Red Moon Chamber
Jeremy Night continued to browse online stores. He checked other online sites; the result was the sa.
All the products were set at high prices. He didn't want to waste ti, so he paid for all the low-tier poison.
Even if it was not effective against the higher-tier beasts, he decided to have them.
That night, the delivery person brought the products to the organization. He left the room and went downstairs to collect the poison products.
The lobby was filled with people. The mbers were going about their business. They didn't pay attention to him.
Jeremy walked out of the building and t the delivery person. He collected the products and went back inside the building.
This ti, he imdiately heard a fierce discussion taking place. Everyone was talking about the wilderness. They were in shock by the increase in the number of corrupted beasts.
They were worried that a beast tide could happen at any ti. It was just a matter of ti before the Governor called upon them.
He stopped paying attention to them and started going towards his room.
...
Wilderness
The Tier-9 Black Centipede secretly gave orders to the corrupted beasts to attack the human settlents first.
So, a large number of corrupted beasts were going towards the human settlents. One of the human settlents had already been taken down by the Tier-9 beast.
On the other hand, almost everyone in the other human settlents had moved out. Especially after the beast killed Governor Leon.
Governors Martin and Orion swiftly acted. The people from other settlents were moved to the city. Only a few of them remained, and they would be back soon.
That night, all the corrupted beasts reached the place. When they tried to attack the human settlent, they didn't find a single human.
The houses were empty. The beasts barged into the settlent and started to raze down everything. The houses were destroyed.
The sa thing was happening in other settlents. There were Tier-6 and Tier-7 corrupted beasts among the attackers, but they failed to find a single human in the settlent.
The Tier-6 and Tier-7 beasts were doing nothing. Only the lower-tier beasts were doing the job. They were easily destroying the building structures.
The Tier-7 beasts relayed the information back to the Tier-9 Black Centipede. The massive beast was hiding in the unexplored region.
It heard information from the beast. The beast's intelligent eyes flickered. It was not surprised. It had killed two Tier-8 Beast Tars even before the actual attack on the city.
It had also killed a lot of people in the human settlent. So had moved to the city early, but the rest of them died under its poison attack.
The Tier-9 beast didn't stop the attack. It told the beasts to destroy the place completely so that no more settlents could be built next ti.
anwhile
The Beast Tars who didn't know about the silent migration went to the human settlent. They ultimately ca across the beast group.
They saw that the human settlents were destroyed. There was no trace of anyone left in the settlent.
So of them fled the place; others confronted the beasts. They failed to escape from them.
It didn't take long for the news to spread. Most of the Beast Tars were going back to the city because of orders from above.
But so were stuck at the borders. It would take so ti for them to return. Yet, the news about the human settlent's destruction spread.
The Beast Tars who fled earlier took the news to the city gate. They told the news to the guards. The guards then inford the Captain.
Not long after, Governors Martin and Orion heard the news. They were stunned. Martin then realized that the beasts had started making moves.
The Tier-9 beast probably couldn't sit still.
Governor Orion felt dread.
He said, "The new Tier-9 beast doesn't seem to be weaker than the previous beast. In fact, it is a lot smarter."
"It's taking ti to target us. Only the Lords can do sothing about it," he added.
Martin felt the sa. The new Tier-9 beast seed to be cunning. It had already killed two Tier-8 Beast Tars. Before more losses could occur, they had to watch over the city.
He then thought of sothing and turned towards Governor Orion.
"Brother, you should not enter the wilderness alone. The Tier-9 beast could target you," he said.
"I know. Not only , no one should enter the wilderness alone. We should wait for the Lords to arrive," Orion replied.
On the other hand, the Tier-9 Beast Tars were on their way. They knew the seriousness of the problem.
All of them were traveling in one single, large aircraft.
There were three male Tier-9 Beast Tars and two female Tier-9 Beast Tars. All of them were elderly. They were higher-ups and part of the elder group.
The main team had entered the unexplored region to explore. The other reserve teams were working to expand the human zones.
Right now, there were no strong Tier-9 Beast Tars in the human alliance. Those who remained had only recently broken through.
They wouldn't be enough against the powerful and cunning Tier-9 beast. Only the elders could do sothing about it. They had heard about the volatile situation in the 5th Zone.
It was as if an invisible hand was moving the corrupted beasts against the city. Usually, after a beast tide, it would take a year or two for similar things to happen.
Yet, City A in the 5th Zone was experiencing back-to-back attacks. The elders felt sothing was wrong. They couldn't pinpoint what it was because of the lack of details.
So, the five elders ca forward to investigate the matter. They felt there could be more than one Tier-9 beast.
If the previous Lord had known another Tier-9 beast was going to cause problems, he wouldn't have returned.
This ti, they didn't want to make mistakes. They would eradicate the Tier-9 beasts threatening the 5th Zone. If City A were attacked, the other cities would be affected as well.
Their priority was to save City A. They knew the beast there had already killed one of the governors. The news was being kept secret for now.
