Wilderness
The second team ca to realize that they were heading toward the deadly ridge. Other than that, there is no noticeable place in that direction.
They are from the Beast Taming Hill Family. They didn't know about the Dark Shade Organization.
They were following the orders of the Head of the Family. They are getting near to the foot of the ridge.
anwhile,
The three Elders appeared in front of the old man and the team mbers. They were all shocked. Only the old man looked at them with a knowing gaze.
Now he understood where the probing gaze from earlier ca from. They were the ones who had looked at him.
The old man frowned. He recognized their uniform.
"Elders of The Red Moon Chamber," he uttered. Then he looked towards the uphill path. He could see soone moving towards the hilltop.
They were the targets. His eyes flashed with hesitation. If he wanted to attack, then he had to go past them.
The three Elders were not naive. At this point, they knew that these people were targeting the two mbers who were going uphill.
The Elders had heard the conversations earlier. They knew that they were from the Dark Shade Organization.
They couldn't recognize the uniform earlier.
But now they recalled seeing the uniform of the killers' organization. Years ago, they were driven out of the city.
The City Governors at that ti led the campaign. But they didn't expect to see the mbers of the criminal organization again.
And too, Tier-7 and Tier-6 Beast Tars. It shows that the organization is big—not an organization fighting for survival.
They were just puzzled as to why they were after these two young mbers of the organization.
"I didn't expect your organization to survive. Now, why are you targeting our mbers?" one of the elders asked.
Hearing that, the face of the old man changed drastically. The Tier-6 mbers behind them were afraid as well.
Though there is a single-tier difference between them, a Tier-7 Beast Tar can single-handedly take care of them.
"Now, scatter," the old man uttered.
Swoosh!
Hearing that, the Tier-6 Beast Tars split in different directions and fled from the place. Only the old man remained standing before them.
The Elders were not surprised; they were expecting this situation. The leading elder's eye signaled the two beside him.
Swoosh!
The two Elders left the place and went after them. They had to catch those Tier-6 Beast Tars and find out the whereabouts of their hideout.
If they let them go, they could bring harm to the mbers again.
Since they were targeting the Red Moon Chamber, they knew the consequences would be serious if they escaped.
This all happened within minutes. Now, the two old n were staring into each other's eyes.
The Senior Elder's na was Hugo. He seed to recognize the old man in front of him; it's just that his mory was vague.
"Senior, it appears you forgot about ," the old man from the Dark Shade Organization said.
Hearing the tone, a jolt appeared in Hugo's mory. He then thought of sothing.
"You are Walter, right?" Hugo asked.
Hearing that, the old man cracked a wide grin on his face.
"It appears you rembered," Walter said.
"We had thought you died in the previous raid which happened years ago," Hugo said.
His expression was complex. They might have been acquaintances decades ago, but the person in front of him was now nothing but a wanted criminal.
To get a breakthrough opportunity, he had joined the Dark Shade Organization.
"Shall we go and fight sowhere else?" Hugo said.
He had a good idea about Walter's lifeline beast. It would go on a rampage and cause harm to the surroundings.
He didn't want the beast to appear near the deadly ridge. He didn't want the beast to destroy the ridge.
Furthermore, he didn't want the mbers to get caught in the crossfire.
To that, Walter nodded his head. He then looked towards the dark ridge. After giving one final glance at the black ridge, Walter left the place. Seeing that, Hugo left the place as well.
He wanted to give a final heads-up to the two mbers, but he chose not to in the end.
Swoosh!
He then left the place and started going towards Hugo.
Shortly afterwards,
The second team arrived at the place. The second team consisted of a single Tier-6 Beast Tar and five Tier-5 Beast Tars.
They didn't know that the killers from the Dark Shade had left.
The Tier-6 Beast Tar is a middle-aged man. His na is Gibbs. He has a lean physique with a pale skin tone.
He appears to be sickly and weak, but it's just appearance. His eyes flash with a cunning glint. The mbers standing behind him have respect in their eyes.
It shows that Gibbs is formidable. He then began to observe the place. He was looking for any sign of a blueprint, but he didn't see any clues with his eyes.
The mbers behind him were doing the sa activity. They brought out their lifeline beasts. One after another, lifeline beasts over the size of three and four ters appeared on the ground.
Each of them released a dangerous coercion from their bodies. The coercion struck the nearby trees and the surrounding place.
The Beast Tars then ordered them to quiet down. The lifeline beasts beca quiet. Then they received orders and started searching the place.
Seeing that, Team Leader Gibbs nodded his head. He could see the efforts of the people.
He then began looking for clues himself.
The five mbers were searching the place, but the area of the black ridge was big. It's not easy to search.
Ti passed
The team mbers continued to search the place. The place was filled with poisonous plants.
The poisonous scent and pollen had spread all over the place. It was hindering the senses of the lifeline beasts.
So, the Tier-5 Beast Tars were unable to locate the targets. It didn't take long for the sensible mbers to understand the reason.
"Team Leader, the place is poisonous. The air contains dangerous pollen."
He could use his lifeline beast's ability to learn whether people had been here or not. His lifeline beast was not an ordinary beast, but a Tier-6 Cave Bat.
