Jeremy is using the dense canopy as a shield to flee from the insect beasts. His body brushes against the leaves of unknown plants.
Normally, he would prefer to avoid coming into contact with them, but in this situation, he can only think of one thing: successfully escaping the flying insect beasts.
He is following his instincts; there is no destination in his mind.
He is careful not to lose his balance with each stride.
Buzz!
Just as he is doing okay, a buzzing noise disturbs him. He cos close to losing his balance, but with his exceptional senses, he is able to stabilize his footsteps.
Jeremy turns around and zooms in to see. A massive, robust beast is coming at him.
The size of the beast is a reminder that it is Tier-5 or above, especially since the wing-flapping sound is making him dizzy.
As the seconds go by, the sound of the beast gets nearer. If he misses a single beat, the beast will eat him alive.
Swoosh!
Jeremy Night flees without turning back.
Buzz!
The Tier-6 Tsetse Fly Beast has spotted its human prey, the sa human who caused harm to its kin. The fly beast is not willing to let him escape into the woods.
It speeds forward, crushing the green canopy along the way. In a flash, it draws closer.
Jeremy Night uses the forest cover to flee. The next second, his sense of crisis shoots up. Danger is coming from his right side. He imdiately sidesteps to avoid the attack.
Whizz!
A sharp, needle-like mouthpart tears through the air. It is over 2 ters long. If that needle were to strike his body, he would be riddled with holes.
At the sa ti, Jeremy’s gaze falls on the huge compound eyes. The robust body of the beast is so close to the ground that all the hairs on his body stand up. He feels those compound eyes locking onto him.
Buzz!
The unknown beast egg shakes slightly, bringing him out of his daze and fear.
Swoosh!
The next second, he darts away. His body speeds up; he can tell the Tier-6 Beast is going all out now. He has only a slim chance of escaping unscathed. Just as he is fleeing, he hears the sound of wing-blades again.
His hand reaches for his scabbard unconsciously, but he stops at the last mont. Instead, he wraps his forefinger with starlight thread while running at high speed.
Boom!
One after another, the green cover of the forest is destroyed. The destruction creates a deafening noise, which in turn alerts the corrupted beasts and human beast tars nearby.
Whizz!
Once again, Jeremy moves his body to avoid an attack. This ti, it is the blade-like wings. Instead of hitting him, the dense canopy is cleaved in two.
Like an ant, Jeremy tries his best to stay away from the massive beast. He hopes for another ground-collapse incident to occur, but it is unlikely in this situation.
Boom!
The ground behind him is struck. The resulting wind force hits his body and throws him off guard. He hits the ground with a heavy thud.
"Aaahh!"
A small, muffled grunt leaves his mouth. He was moving so fast that the heavy impact hurts. But this is not the ti to think about pain. He sees the robust body of the beast in his sight again.
This ti, others have caught up to him. Jeremy’s expression grows serious; he didn’t expect other beasts to join the chase. Looking for a way out, he uses his second eye ability.
He suddenly sees the presence of other corrupted beasts in the area. They are all laying low, likely wanting to avoid drawing attention to themselves.
Jeremy thinks this is his chance. He uses his strength to get up and activates his movent technique.
"Explosive Steps!"
A trendous force generates under his feet, propelling his body forward. This ti, he is truly going all out.
The Tier-6 Tsetse Fly Beast is annoyed. It thought it had cornered the human prey and didn’t expect him to flee again.
Buzz!
Now, a swarm of Tsetse Fly Beasts joins the hunt. They follow the Tier-6 Beast’s lead, razing trees and forest cover along the way.
Jeremy has never run this wildly before. This is even more difficult than the Beast Invasion.
Swoosh!
He steps directly into the territory of another corrupted beast. With his eyesight, he spots it from a distance. To divert his pursuers, he has no choice but to get closer to it.
The beast is a type of centipede. Its multiple legs are clearly visible. He heads towards the tail end, knowing the centipede’s ground speed will be faster than the fly beast’s.
Because it is a genuine ground beast, any mistake he makes will be terrible.
Boom!
The destruction behind him is closing in. Just as he gets closer, the centipede moves. Hundreds of legs move at once.
Jeremy feels another sense of crisis, those legs are sharp, long, and lethal.
"Sh!t," Jeremy curses. He thinks the centipede has seen through his plan.
Swoosh!
The centipede begins moving away from the spot.
At the sa ti, the swarm of Tsetse Fly Beasts cos to a halt, sensing the centipede’s presence. This gives Jeremy Night a precious mont to act.
He looks around for another opportunity to escape. Finally, his gaze spots sunken land again. The low-lying area could provide cover.
Swoosh!
Jeremy Night runs once more using Explosive Steps. In front of this group of flying insects, his beast-repellent odor isn’t working.
Instead, they are actively chasing him. He realizes it’s because of the Tier-6 Beast; it has recognized him completely.
Even if he escapes today, he knows he will face this problem again in the future.
At the sa ti, the Centipede beast is looking at the swarm of insect fly beast. It doesn’t know whether the group of insect beasts will launch an attack.
The Tsetse Fly insect beasts were thinking the sa, looking at the centipede beast.
