The underground collapse is showing no sign of stopping. People who were watching on their screens were scared.
Officials from the City Administration, the Beast Taming Association, and other major families were observing the disaster unfold in front of their eyes.
It didn't take long for the three City Governors to take action. Their nas were already damaged because of the beast invasion, and now a similar event was taking place. They wouldn't delay in making any decisions.
So they dispatched several reserve teams made up of Tier-5 beast tars, led by Tier-6 Beast Tars. So of the Tier-6 Beast Tars had served as commanders during the recent beast invasion.
Not long after they left, the dic and rescue teams were sent to the collapsed areas. Many buildings were destroyed, and it was reported that sounds of human cries were heard inside so of the collapsed buildings.
It was evident that people were trapped inside. If they were hurt and immobile, only the rescue teams could save them.
On the other hand, the Beast Taming Association took several actions from their side as well. Nobody knew what was going on, but if corrupted beasts appeared, it could cause heavy human losses.
So it was the job of the beast tars to hunt down the corrupted beasts. Their teams had the sa strength as the City Administration Reserve Team.
The Tier-6 Beast Tars from the Beast Taming Association also served as Commanders, so they ford a team similar to that of the reserve team.
Shortly afterward, major Beast Taming Families sent out their mbers to help people as well. It was one thing to fight outside the City walls, but if sothing happened inside the city walls, the losses would be great.
The Beast Taming Families didn't hesitate at all. They decided to provide whatever help they could. This city was their ho, and they couldn't watch from the sidelines if sothing happened to it.
anwhile, the underground collapse ca to a stop a few minutes later. Many people had escaped earlier after watching the news, yet so were trapped inside the collapsed buildings. There was also a possible death toll.
But the underground collapse showed no sign of further extension. Helicopters were flying in the sky filming the scenes, and the broadcast news channel confird the situation.
The locals sighed in relief and celebrated the fact that the disaster had stopped. But the real problem has started now. They had to save the injured people before the golden hour expired.
At the site close to the downtown area, the underground passage collapsed below the dilapidated building. It caused the old rundown building to be destroyed.
Fortunately, this place had been barricaded yesterday. No one was allowed to go near it, so there were no casualties.
It was also the location where Instructor Jacob Henry was monitoring. He was scared at that mont. He hadn't expected such a thing could happen while he was watching the news online.
He saw how the underground collapse extended from so construction site to various places. The rundown structure in front of him was one such place.
If the incident had taken place during Jeremy Night's investigation, that kid would have died there last night.
His eyes flashed with seriousness. They had been careless, allowing kids to conduct simple missions. Yet this simple mission had turned out to be dangerous.
Right now, all the high-tier beast tars had been dispatched, inspecting the underground passage. They were worried that a corrupted beast might erge from any of the openings.
"So this was the main site!"
A loud voice brought him back to reality. Jacob Henry turned around and found a middle-aged man looking over the collapsed structure.
He was about to stop the man, but then he recognized the Commander uniform.
"One of the commanders is here," Jacob thought.
They wouldn't appear outside unless there was a threat from a powerful corrupted beast.
The middle-aged man had black hair and eyes, and his tan skin tone was complented by well-trained and robust muscles hidden under his uniform.
"Is there anyone who needs help here?"
He asked without turning back, assuming everyone had safely evacuated the area.
"No, there is no one here except ," Jacob replied.
The middle-aged man then turned around and recognized Jacob's familiar face.
"You are that First Year Instructor from Central University 14," he said.
"Commander Harris!" Jacob called out in surprise.
How could he not rember him? Jeremy Night had served under his captain's team during the beasts invasion.
"You recognize as well!"
Harris was taken aback a little. He hadn't expected the instructor to rember him; many instructors had seen him during the beasts' invasion.
Harris walked up to him, and only after getting near did he rember one more thing.
"Hey, you are the instructor of that STRIKER kid," Harris said, recalling everything. How could he forget soone who had perford well against the corrupted beasts?
Jacob smiled and said, "Yes, Commander. I'm the Departnt Head of the STRIKER Departnt, which was restarted this year by Dean Carolyn."
"I was correct. It's you guys. So how is that kid?"
"And what are you doing here?" Harris asked, having co right after inspecting so other places.
Jacob's expression turned serious, and he began to explain everything, starting from Jeremy Night's mission.
About five minutes later, Jacob finished briefing him. Harris was shocked. The human involvent in this incident had been shared with all the Tier-6 Beast Tars.
He hadn't expected those people to be the first to discover the clue. Now he realized where the intel ca from; it must have been Dean Carolyn who shared it with the City Administration.
Only after realizing the seriousness of the incident did the three City Governors act upon it. He was impressed by that kid, Jeremy as well. If that kid was here, he would have talked to him.
"No one dared to inspect the underground passage. But that kid did it," Harris said with a smile..
