The Wolf-king stared at Laden’s new appearance and newfound strength with a shocked expression.
"Shocked?" Laden said in a raspy voice before sending another swipe towards the other side of the beast’s face.
"You don’t have to be."
From that instant on, the coin was flipped on its head, with Laden creating and worsening the injuries all over the Wolf-king’s body faster than it could heal.
"Awoooff," The Wolf-king howled loudly.
"Calling for help? sadly there’s no one here to help you," Laden shouted in response.
His attacks grew even more ferocious as he thought about the possibility of help arriving.
"End this quick, Laden; we can’t last much longer," Pri said from the Nascent Space.
"I know, but this thing just won’t die," Laden retorted.
Distracted a little by his conversation with Pri, Laden was too late to notice the change in his environnt and even the Wolf-king itself.
"Haaaa, what the hell is that?" he suddenly shouted while he stared at the Wolf-king’s new appearance.
Almost all of his drooping and rotten skin had fallen off, leaving only the skin on its face and paw.
"Doesn’t it have organs?" Laden thought in shock as he watched the new, mostly skeleton Wolf-king.
"It’s given up trying to heal its injuries and now all it wants is to kill you," Pri said.
"It should bring it on; we are much more powerful now," Laden said confidently.
"Idiot, we have less than one minute left," Pri shouted.
That shout imdiately brought Laden to his senses, making him use all he had, but now he just couldn’t overpower the Wolf-king anymore; instead, he seed to be possibly losing.
"Thirty seconds more," Pri said with slight anxiety.
Laden himself could feel the pressure, but he didn’t mind too much; he just kept on attacking as best he could, hoping to completely shatter the beast’s defenses.
But it seed all for naught as the Wolf-king responded in kind to all of them.
*Thirty seconds later*
"We couldn’t do it, Pri," Laden muttered as he watched the blue fur on his body revert and all the changes to his arm completely disappear.
"I am Falling," he thought as he noticed the sky growing more distant.
"This bastard will be taking the victory, uhh," he said as he watched the Wolf-king’s teeth approach his head from the side before he completely closed them.
Ti went by, a second passed and then more, but the skull-crushing bite Laden expected hadn’t arrived.
He struggled to open his eyes and looked beside him while a smile ford on his face.
"I guess that’s a win," Laden said, his eyes reflecting the piles of bone and the head of the Wolf-king that had crashed just beside him.
"It must have run out of energy too," Pri said.
"Lucky," Laden responded.
"What luck? This Primordial one planned it all," Pri said arrogantly.
"Yeah, sure," Laden responded with a soft chuckle while he lay there on the blackened, dry patch of land completely immobile.
"You know anything could kill you right now, right?" Pri said.
"Yes, I do, but what am I supposed to do when that crazy ability of yours has left completely unable to move?" Laden blad.
The two of them continued their playful banter, completely ignoring everything in their surroundings, and then
Krrushskkkkk!!!!
The ground rumbled extrely aggressively, and the sky shook as if everything were about to be displaced from their original position.
"What’s happening, Pri? Don’t tell it’s that eye again?" Laden said with obvious fear present in his voice.
"I don’t know, it’s possible," Pri responded helplessly.
"That ability seems to attract them for so reasons,"
"Them? Who are they?" Laden asked.
"My enemies, I don’t know who or what they are, but I know sothing is after ."
"But there’s nothing they can do to this one; I will beat all of them down," his arrogant voice resurfacing.
"Yes, we won’t be going down without a fight this ti," Laden said with the sa energy.
"Have you forgotten you can’t even move," Pri mocked.
While the two spoke to each other, the world still kept shaking as if sothing wanted to descend, but it seed as if it was being obstructed by sothing.
"It seems nothing will be appearing this ti," Laden said with a sigh of relief as he felt the ground vibration slowly reduce.
"All bark and no bite," he said smugly.
"What’s that even supposed to an?" Pri responded.
"Oh, sorry, it’s just sothing we say back ho," his voice sank.
"What ho? I have never heard your parents say that," Pri pressed further.
"Just drop it, forget about it," he said, hitting his hand on the ground angrily.
"Growing arrogant—uhhh, on the bright side, it seems you are able to move now," Pri said.
When he heard Pri’s words, Laden finally realized that he could actually really move again.
"Let’s go then," He said while standing up.
While he was in the spirit world, Laden didn’t have a real scope of how ti went, so he couldn’t realize how much he spent on the ground, but it seems like it has been quite a while.
The instant he stood up, Laden’s eyes imdiately caught sight of sothing from the side.
"What’s that?" he muttered while turning around to look at it much more closely.
"Now that is strange," he said again with his brow scrunched up.
Summoning courage, Laden moved to get closer to the almost translucent light that was floating in the distance.
"Pri, do you know what that is?" Laden asked.
"I have no idea; just move closer already," he urged.
After a while of walking, Laden finally arrived in front of the ball and stretched his hand to touch it.
The mont his fingers touched the rim of the glowing ball, Laden felt a cold energy flow through his body and shoot straight at his mind.
"I hope I get a power Summon this ti," he suddenly heard a strange voice in his mind.
Laden’s eyes widened in shock while a thought ran through his mind.
"Don’t tell it’s what I am thinking," he said anxiously.
