Wilderness
Jeremy almost left the inner part of the wilderness. If he went further, he would be able to see the city wall. He was close to the city now.
Boom!
Just as he relaxed, he heard a faint booming sound. It was coming from his right side. It was not near.
Still, he used his eye power. He zood in. The next second, he saw dust and smoke covering a particular patch of land.
He paused his footsteps and began to stare in that direction. He thought the dust and smoke were caused by sothing.
"What's going on here?" Jeremy asked himself.
Then he saw the dust and smoke clearing. A massive beast over 3 tres tall was charging forward.
His gaze then went past the beast. He saw a few more similar beasts following it from behind. He paid attention to their appearance.
He imdiately recognised the beasts because he had faced this type of creature before, back in the 9th zone.
"Wind wolves," he muttered.
He had never seen one in this wilderness. Then he realised he was not native to this place, and he had yet to fully explore every piece of land here.
Jeremy was convinced that he was not fully aware of the terrain. Looking at the size of the beasts, he confird that they were Tier-4 beasts.
There was a certain distance between them. He could still escape, but for so reason, he didn't want to do that.
A fighting intent appeared in his heart. He wanted to fight now. Earlier, he had avoided it because of the Dark Shade mbers' presence.
Now that he had the opportunity, he was not going to spare these beasts.
Swoosh!
He unsheathed his katana blade. He gripped the handle tightly.
The wind wolves spotted him as well. The first wind wolf, which was charging forward, was a Tier-4 Corrupted Beast.
Jeremy used his eye power again. He zood in on the beast. He used his second eye power to find the blood vessels.
The beast's body beca transparent. He could see the blood vessels in the beast's body. Jeremy pointed his blade downward.
As ti passed, the distance between the beast and him was reduced. When the beast got closer, his full attention was on it.
A wind wolf over 3 tres in size.
Roar!
It let out a furious roar and swept its claws towards him.
Jeremy Night watched the beast's movent. His eyes caught the details. The beast's movent appeared slow in his eyes.
Cut!
He shifted his body weight and swung the blade. The blade went in a wide arc.
Puchak!
The blade swept across the beast's body. The blade went inside the flesh and ca in contact with the blood vessels.
Upon contact, the blood vessels were severed. Blood spurted from the wound.
Roar!
The wind wolf roared out in pain.
In a flash, he withdrew the blade. He charged at the next beast. It was a Tier-4 wind wolf. He ca across its deadly claws. He sidestepped again before stabbing the neck.
Punchak!
The blade penetrated the flesh and cut the blood vessels of the beast again. Blood gushes forth from the wound.
The beast collapsed onto the ground the next second. He ca across four other beasts.
Swoosh!
He evaded the attacks at the last mont. The beasts' claws tore through the empty air. The claws missed his body by a small fraction of a second.
Jeremy evaded the four attacks in the blink of an eye. When he reached the end, he turned around and looked towards the beasts.
The four wind wolves were over 3 tres in size.
Roar!
They roared out loud in unison. Two of the beasts were dead, lying on the ground. It made the remaining wind wolves angry.
Boom!
The next second, they opened their mouths wide.
A green-coloured energy appeared. The next second, it took the shape of a blade.
Swoosh!
The four wind wolves shot out wind blades. With a whistling sound, the wind blades ca at him.
A hint of seriousness appeared in Jeremy Night's eyes. He knew that these wolves had special abilities. That was why they were called wind wolves.
Boom!
Jeremy's eyes perceived the blade movents. He once again shifted his weight to evade the attacks.
A blade whistled past his ear. It cut through the air and landed on the ground.
Boom!
The next second, the blade created a narrow cut on the ground. The shock force swept across the area.
It quickly spread and uprooted the green vegetation.
Boom!
One after another, the next three blades missed him and struck the ground with a heavy thud.
The wind blades swept across the ground and created a deep, narrow pit.
The shock force overturned the earth. Stones and vegetation were thrown from the spot.
Jeremy was shocked. If the wind blades were to land on his body, his body would have been torn apart.
He then collected his thoughts and remained in the sa spot.
Swoosh!
The next second, the four beasts charged at him once again. He kept the blade close. Then, he covered the blade's edge in starlight thread.
With the added power of the starlight thread, the cut would be fast and smooth.
A wind wolf was ready to bite him. Its razor-sharp teeth were close to his body.
Stab!
Jeremy swung his blade. The blade ca downward in an arc. The blade cut through the flesh and penetrated deep inside.
This happened within seconds.
Before the beast could move past him, he withdrew the blade and stabbed the next beast.
Puchak!
This ti, the starlight-filled blade pierced the head. It went deep before puncturing the brain.
Boom!
The 3rd and 4th beasts' attacks reached him. He twisted his body and withdrew the blade. A beast's claw struck the ground.
At the sa ti, the 4th beast collided with the dead beast. The impact force struck Jeremy and pushed him backward.
Swoosh!
Jeremy moved backward and created a wide gap. Only the 3rd and 4th beasts remained on the spot. He was surprised that the beasts didn't flee from the place.
