huh! Ha-ha!"

The henchman stomped the dead body in a fury, utterly forgetting his panic-stricken state from seconds earlier.

After a while, he seed to rember sothing, then brushed aside his disheveled hair with arrogance, looking back to share his triumph with his companions.

But, returning his gaze, his companions looked at him like he was a monster, and their bodies withdrew as if they saw a ghost.

This puzzled the henchman: "Hey! Look at you all wimpy! The beast’s dead by my hand, it’s fine now! Damn it! What’s there to be scared of!"

After a long ti of yelling, his companions showed no intention of coming back, instead, the fear on their faces grew even more pronounced, only deepening the henchman’s confusion.

But soon, he felt an icy breath brush past the back of his neck, a suffocating coldness. The henchman ignored his comfort, slowly turning his head, praying to the gods for safety.

But having acted recklessly for such a long ti, would the gods protect him?

As far as he could see, swaying black shadows filled the well shaft.

The henchman couldn’t gauge how many beasts were at the well bottom because his muddled brain was completely overtaken by terror.

The only thing he could do was retreat, continually retreat.

Yet even so, by the third step, a deep "roar" sound ended his movent.

As usual, a forward charge followed, and the henchman was knocked to the ground again without suspense, soon a blood sword spurted forth.

If you thought this was the henchman’s end, you’re gravely mistaken.

For the climbing-loving "Climbers" aren’t hindered by narrow pipe spaces; as long as there’s even a small gap, they can scramble through.

Suddenly, the standing "beasts" crouched down, then one by one followed their predecessor, heading deeper into the passage.

As for the henchman, at this mont, amidst the collective hunt of 3 "Climbers", he was already disemboweled and gutted, becoming a full-fledged "al".

But this was only the beginning, the real "show" was just starting... (To be continued. If you like this work, please visit Qidian (qidian) to cast recomndation votes or monthly votes, your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please go to m.qidian for reading.)
