Dark Swamp
Jeremy moved away from the spot after hurting the insect bug.
Aaahhhh!
One of the Beast Tars faced a backlash. He let out an earth-shattering scream. His beast was the insect bug. Since the insect bug was injured, his ntal zone was hurt as well.
His scream alerted everyone. Then they saw the insect bug was injured. Soone had attacked the beast right before their eyes.
"Be careful!"
"The target is sneak-attacking us!"
"Find the target as soon as possible!"
"Protect your lifeline beasts!"
The remaining four Beast Tars voiced their opinions. They quickly moved their lifeline beasts closer to them.
The injured Beast Tar called back his insect bug. The insect bug disappeared from the spot and went back to the ntal zone.
Fortunately, the injury was not life-threatening. His lifeline beast could still be saved. If the lifeline beast died, he would be crippled. So, he left the group and stayed behind them.
The other four Beast Tars were tense. How could a Tier-3 Beast Tar hurt a Tier-5 Lifeline Beast? It was the thought on everyone’s mind.
They thought the target had used a trump card to hurt the insect bug. Nobody knew what the trump card was.
No one had seen the attack. They couldn’t help but talk to their leader. The Tier-6 Beast Tar erged. His expression darkened. Now he realized his mistake.
There was a reason why the higher-ups sent a team to eliminate the target. The target was not a simple Tier-3 Beast Tar; he had a trump card as well.
The Tier-6 Beast Tar was serious now. He thought it was ti to summon his own lifeline beast.
But when he saw the condition of the Beast Tar resting on the ground, he dismissed the idea. First, he would find the target. Then, he would kill him in the end.
"Move your lifeline beasts together. It must be an aerial-type attack," he said to them.
The Tier-5 Beast Tars had no other choice. They acted as per his order.
Boom!
The black snake moved forward again. It was moving in a zig-zag manner, followed by the Red Scorpion. The scorpion was ready with its deadly stinger.
Lastly, the two Mosquito Beasts were moving through the air, but they could only fly at a low altitude. They were more prone to facing the next attacks.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night was still using his X-ray vision. He saw what was happening on the other side.
Seeing the four other lifeline beasts moving forward at the sa ti, his mouth curved into an arc.
He put the gun back in its case. Then, he removed the katana blade and held it in his hand. He started using his starlight power.
A single thread of starlight power ca out from his hand. In a flash, the starlight thread covered the edge of the blade.
Swoosh!
He darted out from the place using "Explosive Steps." The force exploding beneath his feet propelled him forward.
"He is here!"
"Look, he is charging forward..."
"Seeking death!"
The Beast Tars comnted one after another. The Tier-6 Beast Tar didn’t speak, but his gaze was locked on the target.
He wanted to see the target’s trump card, so he told the Tier-5 Beast Tars to attack. It was not the ti to hold back their abilities.
The Beast Tars gave the command.
Hiss!
The black snake hissed out loud. The next second, it opened its wide mouth. Two streams of deadly venom sprayed from its mouth. The deadly venom was about to fall on the target.
Swoosh!
Jeremy felt a sense of crisis. He shifted his body and avoided the venom attack. The venom went past him and landed on the ground.
Sshsh!
The deadly venom, much like scorpion venom, was dangerous. It turned the green patches into pools of corrosive water.
If it were to land on the body of a Beast Tar, they would turn into a pool of blood, especially since the target was a lower-tier Beast Tar.
The Beast Tars who were watching the scene from behind were stunned.
They didn’t expect a Tier-3 Beast Tar to avoid the attack at the last mont. But in the next second, the scene stunned them even more.
Puchak!
Jeremy slashed the blade at the blood vessels. The blade swept across before breaking the green scales.
The green scales were unable to withstand the starlight power. The blade went deep before cutting through the blood vessels.
Puchak!
Blood gushed forth like torrential rain. The black snake hissed out loud.
Hiss!
It was severely injured by the blade and went on a rampage. If this situation continued, the snake would die from the bleeding.
Aaahh!
Another blood-curdling scream sounded. It was the Beast Tar who was the contractor of the black snake.
He suffered the sa fate as the previous Beast Tar, receiving a backlash as well. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and fell to the ground.
"Take back your lifeline beast!" the Tier-6 Beast Tar ordered.
Hearing that, the Beast Tar did as he was told.
Swoosh!
The black snake disappeared from the spot and went back to the ntal zone.
By this ti, Jeremy Night appeared close to the Red Scorpion. Apart from the deadly stinger, nothing posed a threat to him.
Cut!
Jeremy swung his blade. The blade went in an arc before cutting down the front legs.
Puchak!
The starlight thread felt no resistance. It hacked the legs in two. He didn’t stop there and swung the blade again.
The blade ca in contact with a weak point. It penetrated the soft part before cutting down the blood vessels.
Puchak!
A stream of blood gushed forth from the wound again. The Red Scorpion collapsed onto the ground.
Buzz!
Just as he thought of targeting the other two beasts, he faced two needles before his eyes. These were the mouthparts of the blood mosquitoes.
Swoosh!
Jeremy Night’s senses scread at him. His speed exploded. Because he took an abrupt turn, he lost his balance and crashed onto the ground.
Buzz!
The two blood mosquitoes ca up behind him.
