Wilderness
Jeremy Night is watching over them in secret. Dominic and the others are continuing to move forward.
If they had known their target was near, then their actions would have been different.
Seeing that everyone is moving ahead, Jeremy Night sighed inwardly. He really didn't want to expose too much of his skills.
Governor Martin is near. He will find out easily.
Tremor!
Just as he watched their backs as they left, he felt a tremor beneath his feet. The ground was shaking.
The trees, vegetation, and bedrock were shaking hard.
"This?" Jeremy uttered.
Not only him, but the Darkshade mbers stopped in their tracks ahead. They were shocked by the tremor as well.
Jeremy suddenly got a bad feeling about this tremor. He thought it would stop after a few seconds, but it continued to occur.
...
Border
Governor Martin is standing in mid-air. His expression was not good. He saw a small Beast Tide.
Many lower-tier corrupted beasts are rushing from the unexplored region. He was totally confused.
He didn't know where these lower-tier beasts were coming from. Then he noticed sothing amiss.
Among the lower-tier beasts, many of them are not native to the wilderness. He saw wind wolves and foxes.
These beasts are not usually seen in this wilderness. He didn't plan on squashing them because he wanted to find out what's making them flee.
At the sa ti, he thought that this small beast tide would bolster the thinned beast tide population.
Suddenly, he thought of the young Tier-3 Beast Tar. He then shook his head. He thought that kid might have gone closer to the city.
So he will be safe. The rest of the people in the wilderness are Tier-4 Beast Tars at least. They can handle the coming beasts.
It's because he thinks that the beasts will spread across the wilderness, so he doesn't think a Beast Tar will encounter a group of corrupted beasts alone.
anwhile
Dominic and the team mbers are clueless. Their lifeline beasts have all sensed so kind of danger approaching them.
Their lifeline beasts warned them to leave the place as soon as possible. But they have a mission to do. They are unwilling.
But if they do wait here, they could encounter real danger. So everyone is looking towards Dominic.
Dominic is a Tier-6 Beast Tar. He thinks the tremor might be caused by a small beast tide.
He decided to face it. He believes all the higher-tier beasts were killed in the battle. Only a small group of Tier-5 beasts could be left.
"Everyone!"
"Don't be afraid. It could be a small beast tide. I will take care of it," Dominic said to the team mbers.
"But our main goal is to find the target. If we miss the opportunity, the higher-ups won't let go of this matter," he added.
Hearing that, the faces of the mbers changed drastically. They forgot about the higher-ups. The current mission was taken up by the previous two teams.
But their ends were miserable. Though it was not related to the target, they believed that the mission was bad luck to begin with.
The previous beast tars had beco food for the higher-tier beasts.
Now that they are hearing about the beasts again, so of the mbers started panicking. The ending of the previous beast tars was on their minds.
But they were afraid to speak out right now.
Dominic was not known for being friendly. He will abandon anyone who doesn't listen to him.
At the sa ti, Dominic frowned. The appearance of the beasts pissed him off. He wanted to find the target.
If the corrupted beasts were causing problems, then the target might feel threatened. The target could go back to the city.
He felt more angry thinking about it.
Boom!
A small group of beasts appeared a few minutes later. Different types of corrupted beasts were part of the tide.
Many beasts were rushing forward.
Dominic and the others were shocked. They had never seen such different types of beasts before.
Dominic and the others summoned their lifeline beasts.
A 20-foot-long dark alligator appeared on the ground next to Dominic. It is a Tier-6 lifeline beast.
Dominic began to command the beast.
The huge alligator swept its tail across one of the groups.
Boom!
The wind force generated by the sweeping of the tail struck the group. The lower-tier beasts were abruptly thrown backward.
They flew backward before hitting the ground.
Roar!
The Tier-6 alligator roared out loud. The beasts were all injured, but they were not dead.
On the other hand, the team mbers have started their fight against the corrupted beasts.
Their hands are tied. No one has ti to pay attention to others.
At the sa ti, Jeremy tried to slip away. If the beasts find him first, then the situation will beco ugly.
Swoosh!
He escaped from the place smoothly. He started going back to the city. The beast tide occurred all of a sudden.
He doesn't have a good feeling about this matter. What if Tier-6 and above beasts appeared? It would be life-threatening.
He had escaped from a Tier-6 before, but it won't happen every ti, especially in a situation like this.
Ti passed
It didn't take long for the Governors to notice sothing was wrong. Orion and Leon left the city in a hurry. No one noticed their departure.
They entered the wilderness. Then they saw various small groups of corrupted beasts spreading across the wilderness.
Orion noticed so new types of corrupted beasts among the group. He was sure that he had not seen these beasts in their wilderness.
Before he could tell Leon about it, Leon noticed the problem as well. He had never seen wolves before.
They were only spotted in so of the wilderness of other Human Zones.
Orion and Leon looked into each other's eyes. They both confird the fact that a threat has co again from the border area where Martin is monitoring the place.
Both of them then quickly rushed towards Martin to see him. Only then could they understand what's going on here.
A few minutes later,
They ca to the side of Martin, who was standing in mid-air. Then they saw a new type of corrupted beasts crossing the border.
Fortunately, they are lower-tier beasts. If the higher-tier beasts had appeared, then it could have beco a second beast invasion.
"Where are these beasts coming from?" Orion asked.
"It's difficult for new species to get here. Unless soone is behind it," Leon said all of a sudden.
"What are you saying? Are you implying a human hand is behind this?" Orion asked.
"Then explain to : how were these new corrupted beasts able to get here? There are no wild wolves in the surrounding miles, even in the unexplored region. No one has spotted wild wolves before," Leon said, making his point.
Orion was speechless because Leon made a valid point, but he didn't have an answer for it.
Orion didn't know why anyone would want to introduce beasts to their wilderness, especially if the person was a Human Beast Tar.
Orion then turned towards Martin.
"Martin, why are you silent? Did you find out anything?" Orion asked him.
Martin had already thought of sothing, but he doesn't want to believe it.
He took a deep breath before saying, "I, too, think the current situation doesn't have another explanation. If it was man-made, then the previous beast tide could be man-made as well."
Boom!
Both the Governors felt like a thunderclap struck their heads. They didn't know what was going on for a second.
It took them a few minutes to digest the information.
Gasp!
Orion sucked in a cold breath of air. He found it hard to believe. But when he paid attention slowly, he understood the reason.
Who could pull this off? A Tier-9 beast? But they had never heard of it before.
Above Tier-9 beasts are Colossal Beasts. But they had never seen Colossal Beasts here. So it's not the Colossal beasts, but sothing else.
It leaves behind the human hand.
"Who could it be? Who has such power?" Orion asked.
Leon said, "It must be soone from the Human Alliance. Only they have such power. But still, I don't know how they managed to do it."
"Human Alliance? Don't tell Lord Ambrose and Maurice had warned us about this?" Orion said in shock.
"Don't co to any conclusion. It could be a criminal organization. They have similar power as well. Not only that, they have logistics and resources," Martin said with a grim smile.
Hearing that, Orion and Leon looked at each other. Their gazes were filled with shock.
"If there is any organization, then it's the Mighty Order. They are more elusive than the Darkshade mbers," Orion said.
"Yes, it must be them. Only the higher-ups in the Human Alliance can track their whereabouts. We don't know who or where they are," Leon said.
"We don't have to poke our noses into it. We have to deal with the beast tide here. As long as it's not dangerous, then we don't have to report."
"But if another beast tide appears, we have to tell them," he said.
