STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer Chapter 16 Black Wolves (Corrupted Beasts)

Western Lake Settlent,

The flying armoured vehicle reaches the settlent area. It's a fortified area surrounded by ordinary brick walls. The defence can't withstand the attacks of many Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts.

"Young Master, we are here," Captain Morris said.

Jeremy stared out through the window. There is a sign of damage on the brick walls. He thinks it's better to see the situation of the settlent first.

"Let's go inside," He said.

Hearing that the Captain drove the armored vehicle to the entrance. When the vehicle arrived in front of the entrance. So people were monitoring the place and opened the gate quickly.

So of them imdiately saw the raven symbol of the Night Family.

"Support has arrived!"

"It's the Night Family's guards!" They shouted.

Creak!

After entering inside, the vehicle ca to a halt in the middle of the settlent. The Raven symbol drew the attention of the people. The settlent is filled with densely populated houses.

So all the young and old were able to co out of their house quickly.

There is little space available for any activities. Then Jeremy and others stepped out of the vehicle. His gaze imdiately fell on the people.

Everyone was dressed in ordinary clothes, not so shabby. They can survive here. But they don't have ti for leisure activities. There is also a small number of holess people in this settlent.

There are small orphanages here. Which are sponsored by City C. He doesn't know what will happen to them if they face the Corrupted Beasts attack.

"Morris, ask for the Administrator here?" Jeremy said.

"I'm the Administrator here. My na is Radeo," An old man dressed in an ordinary white shirt and blue pants appears.

"You must be a young master, Jeremy. I have seen your face on the news," Radeo said. The others were recognised as well. Right now, they don't dare to speak.

"Alright, when did the beast attack happen?" Jeremy asked.

"One hour ago," Radeo replied.

"Good, we will take care of beasts. Until then you people have to stay inside your house," Jeremy said.

Then he decides to leave and look for the beasts around the western lake. The na of the settlent also cos from the place.

The Armored Vehicle was parked outside of the entrance. Jeremy and the others decided to walk on. Currently, they are going towards the western lake.

Jeremy takes his katana out. His senses were giving him ominous feelings. Like sothing dangerous lurking ahead.

"Young Master," Morris asked, after seeing his actions.

"Sothing is up, be alert everyone," Jeremy said.

Hearing that guards beca alerted as well. Morris thinks that the Young Master has found sothing.

Not long after,

They spotted a corrupted beast's wolf pack resting near the western lake. These are Tier-2 Corrupted Beasts. They are all Black. Their canine teeth are razor-sharp. Their reddened eyes and nacing look would scare anyone.

But Jeremy already had experience of dealing with them. So he quickly counters the numbers.

"6 Beasts are lying on the ground. We should be able to kill them quickly," Jeremy said.

"Good," Morris said.

Then, others acted quickly. Everyone moves imdiately to deal with the Corrupted Beast.

Jeremy approaches the sleeping corrupted beast near him. Sensing soone's presence, the black wolf-corrupted beast stood up imdiately.

It's an adult black wolf almost 8 ft in size. The Tier -2 Corrupted Beast opens its mouth to punch at any ti. Looking at the Beast's posture, Jeremy's eyes flickered.

The Black Wolves are known for their speed. So he has to inflict damage at the right mont. Otherwise, the Beast could escape.

Howl!

The Beast leapt forward to attack. Its Giant Claws are so sharp that they can shred body parts into pieces. Jeremy gripped the katana tightly.

His gaze followed the Beast's movents. He sidestepped imdiately to evade the attack. At the sa ti, his katana dances. It imdiately made a horizontal cut on the Beast's body.

Howl!

The black wolf let out a howl. Its eyes reddened in anger. A deep red cut can be seen. The blade went deep inside. But it was not enough to end the Beast's life.

Jeremy's eyes flickered. He knows it would take a few strikes to end its life. So he decides to imbue starlight energy into the Katana blade.

It's going to be the first ti for him to use the ability against the Corrupted Beast. He can't wait to see the effect.

Jeremy imdiately started channelling the starlight elent into the Katana Blade.

The Black Wolf turns around to attack. This ti it uses its ability. It disappears from the spot the next second.

Swoosh!

At the sa ti, the black katana blade glowed with the starlight energy. The Beast appears above his head the next second. When its sharp claws ca close to touch him.

Jeremy's body moved. He avoided the claw and directed his katana blade, slashing with speed.

Like a whirlwind, the katana blade filled with starlight energy strikes the neck area. The blade imbued with starlight energy, went deep inside the neck like a knife cutting butter.

Pfff!

Like a fountain, the blood starts to pour. The blade went smoothly before cutting the Giant Head of the Black Wolf.

Thud!

Then decapitated and rolled over to the ground. Jeremy felt the whole process went smoothly. The Starlight energy makes him feel lighter and powerful at the sa ti.

"Young Master, we need help"

Then a loud voice draws back his attention. Jeremy saw others were still fighting against the beasts. So he went to assist them.

Before using the starlight energy, he had to use many strikes to kill the Tier-2 Beasts. Now, a single strike filled with starlight energy is enough to kill the Beast.

But the Starlight energy is not limitless. Once it's exhausted, he has to wait before the ntal zone recovers the starlight energy.

As the fighting goes on, Jeremy can perceive the changes in his fighting. It was not passive anymore. Earlier, he used to attack and exploit the weakness of the Corrupted Beasts.

Now he feels can take away Beasts' life easily. Even if it's a Tier-2 Bloodthirsty Salamander. Jeremy has the confidence to decapitate it right away.
