Wilderness
The old man continued to observe the place. He didn’t feel the probing gaze now. Then, he started walking towards the ridge.
The mbers behind him saw the scene as well. Their team leader was walking again.
They started following from behind. Unlike the old man, they were not vigilant. The Tier-6 Beast Tars were chatting among themselves.
This carelessness ca from the fact that they knew about the deadly ridge.
They had been here before. If their target was here, he would likely die from the unknown plants rather than by their hands.
Shortly afterwards,
They reached the foot of the ridge. From there, they could see the hilltop. The field was covered in unknown plants.
Most of them were black plants of different shapes and types.
Upon arriving at the place, the old man stopped in his tracks. He saw the hilltop. The mbers behind him stopped as well. They were looking at the field too.
This sight took them down mory lane. The place held both good and bad mories for them.
Many of the beast tars had suffered in this place. So casualties had occurred due to poisoning.
anwhile,
The three elders were watching the movents of these Beast Tars. Up ahead, linda and Jeremy Night were moving. They were shielded by the overgrown bushes and vegetation.
linda was careful to clear the path by cutting down the small plants.
She was not making any large movents. On the other hand, Jeremy Night was not saying anything.
He was observing the place. It didn’t take long for him to find the people at the foot of the hill.
Jeremy’s eyes turned icy cold. He saw six people at the bottom. He recognized their uniforms; they belonged to the Dark Shade Organization.
He didn’t expect these people to co here so soon.
Jeremy then tried to observe their strength. He found that the old man standing in front was unfathomable.
He didn’t know why, but his heart skipped a beat. He shifted his gaze toward the other mbers.
He found that the strength of the mbers seed familiar. He thought they were Tier-6 Beast Tars because he was getting uneasy as well. The sense of crisis was still there.
But it was weaker than the threat from the old man. Jeremy himself was following behind Sister linda.
He was not getting any sense of crisis from her at all. So, he knew the difference between Tier-5, Tier-6, and Tier-7 Beast Tars.
Jeremy tried to calm his heart. He knew that killers were after his life. If he were alone, he could have done sothing. But he was with Sister linda.
If a fight were to occur, they would have a slim chance of escaping alive. How could they fight against a Tier-7 Beast Tar? Not only that, there were five Tier-6 Beast Tars.
Jeremy didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to fight them. He had been careless. He had killed a Tier-6 Beast Tar before, but it doesn’t an he could take down this entire group.
He didn’t expect a killer organization like Dark Shade would send a team led by a Tier-7 Beast Tar. It was overkill for right now.
Suddenly, he felt an intense gaze on him. He was taken aback because the intense gaze was not coming from the Tier-7 Beast Tar or the others behind him.
He felt the gaze from another direction. He used his eye power and saw three people in his zood-in vision. He saw their uniforms and recognized them completely.
He was stunned. The elders were wearing the uniform of the Red Moon Chamber. He had only seen the Elders wearing that uniform, so he knew they were on his side.
He wondered what they were doing here. Then, he imdiately thought of Head Harold.
He thought it must be the backup plan of Head Harold. He cald his heart. Now that they were here, he was not afraid of the old man and the others anymore.
On the other hand, linda had been keeping an eye on Jeremy Night. She found him zoning out from ti to ti.
She wanted to ask why but stayed silent. She then thought of sothing and said, "It’s ti to teach you about the dangerous plants."
"The one with thorns near you is one of the poisonous plants. It’s called Black Thorn. It can kill Tier-4 Beast Tars and Corrupted Beasts," she added.
Hearing that, Jeremy paused his footsteps. His gaze fell on the thorn plant a few inches away from him. He didn’t expect a normal-looking plant to be this dangerous.
anwhile
The old man located the target. He saw a young man and woman getting close to the uphill path. He saw through their strength.
One of them was a Tier-3 Beast Tar and the other was a Tier-5 Beast Tar.
The old man was convinced that he had located the target. He then inford the mbers behind him. Hearing that, they were silent. The mbers then started looking towards the uphill.
With the help of their lifeline beasts, they easily located the target. He was walking behind and exploring the field with his team mbers.
But these people didn’t know that soone else was watching them. The three elders were watching and listening to the conversation.
They were shocked. They didn’t expect a group of Beast Tars to be here to kill Jeremy Night and linda.
The three elders were not going to let that happen.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night noticed the situation down below. He didn’t expect the elders to find the killers.
At the sa ti, linda noticed the situation as well. Her lifeline beasts reminded her of the Beast Tars down below.
She could only see figures at the bottom, and she didn’t know their strength level, but she felt sothing was off.
She said, "Jeremy Night, follow . The place is not safe anymore."
Hearing that, Jeremy Night recovered his thoughts and started following her. He thought that the elders would take care of the enemies. Both of them had to stay quiet until the end.
Then, both of them moved uphill. They moved at a slow speed; otherwise, they would be poisoned by the plants.
