As the cracked floor crumbled beneath their feet, Damon led the plunge into the darkness below, the rest of the group following close behind. It was deeper than they had expected, and Aurora busied herself casting wings on everyone. Damon conjured his own blood wings and caught Kate mid-fall to help her.
Soon, the group landed on solid ground. The mont they touched the ground, more sirens and warnings blared, and the entire place was bathed in red light. More golems started appearing, and surprisingly, these were just normal golems.
"What? No more void guys?" Damon looked up and shouted at particularly nothing. He knew that whoever was monitoring still had an eye on them, and from the looks of it, the person was stalling for ti. These chs were sure as hit not going to hold them back.
"Mark, handle them. I am going to raid the labs." Damon directly charged towards the inner wall, thrusting his fire crimson lance at it. The big power-packed attack had yielded him plenty of results upstairs, but here, it ca back only with a resounding thud.
Damon’s hand trembled from the pain as he felt the bounce back. This damned wall was strong. Just as strong as the inner wall above.
"My liege, I can sense it. I can sense it very clearly. Sothing very powerful is inside. This is the core of the whole place. Whatever is inside this place might even have the capability to change destinies!" Blood Reign gasped.
Damon nodded, clenching his fists in determination. From the beginning, this was the only reason he was not frustrated. Maybe an amateur would be psyched out and anxious that he was trapped in so unknown place, but the true players knew the reality.
These kinds of places were one in a million!
With danger ca trendous opportunity!
"Let see what you are hiding inside!" Damon gritted his teeth and prepared for the next attack. All this ti, using the crimson fire lance repeatedly, he already had plenty of ideas to improve the whole attack. He tried it a couple of tis and almost got it to succeed, but this ti he would definitely succeed!
Damon used his Umbra’s lesser shadow magic to seamlessly blend in shadow magic along with fire and blood magic. Shadow and Blood seed to be extrely compatible, and so was the case with Blood and Fire. However, when the three elents were put together, the result was chaotic to say the least.
The lance that ford in Damon’s hand now pulsed with unstable energy, veins of black shadow swirling through a core of molten crimson and wrapped in a semi-transparent aura of blood mist. It vibrated violently, like it was trying to tear itself apart from the inside out.
But Damon held firm. His control over these elents had grown. He had fused them before, barely. This ti, he didn’t just want it to hold.
He wanted it to annihilate.
"Back away," Damon muttered. His voice was hoarse from exhaustion but filled with conviction.
The others instinctively cleared the area. Even Mark gave him a wary look before dragging a ch into a full suplex nearby.
Damon lifted the lance and threw it at the wall before the whole thing disintegrated.
The lance struck the inner wall like a divine teor, not exploding imdiately, but sinking into the material. The wall resisted. Fought back. A shimring net of energy tried to repel the fused magic. But it was too late.
The explosion simply couldn’t be contained. Perhaps if that void hole hadn’t depleted the energy, it might have been dealt with, but not now. The wall started cracking, and veins of black bloody fire started spreading out. The ground trembled, and then ca the blast.
For a mont, the entire section of the wall looked like it was about to blast open, but then it unexpectedly held firm. Right at this mont, Blood Reign ca through. "My liege, I will not let your best attack go to waste." She shouted as a powerful aura swept past the wall the next instant.
Damon’s attack, which looked as if it was about to fizzle at any mont, suddenly picked up montum, and the wall could not hold on any longer. The whole thing blasted.
The wall cracked wide open, revealing a dark sanctum beyond. A cool blue mist spilled out, curling around Damon’s legs. Before the commotion settled or the wall had a chance to self-repair, Damon imdiately barged in.
However, he froze in utter shock at the scene that awaited him. The inner area of the tallic fortress was a super big do, and every inch of the do had so sort of tallic tubing covered by a million runes. It was a complete and utter ss inside.
And the intensity of the mana was enough to completely overwhelm him. Damon felt as if his body would explode from the sheer density of mana if he even dared to take a step forward. The pressure was simply too much.
There was sothing at the center of it all, but Damon simply couldn’t see past the mana field and the tal tubings and the glowing runes.
"Blood Reign, can you boost my attack one more ti?" Damon asked, preparing to completely let loose one more ti, but Blood Reign imdiately warned him against it. "I wouldn’t do that, master. An explosion in this place is not sothing you can survive."
Damon let out a frustrated sigh. He also knew that much, but he couldn’t simply co all the way here and go out without anything to show for it. First of all, he still didn’t have a path to go out.
The next mont, sothing completely unexpected happened. While Damon was thinking about things, a loud tallic screech sounded behind them, a waft of cold freezing air filling the hallway space and everywhere.
Damon and the others imdiately turned to see what it was when they stared in complete shock yet again. Out of nowhere, a door had opened up!
