A fresh wave of fury rippled through Damon’s chest, tightening like a noose made of thorns. The words on the ssage bled into his vision, and for a mont, the divine light flooding Niera dimd under the weight of his rage.
But all of a sudden, sothing clicked. Damon started smiling. His smile quickly turned into maniacal laughter as he threw his head back and cackled like a devil finally unchained. It was not the laugh of soone who had lost his mind.
No, it was the laugh of soone who had found clarity in madness.
Now he understood everything. Now he also knew where he needed to be first and foremost. Even as the first wave of hold and divine NPCs closed in from all the angles, Damon did not care. He quickly hurried across the tunnels of the blood hall, finding the teleportation portal in the next couple of seconds.
It was a teleportation portal that was typically erected in tis of siege events like this. It gave an out for the players who did not want to participate.
And right now, Damon had no intentions of participating. He needed to be at five places at once, and he had already made his decision as to whom he needed to give his top priority. With this, Damon no longer showed any signs of hesitation. He disappeared in a second, appearing right outside Niera City.
The person who had fucked with him planned everything thoroughly, taking note of even each and every small detail. Clearly, that person was one with both ans and information and a vast network full of capable people. But unfortunately, he was dealing with the wrong person.
The opponent might have everything on his side, the control of the situation held tight in the palm of his calm but he did not have one thing. He did not have Damon’s knowledge. He had no idea how exactly a raid worked, but Damon did.
Damon grinned like a maniac as he again and again activated [Shadow Step] and covered the distance between himself and his target in a matter of seconds. His blood was boiling from the thrill and the excitent. His rage was driving him like steroids pumped into his veins.
Soone had dared to do the very thing he was afraid of. Soone had done the very thing he had been working hard for. They had touched every single person he cared about. They had dared to cross the one line he had drawn in blood.
Damon’s movents beca a blur, unstoppable, unrelenting, inhuman. Trees bent away from him. Monsters in the wild flattened themselves against the earth in instinctive submission. His bloodlust was palpable now, a living storm wrapped in shadows and blood.
He reached the neighbouring city in no ti. From there, he took the teleportation portal to Maple City, a small city that was only famous for its single dungeon. A dungeon that had a high drop rate for divine and holy-aligned crafting materials.
And the sa dungeon near which Aurora and ira were currently held hostage.
Among everyone who needed his help right this mont and his own class and progress at stake, Damon had still decided to co here because this was precisely what his opponent did not want him to do.
That person might have succeeded in trapping Damon from all sides, hitting him with blow after blow when he had least expected it, and in fact, when he was still recovering from sothing huge like facing an actual demon god, but the real devil was in the details.
Mark and Kate were two extrely strong individuals. They also had a special status in the vampire race, and both of them possessed the ability to teleport to the base at a mont’s notice.
Moreover, he had complete faith in the abilities of his friends. They did not need babysitting for every little thing, and if Damon thought that they did, he would only be doing them a disservice. This particular trap, they needed to handle by themselves.
It was also a chance for them to grow. Even if nothing else was wrong at the mont, he would have still probably not interfered in this particular fight.
Next was his family. A prison sentence sounds urgent and would have probably panicked other players into doing sothing hasty for their family, but Damon was different. As soone who was familiar with this ga longer than anyone in the current tiline, he knew the prison system in and out.
His family was probably in the safest location at the mont as they possibly could! There was no need to rush to their side right this second.
As for Sylvara and the black pool, if the other party really had the ability to take the legacy, then Damon did not care about it. The entire ga was filled with opportunities, and if one passed them by, there would always be another. There was no use prioritizing that over anything else.
And finally, there was the blood hall raid. This was tricky because Damon was counting on several moving parts here. Blood hall after the first upgrade has inbuilt defenses, and if he was not wrong, this should give him about 15 minutes of ti to handle things here and get back.
This was the second most important thing he had to address. Contribution in this raid was an opportunity that he could under no circumstances miss out on. This was probably why the other party had assud he would definitely stay back and fight instead of coming to Aurora.
However, they had gravely miscalculated one thing. 15 minutes was plenty of ti for him to do everything that he wanted to do and then so more. It was ti to begin the fucking blood bath.
